    My takeaways:
    1. Breath deeply and slow through your nose
    2. When you start to get sick (usually tickling throat is the first symptom):
    - do the Wim Hoff breathing exercise, it can help in preventing get sick
    - cold shower
    3. Morning routine tips:
    - lots of water
    - get out for 10 minute and get sunlight in da face
    - delay caffeine for 90 to 120 min; this is way caffeine can cause the crush later on the day if assumed too early
    4. If you feel bored, unstimulated, unfocused... a dopamine detox can reset your system

    This one thing changed my life I believe meditation should be a practice we all do on a daily basis to have more energy and feel relaxed, totally changed my life. I gave up on it like 7 times but once I really understood what worked for me it became so powerful. I got rid of anxiety, low energy, boosted my self esteem and confidence. Wish you all an amazing 2022

    • @GibranEscobell
      @GibranEscobell 2 года назад +11

      @@casio007 One thing I am certain of is, my meditation has more kick compared to the meditation you find on RUclips, i designed it myself after years of research and because it has that, I am sure everyone can benefit. It is not your typical sit down and think of nothing meditation. That meditation was not enough for me when I had severe anxiety .

    • @GibranEscobell
      @GibranEscobell 2 года назад +33

      @@TheNIKOLASRBIN I really hope you read this and also, stay away from external sources such as drugs, sex, excessive masturbation, those are things that are outside of our control and when you do not have access to it, you will go nuts when you need your chill pill. Meditation is easily available just craft your own meditation as I did, when I started writing the message above I was experiencing anxiety, I started walking and smiling, as I finish this second part my anxiety is already gone, make meditation an every day practice it is medicine. When meditating with my technique, endorphins take time to build up and give you the high, the longer you do it the more you feel it so do not expect instant feeling, the body needs time to release endorphins and relax and that takes a couple a minutes depending on how much stress anxiety is buildup. Walk while smiling everyday or laughing and just focus on that if your mind stsrtd to wonder just bring your attention gently back to smiling and the walking, do it before those situations that cause anxiety, you must keep your level of endorphins optimal throughout the day, if you are unable to walk, smile and focus just on smiling, on emergency situation do deep breathing but that only simulates walking or exercise it releases less endorphins in my opinion so it is better to actually move, as I write this comment I am walking and smiling/laughing, i feel 200% relaxed. Exercise and laughing have been proven to release the most endorphins naturally (leave sex/porn out), so make combinations of this, plus thinking positive. I guarantee after 1 hour of walking and laughing you will forget about your anxiety, but only focus on that, if you are dwelling on whats wrong while walking and smiling you will not experience the full benefits the more you focus on something the better you get at being more focused, that is the secret, you will become better and better the more you meditate. I walk while smile/laugh before and after sleeping , I am present by focusing on smiling and laughing, negative thought stop crossing my mind because my mind is busy thinking o smiling, meditation that release more endorphins work better for beginners looking for that high, that got me hooked after giving up for years.

    So many interesting points:
    - no dopamine = no motivation... explains why it's so hard for anyone with depression to pick themselves up.
    - working out without music. I'd never thought of this before, but my favourite exercise is swimming. All I do is swim and breathe, for me it's like meditation.

      ImLycan, I couldn’t help but to respond to your comment. Make your sales job your bitch. Great sales people require an enormous amount of training and this is why 20% of us earn 80% of the money. Try to find joy in your craft (selling), as opposed to your product. Once you’ve mastered quality sales techniques, you’ll be able to sell anything. My advice is to listen to your prospective customers, ask questions, and discover people’s needs so that when they buy from you, they feel good about their purchase, you earn your money, and everybody wins! Happy selling! I love sales!!!

    I have a had brain fog for nearly a year I think, and I just noticed something the reason why I have been having it is because of my problem with my nose, so basically last year I got a really dry nose and that really affected the amount of oxygen I can intake now, I think I take in 60% of what I used to with a single inhale from my nose, right after I got the dry nose (which I still have) my brain stopped functioning as it used to and I felt really tired and groggy, I have been feeling this everyday for a year now, it is really bad and causes me to lose concentration at school, anyways I just noticed now after taking deeper breaths through my nose, that my brain feels more awake after doing so, not sure why I thought this comment was a good idea to make but I guess I just want to show my appreciation to this video for allowing me to discover my problem, thanks for everyone’s time and enjoy the rest of your day

    I am one of the people who used alcohol to focus, now I am off of it, it was a month of hell but slowly and surely I am emerging. I am aware of the dopamine ect, I was surprised to hear that focused 90 min activity without interruption is great for the brain, I rhinestone for living so all I do is mega focus daily for many hours in very small area while placing tiny stones! I believe it trains me in patience and I am aware of my ability to focus sharply even in the end of the day.
    I will add the sunshine in the morning routine and also-----no INSTAGRAM and FB in the morning. I literally waste my time watching reels every day for an hour, I could be outside getting my battery charged!
    So many useful tips to have a better quality of life and frankly, its shocking how " simple" are these adjustments, we just have to DO IT.

    This is amazing content I love this! I think the fact that nearly all foods have sugar in it these days it's effecting our dopamine. Sugar is the most commonly used drug today. Consistently used by all everyday. Unless people actually eliminate sugar out of food. This also includes flour. Or any highly processed white powder or flour. I'm not just talking about obvious Sugars it's easy to get these out . But the hidden Sugars too it's in 80% of our foods. Maybe 10 years from now everyone will know that this is driving most of the problems in today's physical health and mental health and much more to it

    I love listening to you two. You bounce off each otters wonderfully. Other brain fog hacks that work well is the Wim Hof breathing method and sea swimming/cold showers. There is an instant feeling of anxiety relief, calm and relaxation. I often feel a smile cross my face too. An increase dopamine and serotonin levels can be expected here. Neuroscience is fascinating and so necessary for pleasure, sleep, and many daily functions. Thank you for sharing your new app. I always like to research new ways to rest, restore and renew to allow those neurons do do their thing. Happy Christmas 💖

      I can attest to the benefits of cold showers, being in cold or freezing water. Combine with deliberate, deep, steady-as-possible breathing, and alternate with very hot water a couple times back forth, and you stand a great chance at completely silencing the inner chatter. At least for me it works like this, if I give myself the chance by doing the above! Good luck in your healing journey, everyone! We who are about to LIVE and Love fully salute you!😀❤️🤘

    I've got a secret: I'm utterly hooked on the Huberman Lab podcasts. Too much dopamine indeed, for a neuroscience addict. Every episode unravels mind-blowing insights, connecting concepts like never before.
    Kudos to the School of Greatness for dishing out such mind-expanding content.
    And I don’t know why, but I'm quite convinced that Dr. Andrew Huberman isn't just an amazing teacher, but a genuinely kind soul too.
    Listening to you both for hours, what’s better, really.

It’s so amazing my son being able to switch from one language to the other. I made their life tough sometimes but I also think it was a gift I was giving to them, so I stuck with it. Amazing and useful info. Being a night owl, I've been trying and putting off waking up earlier.I want to enjoy my mornings before work!This is an inspiring reminder.You also reminded me of my studying routine at uni-I'd reward myself with a side on the casette of Bruce Springsteen and Alanis Morisette.These were my main motivations to study for hours:-D As far as neuroplasticity -learning new dance moves at 45 tends to be as frustrating as rewarding - there's nothing like being in sync with your fellow dancers, doing the moves you thought were impossible to learn the first time you tried. Thank you very much for additional motivation!Happy New Year!

    I just listened to this episode and I wanted to read again about the mourning routine part, when you guys talk about what you do on the days you do cardio - But I don't wanna listen to the entire podcast again. it would be great to have the entire transcript somewhere, be able to search the word (cardio) and re-read that part :)

    This was so insightful and rich on so many levels. Lewis, just want to let you know that I've recently been catching up with a good amount of your documentaries, Blogs you name it and from each one of them I'm able to extract some very good food for the brain and soul. I also have found myself making use of so many valuable lessons, knowledge and allowing myself to take on full in being proactive by applying the ones that will enhance my well-being. Now for this one that I just finish listening to was from a year ago yet it's so powerful regardless - Now to change the subject a little - how are you doing with your Spanish? Especially in the conversational part? I hope by now you've been rewarded with much improvement with the language --- sending good vibes your way until soon...

    I found that I am very sensitive post cancer to electricity in my surroundings and open phones. I call it electrical magnetic energy as you have a magnetic pad which we purchased for my horrible migraines and the magnets are off and rolled up only on my side and not on my husband's. For several years I got one to three hours of sleep until I covered the outlets around me and placed our phones if in the bedroom next to our bed they were in a tupperware container which helps tremendously. My husband CPAP kept changing its settings dropping it down to the lowest level (eight point difference) which caused him to struggle to breathe, as I am a light sleeper I woke him up he now struggles heart conditions from the incidents. I had bad brain fog like my head was numb for 8 hours and when I turned our bed from the direction of the electricity and put it in a corner I did not feel the electricity anymore my husband slept better. It is like a electrical warfare I believe attacking especially our bones muscles. I've had numerous muscle tears in both shoulders. My hips have been weakened as well as my heart and my lower back from the energies that I experienced. If I turn my body a different way from the outlet or the feel of the energies I am experiencing the pain sometimes will go away if I retract which tells me it's from the outlets or the electronical clock eye, as well as all our appliances microwave, oven, washing machine and dryer. If I sit in the dark and become my own investigator of my own house in the quiet your house will speak to you. Ask questions who, what, why, where, when. I found that when I ask questions I will always get an answer from my own Spirit guides. I noticed the same things happening in people around me as well as my husband that affect our health and attitudes to be more vulnerable in our health conditions, and more irritable in our moods.

      Mr Lewis Howes, at first this bananymous person that replied to my comment was using your photo, and now has changed it. Please be very careful. Also, I don't have a watsapp , myself, and I wonder if anyone could just create a watsapp account with any name and upload any photo. Be careful of any connection requests, people. Anything is possible these days, and almost everything is so evil, starting from our very own dining plates that contain tortured innocent, defenseless beings called ANIMALS.
