To me this feels like Roja Parfums Enigma PC meets Tom Fords Tobacco Vanille. Its best of both world, very subtle and well made. Is it groundbreaking, nope, but its excellent nevertheless. And yes, bottle is on its way.
I'm a lover of vanillascentric scents. You make this sound really delicious and am very curious about it. Dior as a house is one I do enjoy quite a lot and really want to get sample to check out this new offering soon.
I just got me a bottle of Le Lion!! I am so excited to wear it in the Fall. It’s a little weird but that weirdness grew on me and I adore the drydown because it gets better and better.
I have been stalking the decant sites for this one. I am nuts for vanilla and try every fragrance that has vanilla in the name and have been especially anxious to try this one. I love your description..thanks for reviewing! And please don’t listen to the people who say you love vanilla too much🤭😜
There isn't a Dior counter that sells the La Collection range where I live. But I just so happened to be in Glasgow last week and had the pleasure of testing Tobacolor. It's stunning. Absolutely beautiful! It's bumped to the top of my next big treat purchases. Unfortunately this wasn't in store, I would love to try it as I love Vanilla, cacao and cardamon. Yum!! Your reviews are so superb my bank balance quivers nervously every time I watch but I want to try everything 😂 I recently tried Penhaligon's Babylon, thanks to your wonderful review and fell in love so bought it. Same with Memoirs of a Trespasser. Now I'm expecting Imaginary Authors A Whiff of Waffle Cone. I adore vanilla in perfumes also. There's no such thing as too much vanilla in my opinion. TEAM VANILLA!
I went to a boutique to smell this today because I’m a huge sucker for vanilla. I’m currently using eau duelle by Diptyque and have grown a bit tired of it so I wanted to buy this perfume, I was having high hopes for it but sadly I don’t vibe with the hint of tangerine/ orange smell. I ended up getting happy hour tho!
Agree with Saab Replay below. Sebs reviews are like classical music or a great opera. I even have started to put his reviews on before going to sleep cause his voice are so comforting and the reviews are so honest and the best out there.
I agree with your review and I didn’t enjoy Eden-Roc either but then again my favorites from Dior are Feve Delicieuse, Tobacolor, Gris Dior, la Colle Noire and now my latest Vanilla Diorama. Thank you for your great reviews ❤️
Great video Sebastian, I've been waiting for this one. I've been looking for a solid vanilla but haven't found what I'm looking for, with the exception of Affinessence Vanille Benjoin (recommendation from your video). Can't wait to try this one.
I was in saks 5 th Chicago recently and tried Eden Roc but did not like it I ended up buying souffle de soie that smells like eau des merveilles Hermès I also bought New Look 1947 , Regular Dior Diorama and Hypnotic poison. They prices are ridiculous and are just increasing and the quality is not that great 😞
I tried it in Harrods London the same day they launched and posted a little review on my Instagram. Some of the things you just said are matching my review. Creepy. Haha
OMG!! I cannot wait to get it. I love vanilla as well. Not listed online for U.S. yet? I guess I will wait until I can go to boutique in August. I think Tom Ford will be releasing a new vanilla fragrance in the higher price private line based on some info/name I saw online. (perhaps the same type of info you referred in this video)
I just got my decant of Vanilla Diorama today and I think I'm a bit more pleased with it than you--I think it'll likely be a consensus winner but I strongly agree that it's not as provocative as Feve Delicieuse and is not close to my favorite of the Privee line, Mitzah. Still, I think it hits on the boozy, smoky, resinous, and gourmand aspects very well, and seems to have reasonable strength, but I'll have to see how it plays out longevity-wise when I wear it for a full day. I love vanilla fragrances and this one hits a lot of the marks that I like while not being too edgy, so I expect I'll buy a bottle. I'm curious to hear about the next one, Bigarade, as well.
@@ThePerfumeGuy Absolutely! And even though that means I'm more inclined to like vanilla-rich fragrances, it also means that I'm discriminating about which new releases are really excellent and/or unique. I agree that Vanilla Diorama isn't especially unique but it works for me.
Tobacolor is actually readily available at least here in sweden in the stores, so not too sure about the online exclusivity thing! Looking forward to trying this one i have to say!
You have such a vast knowledge of perfumes. I was wondering if you could recommend a fragrance for me. I'm looking for a Vanilla centric fragrance that actually smells of real vanilla like Eau Duelle and it smells of vanilla throughout the life of the fragrance and not just in the dry down. I also however want it to be sweet like the sweetness of Baccarat Rouge 540 extrait, Delina Exclusive or Kay Ali Vanilla 28. I also wouldn't mind a little booziness to it. For now my Holy Grail Vanilla is Vanille Fatale however it's not almost cloyingly sweet which is what I want at times. Lastly I prefer it to smell like a grown woman fragrance and not something a 20 year old would wear although I don't mind it if it fits the bill. Hope you can help!
The most amazing Vanilla parfume to me by far is Tom Ford Vanille Fatale. It's nothing like Tobacco Vanille BTW. MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold is also a beautiful Vanilla scent.
What they should do is allow for feve delicieuse to be available worldwide. Dior is a house I'm not likely to purchase from in the future, the turnover for their exclusive line is exhausting.

Curious about how similar it might be to (designer's) Rochas Moustache EDP, and/or Mercedes Benz Club Black, both also with a prominent vanilla vibe, but neither being an intense/strong fragrance as well.
I’m so happy I found this channel. I like history and more intricate backgrounds behind fragrances. Also noses are a big interest! Can you speak a bit more to that, and go into different perfumers and their noses and their best creations? I’m looking for a signature scent out of the Privee Collection and I’m having such a hard time picking one because it will be a blind buy although I love gourmand notes like vanilla and cocoa, and I’m in a rut between Vanilla Diorama, Amber Nuit and Fève Dèlicieuse. Maybe you can help me choose!
The naming has nothing to do with capitalising on familiarity, its because the world is running out of names for globally distributed products due to ridiculous intellectual property laws, so once you have something catchy you now stick with it
@@ThePerfumeGuy I think they are going away with those beautiful arts and material gold bottles but will come back on new bottles. I love the OG bottles!!!!

It is for me. I don't see the point of buying an expensive skin scent lol
I bought this and performance is really bad

I layered vanilla diorama with creation e and it's pretty darn good 👍 👌 I like both on their own but together they make an enhanced version of both 😍🥰

Sebastian, would you sat it's worth the $350 price tag? If it smells like Mitsouko, I just might have to try it! Mitsouko is one of my favorites!
I love vanilla too, so I would love to sample this!
Sample it first, smells old to

Great review as always! I sampled Eden Roc but it didn’t work for me either. I passed it along to my daughter.
Sounds like many folks didn’t like Eden Roc?
I am very interested in this as I saw the notes a month or two ago. I am a Dior fan 🙌
I love vanilla this sounds nice with orange and vanilla and cacao. I want to try it.
Vanilla is tough for me but slowly digging it. SDV is one that I enjoy the booziness of.
Like everyone else has been saying, I agree with you that Eden-Roc has zero coconut.
I bought it... It is a fall / winter scent... I wish it was sweeter but just my opinion.
I love everything you do my brother. Andy from Berkeley
Thank you. :)

No not at all.
Both amazing though❤

hi Sebastián, i have just try it, i have find certain similarities with vainille havane Les indomedables 🤔
Great video, l love vanilla fragrances. Does it lean masculine or feminine?
Its very unisex

So excited and curious about this one! Do you think it resembles Hypnotic Poison in any way?
I think it has nothing to do with Hypnotic Poison
Yes yes yes i am a big fan of Eden Roc.
I didn't see part 2 of your favorite notes yet, but I'm guessing patchouli is #1.

DIOR VS CHANEL
Wannna see who wins with their exclusive line in your opinion and Why 👌🏻
Yes!
I think Chanel will win because I think the exclusive line by Chanel more value for money
I prefer dior. 😀
Dior for me. The Chanel Exclusif DNA seems classic and old fashioned to me. The aldehydes that Chanel uses reminds me of grandmas.
@@rogergf totally agree. This vanilla diorama is 👍🏼if you like gourmands
Sebastion in your opinion do you prefer vanilla diorama or lune feline?
I’m thinking of getting Vanilla Diorama, but before I spend another $350, could you tell me if it has any projection or longevity?
There's a smaller bottle you can purchase for around $125.
Tobacolor was not an online exclusive here in the uk
I heard they keep a total pf 22 scents in the Privee Line. One comes in, another one goes out…so, which scent got out to introduce this one?…
That sounds slightly similar to Serendipitous 3. How does the 2 compare?
Is it available in USA 🇺🇸??
To me, Eden-Roc was a huge disappointment. It gave me hippie rocky mountain lodge vibes rather than seaside resort which is what it was named after.
this perfume redmind a littl bit of Feve Delecious
Damn , where can i get a sample of that cake?
I hope with changing the name back, they'll give us the paris exclusives back 😬
Have you tried Vetiver & Golden Vanilla from Jo Malone?
Yep discussed in this video: ruclips.net/video/c-gqRss8ISo/видео.html

Excellent
What is your #1 vanilla fragrance that is unisex?
Very interesting
Where did you get your bottle?
Not excited for this. Sweet gourmands just don’t have much going on, and I find them completely boring. Regardless thanks for sharing Sebastian
Does it smell like Guerlain Gourmand Coquin, perhaps?
Does it smell more feminine or masculine?
Not similar to Gourmand Coquin whatsoever. But also I have heard it's been discontinued the Guerlain. Is this true?
