Traxxas is going to sell a ton of body clips and parts. The thing is so top heavy that it constantly flips into the roof. The body clip mounts on the chassis are flimsy af and break easy. I’ve already cracked one. I love the slash. But the Maxx Slash is a disappointment across the board. It handles like crap on ground and in air
they need stronger plastic for those mounts. Great idea but they aren't going to hold up. the body portion should be a thinner spring clip type metal. it wouldn't break and would be light.
I had thought the same thing when I opened mine to put loctite on the grub screw "Holy cow! Look at the size of the pinion gear!" Sweet video my good sir!
agreed...its like saying ready to run but you still have to go make sure all the screws are tight and the shocks are working as shocks. (springs are actually working)
The funniest thing is Traxxas don't even sell the pinion gear to make it do the 70 mph they told Earl Moorhead to buy an aftermarket one to get his up to 70 That's b*******
Yah I don't about the Maxx slash it seems like with some work and changes it could be good but for 700$ I guess I just expected a better driving truck. Great video brother ima get some ceramic spray that's a good idea 💡
The Slash is pretty durable. It doesn't suck. That's about the best I can do. The Maxx is pretty tough. It's also fairly durable. The body will even stay on occasionally when it has one of its many inevitable crashes. This truck should be decently tough and the body will stay on occasionally when it has the many crashes. I'm positive a few die hard Traxxas fans won't even be disappointed they didn't buy a Mojave instead and that's OK. I'm sure it'll be a typical bland Traxxas that is pretty tough and great at nothing. At least that's how I feel about my Xmaxx and TRX.
I hate clipless bodies. More like self ejecting body. My Xmaxx insures I get plenty of exercise chasing it to put the body on after nearly every crash but my TRX 6 that's never gonna jump or crash has where clipless would work has body pins.
I can understand why you'd say that, and on some level I agree, But I actually like how mine drives. I don't know why really, I just do. It's rock steady at high speed which is good, turns are 50/50 if you'll pull a sweet slide or roll for 14 miles though, I admit that
True that. but I still hate those metal clips. I like the clipless design but they might want to revise it a bit. maybe a thing spring metal or stronger plastic. it broke too easy.

Appreciate it! hope yours is going well.
Such a nice change to see someone keeping it real. The split-o-vision is super cool.Nice job.Thanks.🤪👍
Glad you liked it! I was wondering if it would be good or distracting. I try to keep it real. thanks for the comments. I appreciate you
if you advertise 70+ mph it should come with required gearing for 70+ mph period at this point its just a selling point means nothing

Nice video but omg that truck handles like 💩 your not the only one with this issue .
its pretty bad. I think we can get it corrected but shouldn't have to out of the box.
I absolutely love the way mine handles I don’t know why people are complaining so much

yeah I wanted to buy the speed kit........and couldn't. this thing wont handle it without mods anyway.
I don't think traxxas comes with a very meaningful warrantee anymore either. Great tip with the ceramic coat 👍I need to try that.
I would have liked to see this come with the Raptor R body.
That would have been awesome
Agree. It'd be a better Raptor than the Raptor R is.
Everybody can't go clip less Traxxas will sue lol
Hahahaha. So true

can't argue this comment at all.
barely a minute in, subbed!
Awesome.. Appreciate it!
great video tyson....
Traxxas tough that's what I say because it's only a maxx chassis
I think it will be pretty tough. other than the body mounts with big bashing.

It is a traxxas brother… they break with ease haha
I think it will be ok other than the damn body system.

This thing is the yardstick to weed out traxxas-biased reviewers. It handles so objectively bad, even though a video.
No truck or car in real life has equal arm lengths.
I have one and I love the way it handles my brother has an xrt and a few others and as soon as he drove it he was sold

Clipless body sucks took me 20 minutes of jumping and it's so loose it rattles
That rear suspension....
both ends need work
Bet you wish you had metal clips holding body on now lol just saying
no but it def broke too easy. good catch on me saying i hate them and then breaking the clipless. lol
👍🏾💯
You need to run on 6s. It’s a dog on 4s
i did thankfully..
Now you got to spend more money fixing it lol just saying
