The chandelier starts in 4 separate segments in this production, the beginning overture they all hover around in circles then join into one large piece. You can't see this part in this video, but the entire theater walls around you looks decrepid and old, and right as the chandelier joins together and begins to ascend upwards the old walls transform to look brand new. No other production did it this way. Freaking amazing to see in person. It's a shame the show is no longer running in vegas

Let's just say I'm glad I was off to the side & not sitting under it! Lol. It was excellent! The whole show was great. Glad I decided to go. I saw it Sat. Too bad it's gone now.

I honestly can’t express how amazing this was and will forever be grateful I got to see it. To see the chandelier come together was magical. We sat right under it as well so when it fell, you felt the rush of air and slid down into your seat!

At one point, the phantom goes "Drop the chandelier!" and it drops, like, 15 feet. I nearly pissed myself. I had a small heart attack having a gigantic prop drop to 3 feet above our heads. But it was awesome!

The introduction to this Chandelier is much more elaborate than what Broadway performed, but one thing I missed from this model is the harp-like decor lined along the tiers (the figurines that resemble hair picks).

The Chandelier Crash in Vegas is different than any any of the current shows or the Movie. The Chandelier comes straight down and the lights go out with it about 15 feet above the heads of the audience (I know I have sat right under it) and the there is the sound of the chandelier crashing and the auditorium rumbles. and it comes down pretty fast. Almost at free fall but it is under the control of the computer the whole time.
