    I bought my first Clod in 1989, it cost me $245 from Tower Hobby(theyve been around a long time). Sold it a few years ago like an idiot. Live & learn, right?!
    You did an awesome job of blending the looks of the original with the new Super Clod.
    And I love the mods....very near the way I'm planning on building mine. Very nice.
    I'm saving the vid.

    Greetings... A tip from a custom RC painter to get those old decals to stick on the body shell correctly, you need to gently peel them backoff and buy some 3M brand spray adhesive.... Then you will spray them on the backside and let them dry... Then place them on the body shell and use a hair dryer and slowly heat the sticker up and press down firmly from center of the sticker outwards to all the edges..... They will adhere damn near perfectly... I usually add a clear coat on top of them to make sure they last for years to come... Hopefully that will help you out...

    Petition Tamiya to make everything original from their past even the original cloudbuster.

    Good job and good mods. It is nice to see some out of the BOX thinking. Most people get online and pay top dollar for parts that can easily be fabricated.

      Thanks for watching, and thanks for the great compliment. Agreed why pay top mods when you can do something similar for free or very little cost. 😊

    Can't wait for more on this truck!! I'm wondering how well the wheels would look if I bought super clod rims and use bleach to peel the chrome off and paint with white lacquer...

    Looks nice! I also tend to like the stock tires most of the after market tires are to hard and stiff... For your suspension you can try taking one of the springs off one of the shocks at all corners and adjust your single spring shocks preload to tune it should make the suspension softer but I don't know how soft your springs are so maybe one on each side may be to weak?

      Nice, I will try that!

    If the shocks have no oil in the seals get no lubricant so they will be extremely stiff. Put some very thin oil in and they will be much less stiff

    Have you lowered the body on yours? I've noticed that yours has a LOT better stance as compared to most guys without a chassis swap. Great looking Clod!!

      Wondering this too. It looks absolutely perfect stance and height etc

      Hey Brad,
      I installed ECX oil filled shocks, and installed a 21 turn motor. Runs amazing. :)

      I saw a video a while back that had to brushless motors on it. Another thing if I owned one I would like it to do a minimum of 20 mph.

    How do you lock the diff?

    • @asplenia
      @asplenia  4 года назад

      Hey Byron,
      Just remove the differential, clean the Grease out of it and fill it with hot glue. The benefits of this is if you don't like it, you can remove it.
      Thanks for watching.
      Asplenia.

      @@asplenia Asked above but is your body lowered at all? Has a nicer stance than most Clods I've seen

    • @asplenia
      @asplenia  4 года назад

      @@Blitz0065
      Hey Blitz,
      No it the body isn't lowered, but I did cut out the bottom of the plastic chassis for more suspension travel. This may cause for a lower stance.
      Thanks for watching!

      @@asplenia That's shocking (pun). I would have thought it was. Your Clod is literally what made me get one but now I'm obsessed with getting an "old school" stance HAHAHA
