They removed the A and B scenarios which is my biggest gripe with the game, so I don't hold it in high regard as a remake (even if it's still a good game) because of removing such an important piece of content that made the original stand out

@@fraeh3398 did you even play the original? The B scenario is very similar to A in the original as well, it is a little more unique than the remake BUT the game ended up repeating itself a lot, enough that the criticism for the remake imo is a little “half-assed” as if they were completely different scenarios in the original. They really didn’t “cut” anything important, no boss fights were cut, the areas that were cut were in the original game for 5 minutes and in exchange they expanded the sewer and lab. I’m definitely not gonna bitch about crows, they were in ONE room, and good for one cheap jump scare, the spiders were in the game for like 50 seconds and that stupid moth usually gets skipped over during a playthrough I haven’t seen that moth in 20 years. “BuT wHaT aBoUt ThE zApPiNg SyStEm!?!?” Oh you mean choosing which windows to close? The sub machine gun or the side pack? Really wasn’t that important to the overall game.

I think RE7 is the best for the simple fact that it saved this series from a slow, painful death it was on track for and allowed us to play the masterfully crafted remakes.
Re7 didnt save the franchise. It lobotomized and took away lots of its personality. Also re7 is by far the worse modern resi game and the worse re game
@@booey27 More or less, the horror of re7 is quite questionable. And as I said its pointless bringing back the horror and not bringing back the rest. Its like asking for sugar in coffe but theres only sugar (with a questionable quality).
People give the RE3 remake way too much shit, just because it wasn't as incredible as RE2 remake doesn't make it straight up BAD like some people wants you to believe, I hear some call it shit and put it as one of the worst RE games ever, and it just doesn't add up for me. It's a great game, and anyone who likes Resident Evil, or survival horror games in general, should absolutely play it. It's such an enjoyable game, even on repeated playthroughs, and has plenty of memorable moments.
I know right? It's really annoying me how people treat that game. And it makes sense why it is made action heavy since they already made a horror heavy version of the same concept that is RE2R. RE3R have the best replayibility amongst all (we may exclude RE4R) and the boss battles were pretty much all excellent.
Being honest, RE7 is one of my favourite games ever. It was an amazing way to revive the series after 6. It has great DLCS, great gameplay, story and the bakers are some of my favourite villains ever. Evelin was ok as a villain But the one thing that drags it down for me is that boat section, god that part is unbearable. Every time I replay the game I dread having to do it
yeah out of the re games i have played i like 7 the most, i have played re2 remake, 7, 8, and re4 vr. I know i haven't played a lot of them but i have loved all of them.
I gotta say 6 is on my mind as they are on their path to remaking the series. What do they do after 4 now? Do they bother to remake 5 and 6 or, and this is what I prefer, do a hard reset after 4 and just remake the entire story from scratch with a brand new 5 that was nothing like the game we got. Was not a fan of the story post 4. I would love to see a RE5 re-imagined with the focus more on an RE2 remake style actual survival horror game instead of action adventure.
I think all these modern ones are actually pretty good. I know RE3 gets some hate, but it was a fun game. Capcom has been really delivering with this franchise!
As a new comer to the series, the RE2 remake was such a great game imo, it had a very 90s-esque style to it, a rookie cop fighting his way out of a police station, conserving ammo, solving puzzles and investigating what caused this virus. Really glad I gave it a go bc it’s one of the best games I’ve played in a while. RE3 felt more like a DLC to me, it explained bits and pieces leading up to the events of RE2 but fell short and lacklustre, can’t complain too much tho bc I did only pay $12 for it lmao. RE4, behemoth of a fucking game, Nailed everything for me, amped up everything on steroids, nice change of pace from the traditional generic zombie virus as well. Fighting cultists while trying to save the presidents daughter is the most 2000s thriller shit ever. And there’s not too many games where you can shoot an old lady in the knees, powerbomb her through a barrel and then light her on fire while fighting possessed knights in armour, and parry chainsaws with a knife. I know that a lot of people still love the originals but as someone relatively new to the games, specifically the remakes, I find them incredible.
Dude you’re spot on, the new ones, especially RE4 is amazing. I love the original and still remember being blown away by it bc before that the games were strictly tank controls and shitty camera angles. I still love the early games re, re2, re3, cv (aka true re3 to me) but the angles although they added to the tension were also just frustrating. So when RE 4 it was revolutionary at the time and the action/horror combo was crazy (lol still remember Leon getting his noggin chopped off in first village fight by chainsaw guy and my jaw dropping. I replayed the remaster a couple years prior to the remaster and as good as it is it paled in comparison to the remake which took everything great and improved on it
Most of the criticism of Resident Evil 3 remake is also a criticism of the orginal. It's a fan favorite but if you look up old gaming magazine reviews they said some of the same exact thing verbatim. There's quite a number of late PS1 games that only exist (or are mainline games) because the next gen sequel wasn't ready to be released yet. Resident Evil 3,Final Fantasy IX,Syphon Filter 3,Tomb Raider Chronicles etc
I´m currently playing RE 3 nemesis for the first time and, while not as good as 2 it´s still good. I love how you explore more of the city, how things change depending on your choices with Nemesis or where you went to first. Capcon could have take it to a new level but they did the bare minimum, it´s not only short but the replay value is pretty much gone
Yeah, I remember that Nemesis himself was quite the attraction back then, but the game was a bit short and felt more like an expansion pack (remember when we got those?) to RE2. I feel similar about the remakes, RE3R feels very much like a more action-focused expansion to RE2R with a more martially skilled protagonist. Imo still a great game that is a lot of fun. If anything, the runt of the litter of modern RE games, for me, is clearly Village.
I feel like I am the only one who hated Village. It was so hokey. RE7 brought back the horror, Village just made it a cheesy action adventure game again. And the story was just stupid imo.
5. RE3 4. VILLAGE 3. RE7 2. RE2 1. RE4 As someone whose first RE experience was the original RE3 nemesis was always the scariest thing to me. He was neutered in the remake and it cut a lot out but I still had a great time The other 4 are all perfect to me. I may just be on the high but RE4 is everything I wanted and was my favorite game of all time when the original came out. That why it edged 2 in my opinion. 7 and 8 are awesome. 7 brought back the survival horror and the new age games story is great.
Re4 remake is straight fire son!! God damn it just SLAPS SO FUCKING HARD!! It’s scary but you also feel like a badass at the same time, it’s fucking phenomenal
Im happy with the list! But I just want to say playing RE7 in full VR was probably the most unique and unnerving gaming experiences I’ve ever had! It really deserves the reverence, apart from rejuvenating the series.
RE4 remake is the best game I’ve ever played or top 4 depending on my mood: was blown away by it . Amazing fun. I only played resident evil 2 though as far as I’m there RE games.
I honestly can't decide between Village and 7. 7's downsides: 1. The Mold sucks and takes me out of the horror because it reminds of 5 2. Mia's free-flowing seaweed hair, completely takes me out of the experience 3. Chris Whereas Village takes a nosedive once you hit Heisenberg and completely removes any sense of horror in favor of a huge step back to 6's T-rex fight. Then the entire end scene with Rose is the cringiest thing I've endured in Resident Evil since the way they dubbed RE1
RE 2 has been my favorite since it came out but RE 4 might take the cake now since there is just so much game to it and the original RE 4 was my favorite until RE 2 remake came out. RE Village was pretty good as it reminded me of the original RE 4. Re 3 was good but way too short and needed way more open world areas. The fact that there was only the one area was disappointing but I still had fun the entire time just needed more. Never played RE 7 past the demo as the full horror haunted house type game didn't really interest me.
@@Lior__plays nah, the original re2 is a favorite by so many. The remake has so much cut content and so many story issues with its scenarios it's weird. I'm saying this as someone that says Re4 remake is just superior than the og even though og leon is my favorite. It's the best remake as well as being overall better than the original, added content, exploration that original re had, game play is better and probably my favorite re as of now. If re2 remake had the re4 remake treatment, then it'd be leagues better but it didn't. It's still amazing and the 2nd/3rd best remake with re1 but the og had so much more and It had more replay value to me. Saying an opinion as facts is crazy. You're just coming off as someone that hasn't completed the originals and have the equivalent of nostalgia clouding judgement by thinking everything new is better.
Really great list. I personally think RE7 is the best of the franchise with RE4 being very close. RE2 peaks early. Once out of the police station the game declines. The sewer section and ada/sherry side missions suck especially on replay. RE8 has fallen to my least favourite largely due to what you pointed out. The last act from the Heisenberg fight onwards (especially the Chris sequence) really drops the replay value for me.
I would probably put re2 above re4 but Love them all equally. I can't believe the wining streak Capcom has had. I just pray that they don't go the action route again like they did with re 5 and 6.
The complaints that RE3 reuses the police station from RE2 is so bizarre. Would people rather have the police station having undergone renovations during a zombie apocalypse??
Re 7 may not be like the rest of the series but if your just looking for a sheer horror game to make yourself terrified and uncomfortable it is ine of the best horror games of the decade
I like the list, especially the explanations. You really gave each title their due respect and I appreciate that. I personally put re2 over re4 though. The reason is exactly what you explained in your take. It’s the simplicity of it. Before the series got “crazy” and “Hollywood” like. Re4 is absolutely phenomenal. Did not disappoint in anyway shape or form. But re2 gives us survival horror in its purist form. With a feeling of realism like no other. I could go on but I won’t lol Thanks for the video.
I agree. RE2 is not just my favorite game the franchise but favorite game of all time. If they added a randomized mode for the ps4 I’d probably play it non stop.
See, I have to rank Separate Ways separately from the main game for RE4 because I agree that RE2 is above RE4. But Separate Ways is a whole different experience.
@@TekPlayzGames right! SW is solid as hell ain’t it?! They made RE4 feel like RE2 with the fact that it now has 2 stellar stories play. Because lets be honest, the original didn’t hit like the new one does. I’m sure most would agree with that. The whole RE4 remade experience has solidified itself as my number 2 RE. RE2 still holds on to number 1 by a much smaller margin now, I will admit.
RE3 was all right, but if I could go back in time I would NOT pay full price. I was very surprised to see that cut content missing, and I was hoping the linearity would be reduced a bit but... well, it felt a bit lackluster. Still an okay game and I would reccommend it! But on sale. Possibly a deep sale.
@Yannis Spirou I disagree. RE3 Remake is a fun game, but a terrible Remake. It's definitely worse than RE7 and RE8. The boss fights in RE3 Remake are terrible. Nemesis in RE3 Remake was a mess
@@yannispirou101 Yea bro. RE3 Remake could have been the best RE game, but it was a mess... The cut content is crazy in RE3 Remake. We have probably the worst Remake in the gaming history
One thing I hate about the winter’s games is how unsatisfying shooting is. In all the other games the guns have kick, sound louder and enemies react to being shot. In village and 7 the feedback when shooting is very minimal
re 4 was capcom's crown jewel. i can only imagine the pressure the developers felt when theyre remaking it.. so fcking glad they nailed it. hands down cemented my Steam Deck as one of the best things I ever bought 😂😂😂
Very good list. I disagree with you on Re7 and Re8 though. Re7 is great but the first half of the game is 100% better than the second half. It holds it back so much and you didn't mention it which is odd. Re8 is great throughout the entire game. Also the chris section in 8 is great imo. You go from a ethan who is not prepared and has no supplies to chris who has been doing this for years and has a bunch of resources
Resident Evil 2 remake was the first time I dipped my toes into the horror series and I've loved it ever since! 1)RE2 remake 2)RE4 remake 3)RE Village 4) RE3 Remake 5)RE7 In my humble opinion
I’ve only played the RE4R demo but plan to buy as soon as price drops to £50. Looks awesome from all the reviews I’ve seen. From what I have played so far, RE2R is my fave, then RE3R, RE8. Special mention to first RE remake which is a masterpiece like RE2R.
I did pick it up on Amazon UK for £49.95 mid-April. It was probably available pre-order for £50 on Amazon but on the official day of release I seem to recall it being closer to £60 on Amazon UK. I didn’t bother to wait for Separate Ways DLC to go down in price though, purchased that straight away for £8 on PS store and absolutely love it! 🙂@@logiclunacy606
just so we're clear... RE3 is a MUST PLAY. Yes it's short, but it's a MUST PLAY. Like you MUST PLAY it. Don't listen to the haters. I immediately beat it twice because you get some sweet unlocks. Super fun game.
I liked RE3 for the simple reason that it was short and it was linear. It felt like the perfect companion piece to RE2 remake's bigger and more methodical framework. I think that's exactly what they were aiming for, it's just a shame people either didn't like it or straight up didn't get that. In terms of my favourite, while I'm loving RE4's balls to the walls action, I still think RE2 is more interesting and iconic. It's the definitive Resident Evil imo.
Yeah homie is wild for saying he would rather play re3make over the original 😂. But then again he might be young. So I can’t judge. Re3 has way more replay value then the remake
I was half expecting to disagree with this video in every way but nah this listing is pretty accurate aside from the fact I don’t have much experience with the originals, but I hated being unable to move while shooting.
i would disagree hihi, the ranking should be 1.. RE4 remake 2.. RE2 remake 3.. RE Village 4.. RE 7 5.. RE3 remake RE4 is definitely the best of these new entries no way anyone picking 2 over this... Village is better than 7 because its the most overall package, from start to finish its that good, 7 was really good but agree that it felt off at the later part..
They should have done Resident Evil 3 Nemesis just like the same masterpiece designs, gameplay and plot along with Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 4 Remake
Kind of an unpopular opinion but I honestly didn't like RE Village. I mostly thought lady D and the Lycans were just an excuse to add Vampires and Werewolves into the game series because the developers couldn't come up with anything more original. I also thought the fps gameplay and such just felt like a way to make the game more "modern". Sometimes the best option for a game series is to stop making more games otherwise you're just making bad games.
even doe this comment from a year ago I feel like this is 5000% incredibly wrong cuz I’ve never played the original re4 game and coming from 100% re2 and re3 re4 is my absolute objective favorite game out of the bunch and one of my most in general
I get why people love re7 but imo it relies way too much on being scary. I think re8 and re4 remake are the perfect re games when it comes to scariness but also story and gameplay. I’d place re8 over re7.
I also agree with your thoughts pertaining to Resident Evil 4. The remake blows the original game out of the water, but I would have put Village higher up on the list. I really like Village. It’s like RE4, but in first person.
Funny how there is some video and comments where ppl saying that Re4 remake is worse then og cuz u know, characters are better in og, and gameplay mechanics are worse cuz enemies do not act like targets on shooting range and not move like turtles, like they dont like how enemies are acting in remake cuz you know they are more aggressiv and can go to you from every direction, so i bet they liked when they were more stiff and that you couldn't move while shooting, i bet they just dont like modernised mechanics, jeez
@@FIREDAN075 RE fans are some of the worst when it comes to opinions. For example, you're not an RE fan unless you like tank controls and fixed camera angles. I've seen mods that that transform RE4 into a fixed camera angle game simply because these fans miss that era. I understand nostalgia motivates their opinions significantly, but RE4R is an objectively superior game.
I’d say our lists are both pretty much the same, I just might’ve switched RE3 and Village and possibly RE7 and RE2. Still need to replay through Village and RE3 though.
RE7 and rE2 remake scared the absolute crap out of me. We don’t talk about RE3 remake village was okay and RE4 was scary at times but for the most part it was run loot and shoot. When I say that I don’t mean it in a bad way whatsoever. RE4 OG was my first RE game when I was like 6 and despite being scared shitless I loved it. I’ve beaten the original at least 100 times and I’ve platinumed the remake 3 times already
1. RE4- it does everything from the original better imo but it also doesn’t lose its identity with the one liners and campiness. It’s super fun, entertaining, challenging. This game is great. 2. RE2- Much of the same as RE4. This game is great from top to bottom. 3. RE7- This game is amazing. It has everything that is a staple to Resident Evil. Outside of the new characters and change in perspective, I can’t see why any RE fan would not like this game. It’s more RE than RE4, RE5, and RE6 and RE8 in terms of being survival horror. Some may say it’s too scary and I can see that but it does have some o that classic RE cheese especially towards the end. I don’t like the lack of enemy variety tho. That’s a big issue for me. Also it loses steam big time by the end of it. And I don’t like Chris’ redesign lol. 4. RE8- this game is a fun ride and I absolutely love it. Good gameplay, fun wacky characters, great locations. But there’s some gameplay issues I have. Lack of inventory management I did not like. There is ammo for days. Not enough combat encounters to justify the large inventory size. The story is a bit of a mess and some revelations(haha) did not sit well with me. Still great fun. 5. RE3- This one isn’t too bad imo but man the cuts sting a lot because well as was said in the video, it’s not replaced with anything. It’s just gone. It’s a neutered experience compared to the original. Nemesis is kind of a joke imo and very absent a lot. He really should have been a more present threat.
I have the same ranking, but I'd flip the top two. After getting every platinum and putting over 100 hours into both games, in the end I'm still picking RE2 remake over RE4. I just prefer the original trilogy vibe. Racoon City, Umbrella, and zombies. That will always be RE to me. I love 4, but the global storylines and switch to a higher ratio of action over horror will always hold it and the sequels from that era back for me. 2 and 4 are both 10/10 games to me, but for different reasons. Love them.
I feel like the thing that makes re7 bio so fucking good is the fact that they show the baker family through the parasite or whatever it is and they are honestly such good people they don’t even want to hurt anybody they are just being controlled they would rather fucking die then keep going but are forced too that’s what makes the baker family so remembered they were a normal ass family devastated by the umbrella Corp and was forced to bid to Evelyn boor jack man 😭😭😭😭😭
Awesome vid mate! In a friendly joking way, I will say that I already knew your order before starting. For some reason it is “” the social fanboy norm of order. Re4 has to be the goat because it’s what “everyone” wants. And 3 well it’s the reject child if 6 isn’t a factor. Lol but joking aside your vid was awesome because you didn’t degrade any of them per say. But showcased their strengths. I’m literally on my 4 play thru of village and absolutely love it. I started back on re1 on ps1 so it’s def different but in a good way. Thanks again for the vid
RE4 Remake was the first RE I ever played, and now my favorite game ever (besides maybe Dead Space Remake). It definitely deserves all the high praises
@@hailakmal4683 Naahh resident evil 4 original you have more weapons expropriation, horror, more boss fighter, more character on enemies. Resident evil 4 remake is definitely just run and shoot non stop
I don't know, I didn't really enjoy replaying the RE4 remake, and I don't think RE4 was ever a great or even scary RE game... so my ranking would be: 1. RE7 + DLC 2. RE2 Remake 3. RE8 + DLC 4. RE4 Remake 5. RE3 Remake
I have to agree. My favorite part of RE games is the "survival" aspect. In my opinion the remakes of 1 and 2 as well as Village are the three games that nail that aspect. Sure, Village's type of surviving is more action focused but both take skill, both are fun to overcome, and both are valid ways to tackle it. Village does the "survival" in survival horror well and I think only RE1&2 top it in that aspect. It's a phenomenal game.
@@TekPlayzGamesi don't agree with your take on what makes a game a survival horror but i do like village more than re7, the re2 remake is good example of survival horror
I would say RE2 should get the top spot because of replay ability. I mean the fact it had basically 4 different playthroughs! Village was worst for me simply it had too many crazy enemies. This was suppose to be a zombie game.
RE is never really just “a zombie game” though, more “a gross mutation game.” Giant snakes & bugs, tyrants, sentient mounds of flesh, lickers, hunters- those are all from the original trilogy, and I don’t think the lycans were too far off from them. Village also has a lot of replayability because of the secret rooms and hidden treasures! I definitely didn’t get them all my first or even fifth playthrough.
My Personal List: RE7 RE2R RE4R RE8 RE3R 7 was my introduction and me being younger, I didn't see the older games through rose tinted glasses or have that bias at least. That means that I wouldn't like the remake or count off the remake for things it either lived up to or didn't live up to because I didn't play those versions. 7 was everything I wanted a horror survival game to be (minus the Mia section) and is easily re-playable. Something about that game scares me the most and is the game that saved the franchise (even if its going back down the action rabbit hole). Although it is close with RE2R as that games is arguably more re-playable. It loved both the protagonists and MrX had me hooked.
Interesting. I agree with your ranking here 100%. I didn't think ranking 7 above 8 was at all a "hot take," as you say, in the fandom. It's certainly scarier because Ethan feels much more powerless in it, and the smaller scale of the setting really adds to the claustrophobic, creepy feeling. I still am terrified of Jack to this day! I like how you're not a nostalgia goon like so many people start to become at around age 30. I'm so sick of hearing claims about how the music/movies/games/etc. were all "better when we were kids" as if that's an objective fact across the board. It's not always true, and if a new game, or a remaster/reworking of an old game, ends up being the superior experience, I don't let my nostalgia goggles get in the way of that. I have played several remakes this year: Super Mario RPG, Dead Space, Resident Evil 4, and System Shock. And as a veteran gamer and long-time fan of all those titles, I can enthusiastically say that the new versions of each of them are without question the definitive versions. I won't go back to playing the prior builds.
What is an actual hot take it seems is i didn't like 7. Only "main" resident evil games i haven't played is veronica and village, debating on getting village in the steam sale but it looks similar to 7 so not sure.
Hot take, I have loved all the Resi Remakes and VII and VIII and fantastic… but… going back I had an over all better time with Days Gone looking back. After getting a LG OLED and starting the game again on PS5, I don’t remember the game being so good back when it came out. They must of ironed out ALL the bugs, it feels like an entirely different game. As nostalgically sublime the remakes have been(especially RE4) going back to Days Gone I can clearly see zombie survival games or at least Days Gone and arguably Dying Light have moved past and bettered their predecessors.
Resident evil1 remake still is my favourite remake.with good story good characters good graphics and complete game and without of any danger like new vr resident evils
My list goes: 1 - Re 4 Remake. It's the best remake in terms of keeping the original intact and improving in some aspects like lore and characters. 2 - Re 2 Remake. I absolutely love this game, the only gripe is the cut content and inconsistencies between A and B scenarios. But imo this has the smoothiest gameplay of the newer ones (even including re 4 remake), and I just love speedrunning this game. Must have played some 20 times and still play it. 3 - Re 7, the rebirth of Resident Evil. This game is probably the most important game in the franchise given the state that it was after re6. The hprror is top-notch (re 7 and re1 are the best at survivor horror imo) and the story is very good. 4 - Re 8. I'm not the biggest fan of this game due to some aspects of the story that didn't appeal to me, but the gameplay is really good and overall is a very fun game. 5 - Re 3 Remake, the butchered one. This game had the potential to be the best Re ever made (Og re 3 is still one of my favorite re of all). This game is still good as its own, but as a remake this is terribly done. I really liked Carlos in this one, but what they did to Nemesis is unforgivable I finished watching the video after this comment, so I'm surprised my list is the same as yours lol
The remakes for RE4 & RE2 are how to do a game remake the right way.

@@NeutralGloomBot Code Veronica, Outbreak 1 & 2, they need a remake.
I feel the same. I've never felt dread and fear like this game, it was incredibly well done. Hard to top that game
i haven’t played the game in literal years cuz i just remember the boat section so i don’t touch it
I think all these modern ones are actually pretty good. I know RE3 gets some hate, but it was a fun game. Capcom has been really delivering with this franchise!
Yeah while I would have preferred a more accurate to the original RE3 remake, the game we got was still fun, albeit really short.
@@NeutralGloomBotshould have been dlc
@@NeutralGloomBot Definitely, in my opinion RE3 remake is a good game but just not a good remake

@@motchnessI’ve been planning on getting the vr headset to play 7 and re4 remake specifically. Lol I feel 7 will give me a heart attack
I replayed the remaster a couple years prior to the remaster and as good as it is it paled in comparison to the remake which took everything great and improved on it
Resident Evil 7 was my introduction to the series and man its awesome

Same i end up watching or playing it as a Ritual every Winter and i love the memorys i have with this Game nothing more than Peak
I honestly can’t rate them aside from RE4 Remake being #1 and 3 being last. 2, 7 and Village were all incredible experiences for me.

@@clumsycaden5708 yeah true, but i love Ethan in this game so much more and the gameplay itself is a lot of fun

7's downsides:
1. The Mold sucks and takes me out of the horror because it reminds of 5
2. Mia's free-flowing seaweed hair, completely takes me out of the experience
3. Chris
Whereas Village takes a nosedive once you hit Heisenberg and completely removes any sense of horror in favor of a huge step back to 6's T-rex fight. Then the entire end scene with Rose is the cringiest thing I've endured in Resident Evil since the way they dubbed RE1
play them in vr and have them blow you the frick away all over again
What
Village was my best 5 gen console experience
RE 2 has been my favorite since it came out but RE 4 might take the cake now since there is just so much game to it and the original RE 4 was my favorite until RE 2 remake came out.
RE Village was pretty good as it reminded me of the original RE 4. Re 3 was good but way too short and needed way more open world areas. The fact that there was only the one area was disappointing but I still had fun the entire time just needed more. Never played RE 7 past the demo as the full horror haunted house type game didn't really interest me.
You should definitely play 7 if it is on sale and you have some extra money, it is my favorite re of all time.
The original RE2 will forever be one of my all time favorite games.

9:28 honestly was not expecting that
I would probably put re2 above re4 but Love them all equally. I can't believe the wining streak Capcom has had. I just pray that they don't go the action route again like they did with re 5 and 6.
My list goes
-RE3R
-RE8
-RE2R
-RE4R
-RE7
This goes as my favorite but if I had to choose the most well done in general I’d switch re7 with re4r
The complaints that RE3 reuses the police station from RE2 is so bizarre. Would people rather have the police station having undergone renovations during a zombie apocalypse??
Idk maybe a new area at the least? Im sure thats the least of peoples concerns when it comes to re 3 remake bro...
I could go on but I won’t lol

Re3 remake is really fun still ngl
I have the same ranking, but I'd flip the top two. After getting every platinum and putting over 100 hours into both games, in the end I'm still picking RE2 remake over RE4. I just prefer the original trilogy vibe. Racoon City, Umbrella, and zombies. That will always be RE to me. I love 4, but the global storylines and switch to a higher ratio of action over horror will always hold it and the sequels from that era back for me. 2 and 4 are both 10/10 games to me, but for different reasons. Love them.
You could put every game after RE3 remake in any order, and the list would always be good because all 4 of those games are amazing.
All i want is Resident Evil 1 Remake now

Something about that game scares me the most and is the game that saved the franchise (even if its going back down the action rabbit hole). Although it is close with RE2R as that games is arguably more re-playable. It loved both the protagonists and MrX had me hooked.

my ranking worst to best
1.RE3
2.VIIlage
3.RE2
4.RE7
5.RE4
It's a great game... I just wish the dialogue and story were stronger.
I actively dislike spending time in the main character's company. Not good
Re4 is not only my favorite re game, but one of the best games of all time, (both the remake and og)
Resident evil1 remake still is my favourite remake.with good story good characters good graphics and complete game and without of any danger like new vr resident evils
Agree with your list 100%
My list goes:
1 - Re 4 Remake.
I really liked Carlos in this one, but what they did to Nemesis is unforgivable
I finished watching the video after this comment, so I'm surprised my list is the same as yours lol
