I honestly liked the look of the Facecam better overall though the Pro handled some image quality better. I'm actually really shocked by the out of the box difference. I feel like with some tweaking from the Elgato software I'd imagine the Pro would probably be better overall. Currently using the Facecam for my stream and videos. The C920 is still a relatively good webcam for the price but color seemed faded and inaccurate.
Definitely getting the Facecam after seeing this, wanted to incorporate my face in RUclips videos and that looks like it’s gonna be the best option. Thank you.
The Facecam (Non-Pro) actually, in my opinion, looked more natural and movement was way better. I currently use the C920, but have been looking at the Face Cam (non-pro) for a while now. This video helps.
Facecam looks to be giving the best picture quality among the three in the comparison. Using a C922 myself and it's still doing fine for now. When going into chat only it does show it's age and limitations on full screen but in game and just using a small camera window it works. Next would probably be my old DSLR which I would want to try someday.
I run a C920 currently. I have seen some other reviews on the Facecam Pro, It seems to struggle with low light setups, I wonder if the bright background was "artificially" tricking the sensor to see low light? Great side by side by side comp though, I very much appreciate this
Honestly, the facecam (non pro) seems to give the best quality while maintining a high fps. I'm currently using a logitech brio 4k, set to 1080p at 60fps. Turn off auto exposure and set it to 5, deactivate and reactivate to get full color spectrum and frame rate, and that seems to be working well for my particular lighting setup. At the moment i have no need to upgrade, and i dont think i ever will . . . . untill it breaks for some reason, lol.
hey bro, im confused between logitech brio and elgato facecam (non pro), i would want to use it for streaming and recording at 1080p 60fps, after seeing the reviews i came to the conclusion of brio giving slightly better quality, but the facecam have the inbuilt memory feature, since i use a laptop setup, i would be unplugging and plugging my webcam often, and facecam seems good for that as it saves the settings, does the logitech one also saves its settings somehow, or should i go with facecam???? please help, i cant find a video which covers this topic fully
@apratimsingh1306 no, most Logitech Webcams do not save the settings. After a pc restart I have to adjust the settings again to where I had them. But after a few times you know them by heart, so it's fine for me. If you don't want to remember all that and set and forget it, go with the face cam for sure. Hope this helped 🙂
I'm looking for something that shows more true colors. I currently have a C922 and thru OBS I'm unable to adjust the hue, nor thru the Logitech software. It also has a heck of a time focusing on things up close. Thank you for this comparison!
I have to say the Elgato face cam blows away the face cam Pro. I’m using a C920 right now it looks good but I want something a little bit more professional and I think the Elgato face cam looks really good. Great video thank you !
Gonna say though, with the Logitec software, I've made my C920 look so beautiful, even in lower light settings with my curtains closed. I do appreciate the unbiased no-software comparison though, I see so many people comparing el Gato with the C920 but using El Gato's software, so I wonder how much it can improve with software too
Wow great video. Definitely, the logitech holds its own. I suspect with editing the facecam pro starts taking over but for basic footage seems c920 wins
Great video! From the looks of it, Facecam wins when you're at 1080p, though I imagine the Pro would blow everything else out of the water with 4K, better lighting, and all the bells and whistles.
i want the face cam pro or whatever but the c920 does a great job for it price range, not sure what it goes for today but bought sub 50 dollars, like 40 max.
So my Elgato Facecam can only do snapshots? Can I not record off that hub ..so confused.. I know you can you use quicktime but then when i go to export it's only at 720p .. anyone can help?
Logitech's has the best auto-exposure and feels very real as a camera. Elgato facecam is sharper but worse, Elgato Facecam pro seems like highter resolution image but is not good at auto-exposure like the non pro webcam. Logitech 's feels like a well balance but with bad motion smoothness like, bad shutterspeed/fps values.
facecam looks the best, face cam pro looks worst.... question though... has there been a fix found for the regular facecam just freezing and disconnecting??? its annoying me to no end...
for me it worked this way - I tried different usb ports. usb 3 works the best. also make sure to keep opened either egato cam hub or obs, but not both of them
@@dashamoony mine is connected through usb C through a 3.0 port and it still does this... i only use it in OBS and it just will randomly freeze and turn off. i have to unplug it and restart obs for it to turn back on because it doesnt find it as a usable device until i do.
I do want to get the facecam pro but I’m debating on getting just a webcam or upgrading my dslr i take everywhere (it’s a canon 2ti) with the phones having decent cameras it’s hard for me to decide which way I’m going with things. Multitasking products to be on the go 😂
Your lighting set-up is really fatiguing on the eyes and makes you look "grapey" and filtered, but I was floored at how much cleaner the output was with the standard Elgato. I'm hoping that you may have changed to it as part of your rig, as it (in your lighting) IMO, blew the others, including your current cam away. At first I thought you were intentionally blurring your background, until the Elgato (standard) was the ONLY cam to keep you in perfect focus while somehow allowing striking detail to things like your mic collection and RUclips Plaque. You may have stumbled across your own solution by uploading a video meant to help others! I was actually interested in the pro, but your comparison in real light, definitely prevented me from making that mistake. It lacked in both articulation AND response compared to everything else you've shown. Thanks for the no-nonsense comparison.
this helped A LOT! going with the facecam (non-pro)
I use a C920 and was considering getting an 'El Gato.'
After watching this video I'm convinced my C920 is fine. haha

It's crazy how good the c920 still is for the price.
That cam is a piece of shit I've had nothing but problems using it while streaming

I used to have the Razer kiyo cam, but then I switched to the Elgato cam and let me just say, it is worth the money!
Thanks for this video. I feel like the facecam is better then the pro. I'm rocking Logitech c615s lol. Time for a upgrade!
Crazy the C920 came out 12 years ago and is still being used and is still great

Still... in the color checker test, the red color was totally off... looked like pale orange...

Thanks for the vid. They all look just okay to me. I'll just keep using my old cellphone
Is there a way to save the GHUB settings in the C920? Every time I shut down my PC they reset 😅
I just unboxed and used my elgato facecam pro and this thing has been amazing so far
We need a couple of these cams. Did you pay around $150 each?

definitively picking the Elgato Facecam. Also, how is the pro version shittier?

He's got a pretty boss 'do going there as well. Approved!
Not having autorotate on the phone for the colors...
When used properly and tweaked, the Elgato Facecam Pro is by far the superior webcam in all situations.
What about the Razer Kiyo Pro camera?
Anyone knows where to find his led walls?

The Elgato Facecam looks way more sharp than the other 2 imho, but has like some weird ghost effect in the darker setting
I’d be interested to see all 3 used with a Green screen @Gael LEVEL
Thank you!

What? Elgato Facecam better than Facecam PRO?
it's not, it is just a better plug and play. Pro gives a way higher quality, you just need to tweak a bit more to get the image look you want

How is the logitech even competing with these higher end webcams lol
