BUY THE UGGS!! If I had the money I would have bought them. Because it's going to get colder and I think about them every time I leave the house.
Hi as someone who’s lived in Minnesota my whole life, I personally love my Uggs, however they are not the best in heavy snow/wet conditions. You’d definitely want a waterproofing spray on them but the salt/slush can still make them look stained. Definitely recommend a more waterproof type of boot for that. Uggs are super warm and comfy for the drier parts of winter though if that makes any sense lol. Love you!!
YES. I'm from WI and I can't let myself buy them.. they just get destroyed. What's the point of outdoor boots not being waterproof? The second you go inside the snow melts and just gets all soaked up into the boots. And they take forever to dry and get crusty stained! They are basically just overpriced, overlywarm for the indoors slippers. Avoid UGGs

Highly recommend getting more of a waterproof snow boot instead of the uggs! The city will be quite slushy after it snows and most likely will ruin the uggs. The salt, snow, and slush is unforgiving during winter months lol

Hey Kristen, quick story time... I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of September. Last Thursday December 8th I had a mastectomy on my left side. I had fallen behind in the videos and I just can't tell you how much I have enjoyed catching up. These last FEW days lying in my bed recouping and watching your videos. if the uggs make you happy do it! personally i wouldn’t (i’ve owned 2 pairs and they lose their fuzziness & structure after a while). however they are warm & cozy but not built for snow.

LOOK AT DIFFERENT COMPANIES FIRST ON THE UGGS. Like journeys, footlocker, macys, Norstrom’s. They carry almost all the same Uggs. Also depending on what size you are if your feet are small enough you can get a kids size (kids 6 = woman’s 8) hope that helps 🖤

Next time you want a spa day take a whole day and go to Sojo spa in Edgewater NJ. Seriously amazing! Everything they have there gets your body so relaxed you don't even need to book a massage.

Omg I’m literally 70% done with A Little Life and I’ve never been on such an emotional rollercoaster with a book 😭 I agree it’s very much heavy hearted but it’s also made me laugh and smile, the author is very good at putting you in the moment as you read. buy the uggs for sure!! I have 2 rules that I stand by when it comes to shopping:
1. if I LOVE it I know I’ll 100% utilize it & it’ll be worth the money
2. I was once told that if you don’t regret the money you spent, that money will come back to you 10 fold! Be happy & proud of the purchases you’re making if you know it’s the right choice!

Hi Kristen! About the uggs, I don’t think they are worth it at all no even in their original price haha. If you really wanted a comfy and warm boot to be at your house you’ll get ones in Walmart that look exactly the same, but people like to pay for the brand (no judgment! I still fall for this too) what I’m trying to say is that if you are gonna spend so much money on a pair of boots get ones that are waterproof or leather, where the materials are worth the money. Just an opinion haha I love vlogmas thanks for always being so transparent with us❤
yes! Speaking as a former Midwesterner - Duck boots, Hunter boots, and/or any other rain/leather boots are going to fare far better for you as the snow begins to pile up on the streets and turn to slush, etc. The last thing you want to think about in blizzards is getting your clothes/shoes dirty. It's worth a consideration!
I really feel like you should get a diffuser and everything you need to dry the curly girl method just for fun and see how it turns out. Also I’d get the boots they’re the best in winter. But you could go to the UGG store in NYC and see what they have there first before you spend double. If you don’t find anything you like more then go for it. That’s what I do

I have the short tan Uggs not the mini’s like the Bella ones. But buy them. I’ve legit had them since 2012 and they’re still going strong. ALSO look into the thermal lined bean boots from Llbean. You won’t regret
If you want the shoes, you work for the shoes, and have some money to spend on shoes alone (don't feel guilty, you live in a different, much colder state), buy the shoes!

I wouldn't buy the ugg version of them because the are so expensive and they will be ruined once it's starts becoming snow season in the city. They will get discolored because of salt and my old Ugg's I wore them through a winter season in Chicago now I can't wear them because the bottoms get wet from the snow. You can always by a knockoff pair if you like that look.
Hey Kristen! I have curly hair and I have been over the past two years learning how to manage and use the right products to bring out my curls. Once I started using a hair dryer defuser attachment my curls are so bouncy and full. I highly recommend!

personally, you stopping yourself from buying the uggs originally shows you didn't want them enough in the first place. I think the fact that they're sold out now is the driving force of you wanting to get them. as opposed to actually wanting them. does that make sense?
i first lived in illinois, then moved to minnesota. uggs are one of the warmest (and cutest) boots around. check zappos if you haven’t, sometimes they have better stock of shoes.
UGGs are great but don't get caught in the rain or snow with them cause they will automatically be ruined. Also be careful in NY with the salt cause even if it's not actively snowing or raining the salt will ruin them as well. But yolo buy them just be careful
I’ve lived in MN all my life so have warm slip on boots is nice. There is a brand called Bear Paw that are a lot cheaper than Uggs if you’re just trying to get a feel for that style of boots. I also think the platform style of those Bella hadid uggs you showed is not practical for winter.. like it might be really really slippery and hard to walk in with snow or rain.

Definitely get the uggs! It’s a one time purchase that will last for years if properly taken care off. I also heard there’s a program where you can send them back in exchange for a new pair within the first year if they get damaged. So maybe look into that. You apparently just register your Ugg serial code on the inside tag on their website. I LOVE my uggs. Coming from a girl with severe anemia so my toes are always cold. These keep them so toasty.
