    Great choice, I bought the Fitbit Sense in 2021 and it works just fine with no issues, I can't be without it.👍

    Hi there, when out running or cycling do you have to take your phone too? Or does it work away from phones for tracking fitness... thanks

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Год назад +1

      You do not need your phone with the Versa 4 for tracking purposes. It will find a GPS connection (can take 10-30 seconds) but once connected you are good to go. I personally take my phone for music as that is not on the device.

    did I miss a battery review? Sort of what I'm looking forward..
    Also how's the heart rate frequency if you don't mind sharing a bit more info? My charge doesn't catch up (or down) heart rate changes during my HIIT sessions

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Год назад

      For the battery, mine lasts 7 days if I don't use GPS. About 5 days if I do.
      In my workouts (both on the bike and on resistance training workouts) the heart rate updates for me. Is yours not changing at all? It should go up at least a little.

    Did they improve the GPS since you released this video?
    Is there no option to run the GPS through the phone like Charge 5?

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Год назад

      According to Fitbit, if you have your phone on you and connected via bluetooth, it will use the phone GPS over the onboard one. Might need to confirm that with Fitbit, but that's what I can find on it.

    Hey, versa 4, charge 5 or inspire 3 - I've previously had inspires but don't know if I should change it up.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Год назад

      I've never used the Inspire products, but if I had to pick one right now, the Versa 4. Charge 5 is right behind it though (for Fitbit products).

      @GamerBody thanks so much. I went with charge 5! All good for the most part... the sleep is a little inaccurate in that it sometimes logs the wake up time as the time you check the app... but size, colour screen, battery & activity tracking all good!

      Alexa, it tracks GPS (no visual map, but will show in the app after), and does have a card wallet (I use it at my local gas station all the time).

    Good you didn't go for the Versa3. It has a known stairs tracking issue that the support team pretends they don't know about but if you look online it's been going on for quite awhile.
    In short you walk a mile or two in the park which is relatively flat and somehow you have tracked 42 flights of stairs.

      Haha yeah I don't even bother with those stats in the Fitbit devices. I'm actually trying to turn off the auto-start exercises on the Versa 4 as it is annoying to me.

      @@GamerBody I just swapped to the Apple Watch due to the way Google crippled these releases. Also the apple watch does indeed have a better heart rate accuracy than this. The ultra gave me the battery I needed. I have used Fitbit since 2015 and sadly I am just tired of them crippling releases. My heart rate sensors on the Versa 1 are still better than all iterations after other than the versa 2. It really bums me out specially because I have so much data in the Fitbit app and eco system but it is clear Fitbit is going the way of the Dodo to power the Google devices as we move forward.
      Anywho I agree, great devices when they work, easy to understand dashboard and stats, but accuracy wise and support wise, meh.

    The Fitbit Versa 4 is lacking in so many ways. I've had mine for 2 days and am extremely disappointed. I want to love it, but I don't see that happening. For a $200 watch, I expect a flawless design. Shame on you Fitbit/Google.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Год назад +1

      What is lacking for you? For me it does everything (and more) than I need for my goals.

    • @mustafalang
      @mustafalang Год назад

      @GamerBody I have been playing with it, trying to learn the ins and outs. So I may have to update my opinion. I've only had it for a bout 2 days now. Bit one thing is the changing of the watch face. I feel like I should be able to do that without the app and straight from the watch. I know, nitt pick. The second thing is that I have not been able to get the gps/map to work with the watch. All in all, I think it's just an ok watch that costs too much. I'm going to give it about a week and see how I feel after that. I do, however, think that a Garmin would suit me better.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Год назад +2

      @@mustafalang Yeah you may need to check the settings on the GPS. For some things I have it turned off (walks) but it automatically activates for me on runs/bike riding, etc. There is a setting when you go to do that exercise where you can turn it on/off so just make sure you have it set right.
