It's my favorite season of the show. A lot of the basic game gets developed even more than you talk about. Every single person is memorable and is just a fun adventure and survival show.
Watched it in elementary school. Teachers ran a pool every week on who would get voted out. We talked about it in class all the time. Teacher eventually made a board in the corner where we could put our predictions for who would win overall and who would get voted out, updating each week. It was just one of those shows that everyone watched, which doesn't really happen anymore. Game of Thrones was almost at the same level.
Jeff didn’t really start getting into his host role until after season 5 the first 5 season Jeff seemed like he was still trying to figure out how to do this host thing
I actually just started rewatching every season from the start, and I finished Borneo about a week ago and now I am nearly finished with Australian Outback. Borneo is one of the better old school seasons as it started it all, and the original cast is pretty perfect for their first season. Rich, Rudy, Sue, and Kelly might be the most memorable Final 4 in Survivor history. This is the one season where one tribe dominating doesn't bother me, and that is probably because there was still intrigue for people watching and wondering if the Tagi 4 would actually pull it off, and that's how the show was edited. I don't think that would work now obviously, and I would probably give Borneo a Middle Ranking but we will see as we go through the seasons!
My grandma’s favorite shows were Survivor and eventually, anything with Guy Fieri in it. Very weird how the very first episode aired May 31st, 2000 and she died May 31, 2015.
I know this is 9 months old but, the reward with watching the first 5 minutes of the season was a panic addition. After giving away a car in the previous reward the next reward was just some beer. the contestants thought that it was unfair that the quality went down and refused to play. so they had to make a fake bar which was just where the production team was.
Joel was definitely ahead of the time, if they would’ve listen, this would’ve been a completely different season. So many classic characters of the show.
Buckle up everyone, this is the first of many retrospective videos! It's going to be a fun rude haha. What do you guys think of Survivor Borneo?

Good season, but ultimately it’s middle of the pack. Rich though is great.
Sonja Christopher passed away yesterday at age 87. The loss of a legend. RIP
This is an absolutely vital series to have for anyone who intends to watch a returnee season without knowing everybody on it. Please keep this going!
I’ve never seen this season before, but Gregs fake cry has to be one of the most iconic moments in survivor history

Tbh Greg's Fake Cry sounded so real, he could make an great acting career.
Looking forward to the rest of this series

Haha he was so awkward during the first episode
Thank you so much for this series!

Rewatching this, you find out why very quickly Rich won because of how he completely outsmarted everyone

Awesome video excited for the rest!
Watching this reminds me of *so* many challenges I wish they would bring back...

Greg is still one of my all-time favorite Survivors.
I love the variation in the music when Ramona is voted out

New video from my guy, Flynn.
Did you just say Borneo was a “Chinese Island”? You are perpetuating the stereotype of Americans being uneducated when it comes to world geography.
Not my favourite season (still top 5), but it’s arguably the best, Richard Hutch changed the game
Let’s go
Let’s go
