Here are my favorite thriller books that I've read: Blue Monday by Nicci French, A Simple Act of Violence by R.J. Ellory, Scarpetta by Partricia Cornwell, and The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides ( currently reading ), The Butterfly Garden by Dot Hutchinson.

VERITY is such a good book. I love thriller books and I definitely would recommend a good girls guide to murder. It’s actually a trilogy series but it’s SO GOOD
I read east of eden 8 years ago my junior year of high school and loved it. I also reread it about 4 years ago and it held up. If you start to get confused in anyway don’t be afraid to look at the spark notes and reread chapters. Its a dense book no matter how old you are. I was honestly shocked thats the book your sister recommended to you, put a smile on my face. ALSO if you want a small book to read and read get The House on Mango Street. Its a vignette style book, super short, but highly recommend

I recently bought East of Eden because it has been popping up a lot the last week or two and saw people like Emma Chamberlain reading it, so now im taking this as my sign to start it!
My top books that I think you’d like- The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo, the midnight library, invisible life of Addie larue, the wife upstairs, and the guest list!
you should read Then She Was Gone!! It's a great thriller/mystery about a girl's disappearence
Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter. It’s DARK but phenomenal. As with all Karin Slaughter - she’s my queen.
PLEASE READ GILLIAN FLYNNS BOOKS! They are my favorite thriller books.

Not a huge fan of Steinbeck's other work, but East of Eden really is everything! Also for another psychological thriller, I definitely recommend Gone Girl! Such a good mind-fuck!
I reccomend reading The 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and Miami Rising from Taylor Jenkins Reid! I think you will love it!
Read Dark Matter & Recursion by Blake Crouch! Great sci-if psychological thrillers
Very different from Colleen Hoover but The Whisper Man by Alex North is a FANTASTIC thriller. It has super short chapters so you’ll breeze right through it :)

I recommend: The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides, The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley, Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell, The Woman in the Window by AJ Finn, The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty, The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins, The Guest List by Lucy Foley. All have great twists and are page-turners!! Happy reading!!!

I looovee reading but definitely have to be in the mood. Reading in the summer is just something else though, I thoroughly enjoy reading outside.

My brother's girlfriend is a English major and she LOVES Steinbeck and East of Eden is her favorite book. Apparently she has read it a ton. Her copy has sticky notes from each time she's read it and has notes in the margins. My dad asked the three of us for book recommendations and without hesitation she said East of Eden. When he was listening to the audio book it was like all he would talk about.
I finished “The Last Time I Lied” by Riley Sager and def recommend!!! Books by Lucy Foley are good thrillers too😊 AH STRAND is amazing💜
