Get a giant metal mute!!! And a less expensive practice violin so the metal mute doesn't scratch up the violin's bridge. You can then practice into the night and have a bedside violin for these moments....

This is a outstanding version of this outmost difficult Caprice. There are not many who can show this level of technic, but also interpretation. My full respect !!!

Lustrous, luscious, longing lament - distant and covered in shadow, love how he lightens it up emotionally in some sections, love the full shadow silhouettes, love the lighting, angles and close ups, love the tux with tails (see Caprice 17 for a 'real' tail :) ...) this is absolutely breathtaking and leaves me awed and in a puddle - this man is simply a wonder...

By far one of my favorite Paganini caprices-- lyrical and softly lamenting at some parts, light and sentimental at others. Two beautiful examples are at 3:57 and 1:20.
