Alexa instead of Google Assistant on a Google owned watch... Mind boggling. Google is clueless man.
All Fitness watches need to have a music feature as standard. People want to workout without having their phone nearby.
My biggest issue with Versa 4 so far is the music. It’s super annoying not being able to skip a song on your watch right before a lift 😤😩
Bluetooth has a 10m range and ear buds have skip forward,back, volume up and down, pause, noise reduction plus an answer call facility and voice assistant support. I don't see a problem.
I just got the versa 4 and im enjoying so far.
I just replaced my Versa 1 for a Versa 4. I’m not sure I’m happy with the upgrade because it doesn’t feel much like I’ve upgraded. Yes, there are some new features like additional exercises to choose from but, in my option, so what. I really only use about 5 different exercises. And is there really that much tracking differences between walking and treadmill. On the Versa 4 they took away the built in exercise videos (now you have to pay for them by signing up to Fitbit premium ) also you can no longer listen to music. Wrong! Now they have added GPS to the Versa 4 which is great. However, the Versa 4 battery is suppose to last 6 days but not if you are using some of the newest upgrades, like GPS, continuous screen on, extra bright screen etc. Hopefully Fitbit will listen to its consumer and bring back some the items the made Fitbit a great product.
Very impressed with this watch. I 'lived' for a few years with a BLAZE from Fitbit. But in terms of extra feedback on one's 'statistics and the longer battery capacity the Versa 4 is so much better. I have it now for a month but I am still discovering/learning features which I didn't know were there. Also, the design is slick and elegant. Good job.
Google has kneecapped the range in favour of the Pixel watch. Fitbit doesn't really give you any reason to upgrade from the Versa 3 or the Sense 1. A Garmin Venu Sq seems like a much better option with no metrics behind a paywall.

My opinion: I have a feeling Google is slowly phasing out Fitbit watches in-favor of the Google Pixel watch coming soon. It seems as if they're downgrading the Fitbit watches on purpose-almost to the point where they're useless.
I'll stick with my Fitbit Sense and suggest everyone else to do the same.
I love my charge 5. I will miss that segment if they dont keep it going!
Google will make Fitbits strictly fitness tracking and leave smart watch capability to the Pixel watch which is sad really. I cannot understand why Alexa is on a Google product.
They will be giving up the iOS market though if Google goes all-WearOS.

I just bought the 4 when it was on sale at Costco. At the price of $129 it was worth it. I did have a Garmin watch and I feel the look of this is less masculine which is nice even though the heart rate tracking can lag but I find this can happen with a lot of watches. I actually enjoy the phone call going direct to my phone.
These are on sale for black friday for $150 i think im going to get it. Seems like the best overwall watch that provides everything i need for a less price than other watches
The Pixel watch is only supposed to have a battery life of 18-24 hours, so I’d skip that one altogether. Next month, Costco will have the Versa 4 on sale for $80 off. I’m hoping that they will have a similar discount on the Sense 2.

Glad I passed on versa 4 and went with huawei watch fit 2 for 118
I had very good experience with Versa 2 (owned it for 3.5 years) and I hate Apple watch's short battery life. I ended up getting the Versa 4 for $150 and am very happy with it. I use the watch to track exercise and sleep, and to tell time. The Versa 4 is much faster and smoother than Versa 2 and I love the difference clock face. So far I'm very happy with it.
you know what's the cheapest smart watch with an accurate heart tracker? seems like huawei watch GT runner and apple are the only options but they're both like 300-400$ minimum
I'm considering getting the Fitbit Versa 4 if it goes on sale on Black Friday. I've used the Fitbit Luxe, and I noticed that even with the display at maximum brightness, it's challenging to read the screen outdoors to check the time, heart rate, and other data. Is the Fitbit Versa 4 brighter? I mean, Fitbit watches are designed for outdoor use, and it should work well outside during the day, even when it's cloudy or rainy. I had this issue at 3pm during the day with dark blue clouds and some daylight, but I couldn't read the Luxe's display like what the flick gives? wow. Edit: one last thing I believe I can turn off the onboard gps on the watch correct or no? Another question I don't have a pixel smartphone as my first smart watch and fitness since fitbit versa according you have has been downgraded a bit should i go for the pixel 2 watch or no? my uses is telling the time, counting steps, heart rate, and stress management and water proof and to actually be able to take it outside haha. This will be my first the Luxes I have is not mine to keep. It was a trial use only to test it out. So this will be my first and my first time having one. Never had one before.
Retuned mine and went back to my Versa 2, far more reliable. I don't need bells and whistles, I need a fitness watch that tracks my daily run without glitches, Versa 4 didn't do that
Problem with the Pixel watch is it’s WearOS which is incompatible with iOS. It only works with Android.

I paid $129 for mine on sale. it's worth that price.
I bought one. Not tracking. Fitbit did send me a replacement. Guess what? Same problem. Fitbit took it back and never heard anything again. And they blocked the first one too, can’t even use it to read time. I don’t recommend.
Does the temperature sensor supported?
Sense or sense 2 or Versa 4? Please suggest

Versa 1 owner here, seems nothing much has changed.
Within the autumn they will add the phone call. So you can talk to the athor person with the watch. So it will be upgraded if you can just wait
Will we be able to talk on the watch for incoming and outgoing calls? I hear the versa 3 you can only talk on the watch when you receive a call, but when you make a call on watch the call goes directly to the phone and you cannot talk on watch when making a call.

Why do some large corporations think they can offer less and still sell their products puzzles me. Seem like instead of offering more better features Fitbit has regressed.... The technical officer and management should have a rethink and have a software update to address these issues highlighted by so many reviewers who dare share its flaws... 🤦♂️

oh bugger! I spent so much time deciding which fitbit I wanted and it was between the versa 3 and 4 in the end . I chose the versa 4 because it was the latest except for the sense 2 which I did not even consider eventhough it was a newer release but it was only on version 2. I am new to fitbit and was never a fan but always wanted a mid range exercise watch which I had the option to use as a "smart watch" Looks like I dudn't do my research propetly this time round! No music?! lack of third party support? I don't even use Alexa! I don't even like any of the free clock faces. Great that most of the exercises I have done or am doing are in the list of 40 and great to see that I can go for a swim with it on
Just as well I didn't have to pay for it too!!!! I think this will be my one and only fitbit - serious smart watch wearers own an Apple Samsung or other Android smartphone branded smart watch!
Maybe I should have just purchased a mini so exercise watch which looks just like the fitbit versa :( very disappointed - I didn't think it was that easy to set up either took far too long - upto 20 minutes or so - unacceptable!
Does the call/text option work for iphone? Or just android?
I am told call option should work with both but text option will only work with android.

The reason I got the fitbit was because first some reason the damn apple watch would pause the excercise. I had tried everything to remedy that but no. Apple had to put that effing feature for some reason for that sh** to go on. That was a deal breaker for me.

Don't use the bezel wallpaper it's very notable and you can see that big ass bezel I definitely it's bigger than any watch ever not the whole world but the other competitors in 2024

I don't care about the music support. I just use the watch for steps and heart rate.
Why do people care about music so bad? I never ever will go anywhere without my phone ... seems like an amazing watch
It’s an exercise watch. People like exercising to music. I jog with my phone on my upper arm, it’s a pain to remove it if I want to adjust music. It doesn’t make any sense to not have music controls on a watch meant to be used for exercise.
