    Considering visiting Nicaragua and staying around San Juan del Sur with my family and friends next February 2024.
    Some friends of mine are concerned about traveling with young kids. Please advice, what shall I read/watch to know about safety, political stability, health aspects/hospitals, renting cars and ordering architectural tours to Grenada and other cities.
    Moreover, I would be interested in potential possibilities in retirement in Nicaragua,laws, tax benefits, etc. for the US and Canada citizens.
    Thank you for any information

    Awesome video! Brings back memories. Cannot wait to go there again! Is it true that most of the bars and restaurants are owned by expats? Noticed many Canadian flags.

    • @nicaraguabienesraices

      Quite a few owned and operated by expats, and yes lots of Canadian flags, which makes me smile and wonder why?

    Paul, great video as usual. You're a great cicerone and your comments are always well spoken. Question, I see lots a Canadian 🇨🇦 flags. Is it because of the Expats population? SJDS seems a paradise.

    • @nicaraguabienesraices
      @nicaraguabienesraices  Год назад +2

      It seeems as a paradise but too many people with similar backgrounds, I love small expat community so we can learn from our community the quality of life, SJDS in turn is becoming too North American and expensive, we are seeing the impact and some expats are being pushed out do ths cost of living, traffic and other things such as gossip lol

    Really enjoyed your video. San Juan del Sur reminds me a little of Zihuatanejo, Mexico. I'm considering my options for retirement, and Nicaragua is definitely on my radar. As this video is fairly current, can you tell me an average price for a 1 bedroom apartment, doesn't have to be beachfront, and also the cost to rent a small house? Thanks for any help you can give me.

    • @nicaraguabienesraices
      @nicaraguabienesraices  Год назад +2

      Cost in sjds has gone up due to surge of Expats. Also depends on time when you start. Snowbirds come Sept to April so reserve early
      Drop me an email and we can help daemenp@gmail.com
      Cost probably usd500 again location will also drive price.
