    I’ve never heard of this but I love the description. The book that changed my life is Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins. This book just spoke to me in such a profound way. But based on your description I’m definitely excited to read this 💜 I love that idea of pushing to be better it sounds like a really good read ☺️

    Ah it's the best feeling when you read a book and it just RESONATES with the INNER PARTS of your SOUL. I experienced it with The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. I actually think that also covers a lot of the things you talked about in this video, so I think it's a book you would enjoy as well if you have not read it yet 😊

    This sounds alright! I am at that point where I don't want to be procrastinating life by reading self-help books in the hope something will be fixed once I finish the book. But this one sounds like one that could genuinely help a heap of people!
    The one that helped me the most, having said that, was 'your erroneous zones' by wayne dyer. It was one my therapist recommended to me, and I'm glad she did. I read it while i was going through the therapy journey with her (our therapy wasn't based around the book, but I grabbed it and read it as extra), and this turned out to be golden combo for me. I don't think it's a book that'll work for everyone, but it did for me. :)

  • @DanielJW247

    This video isn't weird at all, it's insightful, heart-warming and incredibly inspiring. I really mean it. And yes, I'm definitely gonna be reading this book in the next few years, to state it clearly.
    A little personal addition: The book that revived reading for me was Beyond Order - 12 More Rules For Life by Jordan B. Peterson. I have been interested in his thoughts and talks for month and finally decided to explore his newest book. It took me month to comprehend it (partly because the English is quite rich and extensive for a German teenager like me), but I finished it earlier this year. I don't agree with every single viewpoint of Jordan Peterson (not just related to the book) and found some passages to be rather exhausting to follow, but the sheer richness of intriguing thoughts and stories in this particular work is astonishing and has had quite a big impact on me (though I have to reread some chapters to fully understand everything completely).
    Right know there are so many books I want to read in the next few month and years, mostly works by Dostoevsky, Remarque and Lessing. I'm struggling to take enough time for reading every day, but I really wanna do this.

    • @inspiringsimple
      @inspiringsimple 2 года назад +1

      One thing I love about Jordan Peterson is he excites my mind to think. I am a critical thinker by nature but it has helped me to dive deeper into discovering myself and being OK with who I am. I think he inspires many people to open their eyes wide to life.

    I enjoyed watching this video. I'm watching this in a timely period of my life where I think I'm finally realizing I've been using avoidance as a coping strategy to not do the things I thought I would have done by now in my life. I'm slowly working through this, I'll check out the book but thanks for sharing your favorite quotes :)

    • @ArandaGrowing
