You missed out on the biggest thing Peach has in this game: being able to float from ledge while retaining ledge invincibility. It was found super late into Brawl's life span so it never got to see much use but it gave her a leg up against being some more oppressive ledge guards like Mach Tornado.
Man I really miss Brawl's sound effects. And Sonic's visual design looks soo much cooler

Yeah Sonic's moveset doesn't exactly fit his character completely but he's been my main since brawl so I like playing as him anyway.

You showed brawl wario getting ground release regrabbed by marth. That is not true on wario, as only ness and lucas have the 10 extra frames there. Wario has a bad air release, so maybe that's what you were thinking of, but it wasn't shown

Because Earth was just that good. He was to pit what esam was for pikachu in brawl. If you didnt play against him, the placement will be a lot worse. Fox was also a lot higher placed.
You should compare Brawl's Japanese Tier List to NTSC's Tier List. There are a lot of differences between them
Fox is much higher, Pikachu is much lower, Zelda and Sheik are just counted in the same slot, Ganondorf isn't last, Jigglypuff is last, Mario is a mid tier instead of a low tier, and much more
Is there an in game difference between the NTSC version of brawl and the PAL Version?
@@Freeraining-og7uh The only difference is that the PAL version has a glitch that only happens in Subspace. In one of the levels, if you fall into one of the bottomless pits, it'll transport you further ahead of the level instead of responding where you died. That's about it

Pit, the most mid character in all of Smash history, is always a mid-tier in all of his appearances, would be cool to see his history in Smash, since Smash basically rebooted him to a modern audience.
Half charged waft being stronger in brawl was an intentional design choice to reward players who could keep track of its charge, much like how move staling was ramped up to 11 in this game to reward using your chars whole kit.
Love the Pokemon Colosseum/XD music.
They really did a lot of characters dirty in Brawl, but TBCH, I enjoy playing as a lot of the mid tiers, especially DK, Wario, Luigi, Sonic, Wolf, and Yoshi. They just have such an interesting playstyle in this game. Also, Brawl Sheik's design is peak design for her, since it's based on an unused design from Twilight Princess.
Wolf also has trouble recovering from spikes because he has the longest meteor cancel lockout in the game (60 frames)
Another thing about Peach is that her matchups/viability in this game actually got better as time went on, with Mew2King saying she could be top 10. Others pointed out the late-discovered float invincibility as well. From one Peach player to another - you gotta hype her up for all she’s worth cuz she’s a character that unfortunately never gets clout or hyped. The only time people talk about her being good is when they have too 😭
if you play it on 1.5x speed it almost looks like PM
I think the developers wanted the player to use Sheik to combo and rack up % and then switch to Zelda for the kill.
Which would have been an interesting playstyle if not for the fact that transforming takes like 6 seconds of loading and leaves you vulnerable to so much shit it's not even worth it.
If Down-B was instant, gave you a few seconds of i-frames and maybe even knocked back enemies then it might have worked.
Ok, so I have an Honest Question, where do Smash Creators learn like you find their data? I kinda want to get into some content creation for Smash, but I don’t want to just use my personal experience as all I have is my time playing the game and a decent amount of videos, like yours which I have enjoyed watching. I’ve taken film for 4 years and kinda want to do something with it and this would be something I think I would find fun, I really like your video format!
A lot of Brawl data is scattered throughout old archives with more in the wikis, but a lot of data isn’t captured. In fact, some of the data and showcases in this video aren’t even accurate (most notably the Wario grab release which should be an air release and not a ground release). More stuff is even being found today by dedicated players who still actively play and lab the game. The best place for Brawl info is to probably just ask around in Discord servers like Brawl Central where you can find dedicated character specialists and people who are just generally knowledgeable about the game and its mechanics. But the Smash wiki is also a decent source of info which I imagine is probably where Honest Content gets most of his info

5:25 Actually what surprised me is that King Dede is only 12 in brawl. I remember when I used to play brawl a lot when it was new, King dedede was such a pain in the ass to go against because of his chain grabbing. Not to mention there was a point in time where the top three best characters were Meta Knight who still is the best, then snake who I think dropped the 6th I believe and yes King deded was the third best fighter in the game at one point. Now he's down the 12th That is why 12th is a surprise to me
a lot of the more oppressive characters in the game can't be chaingrabbed
I think the best Mid Teir moment in competitive Brawl was at the first major tournament for the game. Ken, a Marth main, and easily the greatest melee player of his era, lost a tournament to a kid playing Rob. He wasn’t even in town for the tournament, he just came there for fun, and won the whole thing. Needless to say, caused an outrage.
Dedede honestly should be proud of himself due to his tier placement for a big boi heavyweight.
Also, G&W is my all-time Brawl main. :D
As a Luigi main played brawl the mid aren’t too bad. They are a struggle to use against meta knight.
I feel like brawl wario would have been way better if he didn't have his grab release jank. Same with maybe Ness and Lucas
Triple D's backthrow was also really good. Did about 17% and worked really well on characters he couldn't efficiently chaingrab

15:30 oh boy did this down smash got nerfed, it turned from probably the best down smash in the game to probably the worst down smash in the game, because characters will always fall out of this move, and it dosen't even kill at sudden death %

The sheer irony of Sonic's placement in Brawl, has led to being a god tier character in later games.
So the high tier, upper mid tier, mid tier, and low mid tier. Now Brawl has been done! Are you gonna do Melee's B+ tier aince its the only tier you haven't discussed?

I think Fox having arguably one of the best metaknight matchups in the game puts him well above wolf and he should be much higher on the tier list if that is the case imo. His only real issue is the Pikachu matchup
Due to (what can only be called a glitch) Squirtle is actually the fastest in Brawl.

I heard you mentioned Melee marth when talking about dedede, I just wanted to say melee marth's grab is perfectly modest, and the fault normally lies with the opponent. Great video besides that!
Didnt watch it yet but my prediction: They arent that good since they cant counter Meta Knight well since the tier list is about who can beat him
