- Tired of typical boxy PC cases? Well we've found something for you, a PC case that's completely different from the ordinary and thinks outside the dox. This is the Cooler Master MasterFrame 700, a PC case that can change from a tower into a test station or whatever else you want without any concern over things like airflow.

That tempered glass could be swapped for a monitor which may look like an all-in-one PC.
Now that`s a very cool idea
Especially if you could rig up one of the new see-through OLEDs
Yes but the monitor eould probably heat up like crazy
I would put my C-Force 144 Hz portable monitor in that slot since its thin enough and would enable touch screen as well
That’s.... brilliant! Ha I can’t wait for mods with this.
-D.
"Unfortunately we have no holes for 140 mm fans." Umm... What about those oblong holes that look like they're 20mm from the 120mm fan holes?
vision 100
🤣
i was just searching for this comment
Also looked for this comment - sneaky slots snuck in with the design. Looks like 2x140mm possible
Absolutely! Those are indeed 280mm radiator mounts...
Me: "How much is it?"
Cooler Master: "Since you had to ask, you can't afford it".
It's all metal and heavy, eh..
Actually it is not bad at all at $200, the preorder starts on March 22nd on Amazon!
is acutally not to much :D
This is exactly the same concept as the Thermaltake Core P5, and that can also be wall-mounted or used in a test bench way. It isn't a new idea. I can believe it may be better quality than the P5 though.
@gearseekers did a great job helping with this :D
I was just thinking the same thing. It will be awesome to see. How different RUclips Tech Reviews. Do there own build from Gear ⚙ Sekers..
NZXT sponsors new CoolerMaster's case.
Promotion 100
Ha. Prebuilt vs custom built. ;)
I just bought a c700m but am using a nzxt cam controller with 4 140mm nzxt rgb fans. I also have the z73 AIO with three fans in a push configuration at the top . Temps are awesome.
😆
This looks really interesting. I'd love to see a full water cooled build in it, showing how you would manage the tubing.
Here's a suggestion - start calling these non-traditional open frame cases "Exclosures" (as in exo-skeleton) and see if it catches on!
Ohhh - “exclosures” is brilliant! Ha
-D.
Cooler Master is really stepping up their game and I'm here for it.
I recently built the PC of my dreams in a Cooler Master NR200 and it's absolutely my favorite case I've ever owned.
Why no full build inside the system?
Would be interesting how you get the cablemanagement
Sub to @Gear Seekers for an upcoming build video!
@@BCdesu That guy is bad video.
Once we get the non-prototype sample, absolutely. :)
No grommets on the cable holes will make it even harder to hide cables. Builders will need to get creative. I wonder how many cable tie mounts there are.
@@donkeysunited just sleeve your cables and make them part of the asthetic
That has a lovely industrial design, love how they've just accepted the need for the markings, and planned them neatly. The CPU cut out looks a little off for the motherboard you're using.
This is exactly what I had in my mind when thinking about fabbing and welding up my own case. Happy I don't have to do all that work now, I'll definitely be buying this.
Dear Dmitry and Eber, PLEASE do a video together!!! I know you've appeared together at events and stuff, but I don't think I've ever seen you two together sitting at a table discussing tech or something. It would be great if you could do something. LOVE THE CHANNEL AS ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A full custom water-cooling with matte black flexible tubing so you could still move the wings... so many great potential builds.
Coolermaster's tactic of "Sell less case and advertise it as a feature" seems to be working!
Lol it’s not your standard mid tower. What they are doing fills a very specific void in the space. I love it 🤟
-D.
Its got a certain type of charm to it, for sure!
Not much of a "black box" case, but a case for those looking to show off their rig.
Personally I like this style better than a Thermaltake P90
@@HardwareCanucks I'm literally holding up my entire rebuild for this exact case. I was thinking of welding and Fabbing up my own and then they annouced a much more polished version of what I was really looking for. I can't wait.
Nice to see that, instead of copying the Thermaltake P-series, they've put their own twist on it.
I love open-air cases and this is one that really looks appealing. Hopefully, it won't be overpriced. More videos like this would definitely be appreciated.
Not a bad test bench, large and lots of options. I look forward to seeing it finished, perhaps a dry bench option and fan holder.
Wow, like test bench it looks perfect!
Just got my nr400 yesterday coolermaster doing great work
I really do think this is a very cool concept standing alone from the standard enclosed boxed cases. I hope more Companies do come out with more open cases especially wall mountable. I do own 2x TT Core P5's and enjoyed them much on the wall. And I do enjoy finding users who mod them to help give me more possibilities of what I can do with my own P5's. That being said only negative I would have on this case is cable management I do hope Cooler Master does come up with a better solution, but as you mentioned I am excited to see what moder's will do with this build that may help persuade me to thinking differently.
THIS is exactly what I have been waiting for! I always leave my side panel off just to allow better airflow/cooling anyway.
You won't get any airflow with the side panels missing. Try putting holes in your vacuum hose and see what happens.
5:00 genius shot
I love this concept! An ITX version with dual 240/280mm wings would be incredible. My only gripe is the wings' ventilation holes, which look bad for airflow. I'd prefer more open area and a more consistent pattern. And I know it's open-air, but a second tg panel for the top would be cool. It doesn't need to cover the whole thing, just enough to protect from settling dust. Great video!
I believe that is the coolest case for 2021 so far.
Props to the folks at gear seekers.
That's a pretty gorgeous concept!
This does intrigue me quite a bit. Might have to keep an eye on the modding space in the coming years, this has a good bit of potential in there.
I absolutely love this. I will for sure buy this if they have it available for my new build this year.
Maybe you can rotate the wings backwards? So that the wings will meet the middle metal that is used as the stand when in open bench mode. It looks like it will hide the cables that way.
Dimitri I think there are mounting points for 120 mm fans as well but just on one side, closer to the hinges
Elegant looking dust collector.
Amazing design, I would buy this right away!
You are looking quite fine today Dmitri! Cool looking product and good video!
2:20 I see a few slots for 140mm
Yep, they will take two per side.
Hey, quick note on your description, the link you have listed for your slider goes to a USB C Aux/power adapter
Honestly, CES From Home is much more comfortable than going out there in the crowd with all the noise, where you can barely here the reporter.
This comment was written by a lockdown-induced couch potato. :P
get yourself a pair of thin rubber gloves for handling the glass. saves on the cleanup.
Why is everyone saying first, second, third, etc when you know that being last is harder to get?
Cooler Master's been doing a damn good job lately. Some company made a similar case, similar as in open and hinged, and failed pretty hard. Now they just need a proper sandwich style ITX case and they'll have killed it.
I love seeing you accept the craziness of your hair! Lol.
This case looks pretty slick. I can't wait to see the crazy builds either.
Lol I’m still in the quarantine hair mode.
-D.
So you could use one wing for an AIO radiator and the other wing for cable/RGB controller management. Nice.
pretty cool for a convertible test bench/pc case. but i can't help but feel like the thermaltacke core P line did a very similar thing that's arguably more practical
I'd love to see a smaller version of this case. Would be perfect for cramped desks.
Looks nice,
And looks like the wings can be folded under the test bed also.
just reminds me of the thermaltake core series... need to see a full build in the cooler master to determine which is the better case!
This case looks great!
I feel like the wing cutouts have the same issue as some of Corsair's systems where the airflow is impeded by the geometric design. They could do a simpler pattern that blocks fewer airflow holes.
Looks like the wings could be folded under in test bench mode if you lift the edge up. The supports at the bottom are angled back. Do they bend/angle back that far?
As someone who owns a Thermaltake Core P7 which is similar in the concept but bigger, I really like this one and I think I would have actually bought instead of my P7 if it was released earlier.
The build quality seems really better than the P7, the instructions look better too, it's slimmer, the hinges and wings look way better than on the P7 and the test bench mode looks really good too.
The only thing that bothers me would be the cable management part since the back of the case isn't closed like with the P7.
Very different! The Master Frame!
Wow, what an awesome case. Just a shame that the tempered glass is not in 2 pieces and hinged as doors. Coolermaster is rocking it.
that packaging is so high end, damn :o
That just seems like it'd be full of dust after a week in my apartment
A week hahaha dirty people
This is actually an amazing barebones kit to mount a PC into custom drawers etc....
I'd buy an ITX version of this with dual 240 rad support instantly. This looks super cool and flexible but it would take up a lot of space. Very nice Coolermaster. ITX/SFX version for the win! Keep it up,
I've seen this case in person, and imo with rads on both sides the size won't be crazy different if it was itx only. Also, it's really not that big either. With its wing like design it looks pretty good
Love it. Can't wait to see the pricing.
Yes finally innovation! in case category.
Well I was gonna do a build with a P5 or P7 this year... but this just seems miles better.
Just add a lot of dust filters on magnets and it will be pretty decent case with good airflow. It's only for desk or wall mount.
I'm very tempted. Currently I'm on an ITX Singularity Wraith and it's maxed out.... BUT! How is the rear IO access in there? I might not be able to have a nice Display port fitment with a radiator+fans
So how much does the frame weigh by itself? I'm thinking about vesa mounting with a custom watercooling loop, but given that it's only vesa 100 that's a 30lbs limit, so I'd need to figure out how much the rest of the components are allowed to weight
I would love to see this mounted on the wall with two 360 radiators, but I could only imagine how heavy it would be
It looks like an old tube tv... but then it looks like a fireplace... but then it looks like the Mars rover landing pad...
When it takes longer to build the case, than it does to build the rest of the computer.
This is why Iove Yuel Beast's Atlas chassis, one beautiful solid piece of steel
That peel was one of the best I've experienced. The end was a bit too quick though ;)
Hey guys, if you're looking for non standard cases, you should take a look on etsy. Some people have cool ideas, though some are just files and also require a 3d printer.
In test bench mode, you should probably fold the wings underneath instead of hanging out to the sides (8:41).
Wish manufactures build a pc case where there is a power contact at the bottom that provides power to case fans and the walls with fans just lift out like a box. That way we can have a test bench and can easily put a "top" with all the fans on if needed without needing to mess with fan cables to MB
Have you not seen the Thermaltake Wall mount cases? I have mine in the massive one with two wings... IT'S MASSIVE and takes TWO people to put it on the wall mount!
All the wings this pc is fly as hell 😂
You should put "preview" in the title so that I know not to expect a full build because at the end of the video I was annoyed at not seeing a graphics card or anything inside the case
Personally i think thats an awesome looking " case".
Fantastic amount of potential for some really cool looking builds
Isnt the wings upside down? I mean the curves on the Edge looks like It grabs onto the glass pannel, also looks like u can slide the pannel?
How long are the i/O cables? Are they long enough to mount under my monitor with the system sitting beside it?
case was designed with the help of the gear seakers channel and a few others, fun little tid bit of info there.
Ha that's so cool! Weird how Cooler Master didn't mention any of that lmao
-D.
I would love this if there was an option to mount the PSU in the front under an ITX mobo and make the rear flush or nearly flush against the wall for a wall mount.
Like a P1, with additional room for radiators so I don't have to stack 240 mm rads to get sufficient cooling like I have to in a P1.
two questions pls
1) vertical GPU is possible ?
2) in vertical mode (not test bed) is possible to have a radiator on top ?
Couldn't you use the tempered glass in workbench mode underneith as a sort-of base/floor for the case. Eg. just leave it attached to the bottom of the legs? Not sure why but it would reflect RGB etc...
i was thinking a dual 360 setup before i got to that part of the video xD this is the kind of case in which i would get custom length cables in a custom color/pattern. i would build everything first then measure cable route lengths and order a nice set. this might honestly be my next build. i dont plan to build new for awhile, but man this case is sick. i could always transfer the guts of mine to this this. hmmm. i want it.
A more efficient and space-friendly tower design for newer PC builds.
I have to first admit that I know I'm not the target audience for a case like this, and yet I can't help but wonder just why anyone would want it. But enough of that...
First thing I want to say is there seems to be holes making it possible to mount 140 mm fans or 280 mm radiators on those wings.
Then there's the feet... or scratch protection as Dimitri kept calling them. Why on earth would you put two of them on top of the "wings"? That makes no sense what so ever. Now not having handled this or having any good quality pictures I can't tell, but it would make a lot more sense if those could be slid onto the bottom frame for the TG panel. That would relieve the stress from the weight of the glass and probably make the whole construction more stable on the table.
Finally I'm pretty sure this case will be quite expensive, which I guess is fine as it really is a very specialized piece of gear. It's bulky, fragile, well perhaps not in the "Careful, it may break!" way but in the "Wow there's a lot of exposed edges, glass and unnecessary hinges and stuff" way. It's also highly impractical, so in the end it's sole saving grace is the bling factor. Now I have zero sense for Bling! so I can't really say if it is attractive, ugly or spectacular, so I'll just refrain from saying anything more on the looks other than that it's not something that I find interesting. But if you have the desk space to spare, the hardware to show off and think the look is fine then I also guess you have the means to buy this even though it will be pretty expensive. And that's why I think the price is in line with the target market.
Why wouldn't you actually put a full computer in it instead of just the motherboard cpu/cooler and ram?
Its just a quick preview of it. He's not trying to do a full system build.
Its a preview. Once we get the final sample, expect a full build and more. :)
I wanted to see a fully functional system though, like, will it look good with all the cables?
That's a cool looking great bench/case. I look forward to find out how much they cost
This looks really interesting!
Really want to see a completed build with some RGB reflecting off all the surfaces
The DUAL PSU option just made this case a MAYBE instead of a NOPE!
My first thought is that they should offer this as a separate product in test bed mode... I actually need a test bed, and I dont want to pay for or need to store a large piece of glass, we all know none of is would just throw it out
To see it fully built would have been good, what do the wires look like after?
I like the wall mount idea i wish i had one.
i feel that the wings are going to obstruct airflow. i love the look but don't understand why they chose form over function. i give it an A+ for looks, but a B- for functionality, and finally A+ for packaging, ignoring the screw bag because you will most likely build it one way or the other throwing the left over screws away or placing them in a junk drawer. unless there's no difference to wing airflow after taking a dremel cutting blade to the wings.
Not something for me, but I like it, especially because we need some new ideas. A lot of cases (won't say all since I haven't checked them all out) have the same old problems, same with the motherboards etc.. Now and then we get new ideas, and it's lovely :)
My cats love this box...
Reminds me a bit of the Thermaltake P7. But probably WAY easier to work with!
Im not 100% sold the fan vents on the wings, seems unnecessarily restrictive? Also seems odd that they wouldn't provide 420mm fan support
That has to be "Walk Mounted" !!!
Reminds me a lot of the Thermaltake core p7 with those radiator wings.
Not a fan of this type of case but at least CM is willing to take chances at innovating the ITX module. They struck gold with the NR200 and even the H100 was a near miss only because it didn't accept SFF PSU.
I’m a long time fan of the channel and I am honestly disappointed you didn’t take the opportunity to do a showcase build on an actual showcase case. Get paid for the clickbait, fill the case out with some sponsored fans, throw on a sponsored aio, or do a sponsored video “Finally Something DIFFERENT is coming, and I’m going to try it, FIRST!”
I would love to see more 1u and 2u cases
