If only we had had a proper art teacher like you at school my 45 year career would have been entirely different! I doodled a lot working in admin - free pens! Tonight I produced quite a recognizable peony ... with grownup shading, so proud! It's a great start and can only get better with practice, thank you for another super-valuable lesson :)

this is exactly what I need I love drawing flowers but leave out the basic shapes I just look at the reference and find a spot to start, but that doesn't help me with drawing from imagination so watching this I'll definitely be practicing

I actually followed along with you as you drew, and took notes with your instructions on each paper I drew on. If you can draw good and make your leaves look good, you still have to be able to compose them. I'm looking forward to your color theory class. I wish you would of drawn the last filler leaf in the beginning Bigger! I tried to zoom my screen in to see it. But that didn't help 😕 If I had a computer or a tablet that would be different but I don't. Just letting you know. Also, I have some Winsor Newton blacks. What would you recommend instead of Mars Black?

totally this was a great glass among ao many great classes, I loved seeing something lovely and clearly floral appear under my hand - like magic!; something irrelavent, but kind of funny, sometimes when you say C-curve, I hear seeker [though from your books I know what you mean and youtube's auto-captioneseems to r hear secret sometimes hears seeker, too, whew.
