I didn't know it is like that.And you can see Bradley is old school, He carries the amp, you know I was in a Music store last week,also a real one and asked for the Fender Twin. Brillant, you ask politely, you're patient, you get! By that I mean a demonstration of the super-phase technique that came up in the earlier video with Bradley, actually seeing (and hearing) how it's done. Incredible to hear how it eliminates the sound almost completely, then flip the phase and Bingo! it's there. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Hi, I'm a litte confused about that phase checking.
    He says he puts it in phase by adjusting the volume on the faders.
    But isn't the position of the micros the only thing that influences the phase correlation and adjusting the volumes until the signal disappears with flipped phase is only used to check the phase correlation?
    Greets

    • @angeloboltinimusic
      @angeloboltinimusic 5 лет назад

      He has both channels flipped OUT of phase, then slides the faders until it sounds thinnest. Theory being that when you flip polarity back again it'll sound the fullest.

    • @daveross37

    • @michider4462
      @michider4462 5 лет назад

      @@angeloboltinimusic Yes, I know. But that's because both mics are leveld at the same volume. While they are in phase. Not due to a better phase correlation that is caused by matching levels. Right?

    Hey Warren and people. I have to decide if the computer I dedicate to music production is a laptop or a tower ? I have a big split screen , monitors and desk. However I have no acoustic treatment and was mixing tracks in a dodge caravan with good sound system and getting good results. I use Cakewalk what do you think. Stay Mobil or go studio.

      @AhmetWinchester 5 лет назад +1

      I think it really depends of what kind of music you wanna do and your overall approach to the "mixing" scene. Generally laptop setups are usually a bit more expensive if you want to have the same specs like on a tower but there are plenty producers who work with laptops and there are at least as much on the opposite site so...

      Gilbert Spader Assuming you already have a laptop, I'd say for recording, go with Reaper because the trial is free and you can still use it to its full capability (plug-ins, recording, etc.) and it won't kill your laptops RAM and really look for a USB mixer so you're killing two birds with one stone; you're able to plug in your mics and get your levels AND you'll be able to send all that into Reaper or you DAW of choice and record that way. I'd check out mixers w/ USB from Mackie, Behringer, and Soundcraft. You can find a pretty sweet selection on Sweetwater or Reverb.
      **Update** I just read your comment again, sorry, I've been flipping back and forth through tabs during the course of the video but you seem to have a pretty killer setup already as far as a computer goes. Everything from Reaper to the end still stands. Hope some of that helps, dude!

      @@Stubz_Perez One detail to be careful about, with mixers w/ USB connection, is whether they're routing ALL the channels to the computer, or just the stereo output of the mixer. The devil's in the details, and all that...

      Desktop is more upgradable. For instance, if i want a zero latency thunderbolt 3 audio interface, I'd have to buy a whole new laptop. With a desktop with a free slot, I could have can just dropped a thunderbolt 3 in there.
      I switched to laptop awhile back because i could leave the room I track in and mix anywhere... somewhere with a window and sunlight :) maybe even out on tue balcony. Personally I have no complaints with using a laptop other than I'm stuck without thunderbolt 3 until the computer craps out. So... no audio upgrade for awhile either. This might be saving me money ha.

    Look, the engineer is clearly very talented and everything but I think we're overlooking one VERY important factor. The guitarist has a moustache AND he wears a flat cap! You couldn't make that guy sound bad if you tried. He's got a moustache and a flat cap for Gods sake!! That's like a guitar super power. It's practically cheating.
