    This was so much simpler and easier to follow than the instruction manual it comes with!

    This a wonderful thorough review. I have had mine for three days and can see 10 out of 12 are sprouting. Half are herbs. Thanks so much.

    I have a Mufga 12 basket and like it very much. I also like how high the lights raise and that the lights are stronger than another system I have. I have a cherry tomato that is close to a foot tall, some very, very small tomatoes coming. When I went to put in new plant seeds it said to soak the seeds for 6 hours. I had no idea how to do this for all the seeds I wanted to plant. My old engineer mind went to work, I took an egg tray for 15 eggs and put some grow domes upside down, added a little water, added the seeds in the same order/layout you are going to put the seeds in the hydroponics system. I have had seeds sprouting in 2 days.

    As others have mentioned, the directions are terrible! Thanks for your video, easy to follow and useful info. How do you change the settings on the light? I assume it's the power button. I know it defaults to 16 hrs. of light, but I'd like fewer bright hours for my seedlings. Thanks :)

    • @Killobyte

      If I remember correctly, this one will only do 16 hours on and 8 hours off. With the 16 hours on starting when ever it's turned on.

      Maybe you could get a timer to attach to your electric outlet to change the timing.

    Great instructions! I just have turned on my hydroponic growing system🤩 Why do we have to pull out a second seed? I sowed 2 or 3 seeds just in case but i am not sure if i can let grow all of them at same time 😅

    • @Killobyte
      @Killobyte  6 месяцев назад +3

      The plants will be crowded if you let more than one grow which will cause some to be shaded and not produce. With most plants, you will get better results with just one in each.

      Thanks a lot! After 7 days plants are growing well. The parsley seeds and coriander seeds are the only ones that don't germinate yet. Maybe they take more time than the other seeds. I will wait one more week🕰

    We started our seeds but have question about the lights. Once you turn the power on and make sure it is set to veggies, do you need to adjust any of the buttons on top? Does it automatically take care of the pump and lights? We just are not sure what or when lights should be on. Thank you.

    • @Killobyte
      @Killobyte  3 месяца назад

      When you turn the power on, that starts it's timer and it will automatically start and stop the pump and the lights. Be aware, if you lose power, it will reset the timer to when power comes back on, so you might want to reset it back (turn it off/on again in the morning) if the timer is off too much.

    This was so helpful! Thank you! 🥰
    The pump started right away when I turned the power on but then it went to blinking. Do I need to push it again? Or will it automatically go in 30min intervals? What if you do push it-does it start the 30min intervals again?

    • @whiteguydre
      @whiteguydre 6 месяцев назад +1

      It will start again on its own when you choose a setting. I had to leave mine alone for a bit to test this theory.

    I am new to growing food, can I use seeds from the fruit and veggies in my fridge? And do I still have to soak them first?

    • @Killobyte
      @Killobyte  24 дня назад +1

      That would be a firm maybe. 😉 If they are organic they might grow, but the speeds from a lot of the fruits and veggies from the store won't germinate.

    my mufga hydroponic system is flashing its lights at me and not allowing me to use the pump. I’ve had it for about a year. I just replaced the AC adapter. I made sure to get the right one, still nothing.

    How often do you have to add water? I'm just wondering if I go on vacation for a week, will the plants be ok.🤔

    • @Killobyte
      @Killobyte  5 месяцев назад +1

      You can go a week without adding water when the plants are small. But as they get bigger, they will need refills more often.

    So since you clearly know, nothing about growing anything the light settings are not for fruits, vegetables, and flowers. It’s for vegetative growth, and fruiting and flowering process of growing.

  • @zendrive794
    @zendrive794 7 месяцев назад

    So you don't add any plant food right away like you do when you first start with seeds in an Aerogarden?

    • @Killobyte
      @Killobyte  7 месяцев назад +1

      It won’t hurt to add it before but the plants don’t need it until the 2nd set of leaves.

    Is it best to have the light running at night vs the day, or does it matter?

    • @Killobyte
      @Killobyte  8 месяцев назад

      If it's a dark room, you can have the light on at anytime. But if the room gets any sun light, the light should be on when the sun is out and off when it's dark, as much as possible. Most plants do need downtime/sleep also. 😀

    • @Killobyte
      @Killobyte  Год назад +2

      You can add the plant food when you first plant them, it won't hurt anything. But the nutrients that the plant will use to sprout and grow it's first leaves all come from the seed itself.

      @@Killobyte thanks for answer. I started my first cycle yesterday (today is day 2) I'm excited! Another question: should the lights stay on all the time? I thought at some point they would automatically turn off.

    • @Killobyte
      @Killobyte  Год назад +1

      The light will stay on for 16 hours from the time it's turned on and then go dark for 8 hours. If you turn it off or it loses power, it will reset the light timer and start again with light staying on for 16 hours.
