    Thanks for that update. I'm also on the hunt for mini plants.

      Me too, I got another set of what they claimed were mini tomato plants and they grew crazy and overran the whole thing. Seems so many lie about their seeds.

    Hi, having purchased the iDOO hydroponic greenhouse, I would like to know what water I can use (tap, bottled, or demeralised) I don't want to spend money to buy an osmosis water purifier! Thanks for your honest reply!

      For a while I was using tap water ut found that mine was hurting my plants. I use a small water filter that attaches to the sink for all plant water. Its like a $40 system.

    Are the sponges “one use only” or can they be reused and do you wet them before placing seeds in?

    • @Jakereviewsall
      @Jakereviewsall  6 месяцев назад

      One time use, the roots will grow throughout them.

    • @Jakereviewsall

      Any plant really but smaller the better. I had to remove and transplant a couple of them yesterday since they are getting so big already.

    is the iDOO system better then the URUQ 12 Pods Indoor Gardening System?

      @@Jakereviewsall It just won't germinate. I'll put the seed in the pod and leave it alone, but I'm still left with a seed. My first thought was that it's too big for the opening to go down far enough, but now I'm not sure.

    Question, I want to know what purpose does the 4L water tank fill do? Does it cycle water? Or get water from the stem? The leaves on the palm trees I’m sprouting using this, are getting dry and brown Any reason why that might be ? Wish I could add photos on here to show you what I mean.

    • @Jakereviewsall
      @Jakereviewsall  2 года назад

      I have wished we could post photos for years. I always kept mine at the max line daily when my plants started out. If the pod is not getting wet they could die if no roots are into the water yet. It has a pump that circulates the water every so often but I think that still works even half empty.

    I jist got one of this about 2 weeks ago. I have one ? How often do i but food in the water

    • @Jakereviewsall
      @Jakereviewsall  7 месяцев назад

      when I plant new stuff I feed every 2 weeks and put fresh water, when plants are growing then I add food for the amount of water I add in weekly.

    I just purchased one of these yesterday and planted seeds last night. mint and peppermint seeds are SOOOO SMALL, had a difficult time pulling seeds out of the plastic baggie and onto a white paper where I could separate them into piles of 4 seeds. Picking them up to place in the sponge was a hassle.
    if anyone has tips for dealing with tiny seeds let me know. Much appreciated.

    • @Jakereviewsall
      @Jakereviewsall  2 года назад

      the tiny seeds can definitely be a pain, the mint grows great as well. Mine went nuts, I normally just press my finger onto them so they sorta stick and then try to brush them over to the sponge.

    • @goodcitizen4587

      Use a bamboo stick (like a chopstick) and dab the end in water to stick it to a seed, then just slide the seed off into a netcup. 'Jeb Gardener' channel shows that.

      @@goodcitizen4587 Nice, I never thought about a chopstick and I always have those around. I will be using that next time.

    • @Jakereviewsall
      @Jakereviewsall  2 года назад +1

      No new updates right this moment, the tomato plants I grew went wild and killed the rest though so just be careful which seeds you choose. The system itself still works flawlessly though, I actually like it better then the Aerogarden.

    Should I get this or the smaller AeroGarden model?

    • @Jakereviewsall
      @Jakereviewsall  2 года назад +2

      the aerogarden is decent and I still use mine but honestly I really like this iDOO and would suggest it over the aerogarden. Has a couple features the other does not including the built in fan which helps with self pollination if you plant things that flower and on top of that it's slightly cheaper as well. You wont go wrong with either of them but I point towards this more.

    did you remove the seedlings that didn't germinate or did you leave them in place
