Some little grom from San Diego just called Miss Marks the next " Kelly Slater" - NO COMMENT on that BS. I honestly believe that the next "wave" of surfing will be to do all of this facing backwards , or with your eyes closed. Again , what these people are doing is incredibly fun to watch , but what's next ? Hubby Seth , doing a headstand while typing ( yeah , right !). ALOHA

Honestly, they should be on Twinnies or some other fun board. They all look slow and bogged down. Obviously they are stuck in the competition mind set riding their competition tri fins but in my opinion it’s boring to watch
I feel like spray should really not be something you can judge a surfer on in this day. In the end, spray is just a sign of drag and turbulent water but what the best surfboard does is create the least drag and in this way allows for faster and more abrupt turns. So I would just say filipe surfs the cleanest and is dialed in with his board the most. Even Kolohe said his "magic" board(the one he surfs best on) will not be used in competition, because a "good" board throws more spray.
