    I got my first ram cab and chassis 6.7 in 2009. I have had 14 cab and chassis from ram through the years. And have over 1.5 million miles combined on all of them, they do not break. We don't even service the trannys in them. I own a repo company and we beat the living shit out of them and they always make it back to the office at the end of there shift.

    the 2wd front end suspension looks funky, still a nice work truck with very low gear ratio! looks well built😍

    • @gunfreak565
      @gunfreak565 2 года назад

      It’s like that on the 4500/5500 purposely. It’s the exact same suspension as the 4x4. Same parts fit both trucks. Easier maintenance for end user fleets

    I like the truck that you built JB. You picked some great options for that truck and the options are all very useful ones. $81,000 isn't to bad for that large HD and if your going to use the truck for Hot Shot work or towing a heavy 5th wheel. Good eye finding that regular cab truck.

    The detuned Cummins in the 4500 and 5500 cab/chassis trucks doesn’t have a fucking thing to do with fuel economy. Holy crap!! The GVW on those trucks put them in a different category than 2500/3500 and they have a different emission standard.

    Can you do a video about idle time when starting up and cool down times? Would really appreciate it! Great video as always!

    These things will ride like jumping in the air landing stiff legged. I would put the Kelderman Air rid leveling system on them.

      The truck showed in this video is a truck that I ordered. After placing the order I realized a 14' bed would have my over 65' with the trailer that I ordered (10/38step deck). I order the exact truck 12' bed. Installed Keldermen suspension on front and rear. D- rating is HORRIBLE.

      When people say a 2500/3500 have the same frame, I witnessed different frames between the two. I may do a video on it if I find the two side by side 👍🏾

    At 3:56 it looked like the truck had all 6 aluminum wheels and not a steel inner wheel. Is that now standard with the aluminum wheel option? Or do I need to get a new prescription set of eye glasses?

    I'm pretty sure that's a truck that I spec ordered. Please let me know if you saw it at Acadian Dodge in Lafayette Louisiana. I found out after the 108" CA wouldn't work with the Daimond C step deck. So I ordered identical truck with 84" CA. The dealer chose to keep that order anyway.

    • @JB_WhoWork
      @JB_WhoWork  2 года назад

      Wow you have a great eye and yes this truck was in Lafayette lol! Thanks, I couldn’t remember dealer name so now I can add them to description 👍🏾

      Yeap. Across the hwy from the airport. The truck is pretty much loaded as much as you can get for a 2 door. The price went up $1,100.00 from order date to delivery date.

    • @JB_WhoWork
      @JB_WhoWork  2 года назад

      Yea I’ve heard this is normal practice although you would think pricing wouldn’t change so frequently 🤷‍♂️

    • @rouxdogee
      @rouxdogee 2 года назад

      To be fair to the dealer I should mention that they did honor the order price when I took delivery of the 84" CA.
      Thanks for your time that is consumed to be so knowledgeable about this trucks.

    Detuned is the biggest shame going..let's take power away from the people who NEED the power...it's designed to save company from covered warranty..it's NEVER TO HELP THE CUSTOMER

    my state NY only allows 26000 gvrw this truck is 19500 so u can only tow a 6500 lb trailer. legally with a NY license without a cdl. these trucks have 4.44s or 4.89s? so still feels wicked strong I dont think some state will honor your license if you are legal say in Tennessee over 26 you may not be in NY or pa or other states meaning if u crash and kill someone you may lose everything you own and end up in prison....bottom line GET A CDL if you tow over 26000 GVRW..now that these have the cp3 the rams r tanks...again just get that CDL or u may find yourself on the wrong side of the law with a steep fine

      If a trailer has a GVWR of 10,000 pound or less, it does not count towards the GCWR of 26,001 pounds. If the power unit is 26,001 or more, and trailer GVWR is 10,000 pound or less, a Class B would be required. If the power unit is 26,001 or more, and the trailer is 10,001 or higher a Class A is required (California has a power unit exception). For reference... dmv.ny.gov/brochure/cdl10sec01.pdf

    My point exactly..people will get 4x2 to save weight so they can load it on the back..same a bed deletes..to gain more towable weight but then you also lose horsepower because it's detuned...dumb..all about rams bottom end..not to help us
