LOL, I was there for the demo event, too. I rode that exact same green Scrambler. As an owner of a t120 and Speed Twin 900, the 400x was VERY impressive - especially for the money. I’m pretty tempted to downsize the t120, because I really want something light and easy to maneuver for fire roads like up in Payson.
Seems like you were energized/impressed with the Triumph. I'd like to get a Bonneville. Enjoyed the video A.D.D and thanks for sharing. RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!
I believe it's a 6 speed from watching videos on it. Revzilla has a couple videos on the Scrambler 400x and the Speed 400 with some highway riding to show how the engine handles.
It's pretty revy. The peak power/torque come in at 8K. I had it at highway speeds it was just fine. It's a 6 speed. I was not expecting it to be so fun.
I have one and would say that if you are going to do a ton of highway get something bigger with some wind protection. It will do highway speeds but it's not what it excels at. Imo, 20 - 60 mph is where it likes to sit. It's a good city bike and a fun back road burner.

Hah! That's great. I wish there was more vintage activities in Arizona. I think the 400x would be a great fire road bike with a set of Shinko 804/805.

Henry, that was unexpectedly fun.
I want one
Me too. But I think my wife would fire me 😁
6k isn't bad for for what you get. is it a 5 or 6 speed? Wondering how the revs are on the highway.

Around my area they have demo days for Indian but thats it.
I'm hoping to get a ride on a Springfield. Unfortunately they don't make the Vintage models anymore.
