@@alekijr.777 Imagine if they had 2 years instead of just 1 to develop this game. ProStreet could have EASILY been a masterpiece. The sound in this game was fantastic.
yup, game have to visualize something since we cant actually feel it. it may look a bit unrealistic but at least it gives a sense of feel for the speed. driveclub did it best but there are other great examples like pro street, shift and shift 2, midnight club LA and a few others. the first horizon game also had a good sense of speed. game like gran turismo on the other hand..u drive 450 kph in that game and it still feels like 50 kph.
One of these Nevada challenges was so brutal that the only way I managed to win was by totalling every other competitor by pushing them off the road. I can still remember the horrors of having to drive at 350+km/h in a two-lane narrow track just barely keeping up with everyone else, knowing very well that one second of distraction could end the race for me.
When I were a kid I would just break before the apex of the hill and tune for slight soft suspension. Whoever overtook me right before the jump would crash. Other than that absolutely brutal especially some corners are pretty tight and you can overshoot the entry speed. But I feel japan was fairly tough as well, the narrowing bridge, the hill that makes the suspension jump around like crazy. Actually agreed I would repeat Nevada Highway a lot, and that's the only part of the game where I seen my fingers twitch and I would fail to move the stick. 2 hours in and your fingers just give up.
Racing in Nevada and Japan is a real torture for an inexperienced player, in Nevada there has never happened that a car does not break down, you run over some stones on the road the car will start to bounce and sweep when you drive over 350 km / h, same on this track in Japan, where these hills are, there are bends where there are railings where, in order not to drive into them, you have to drive in the middle, there is also a section where there are only two narrow lanes with asphalt and in the middle there is some gravel, poles and slopes that like you drive over this car, it probably rolls over, I think that there is no more difficult NFS when it comes to fast driving and a difficult track, best regards
The skill demonstrated in this video is among the best I’ve seen period. Your ability to keep Stage 4 cars under control (especially that Mustang) is truly impressive. I raise my glass, from one Pro Street veteran to another.
As long as its not classic cars, nothing is hard. For me rx7 has been the best, i can reach top speed with it and it kinda understeers, perfect for speed challenge unlike the zonda
Pure gold..Such satisfying and clean driving skills! You are the best nfs player i've seen in yt until i comment this.Congrats!(And the mini heart attack in 9:58 was real shit kk)
Such an underrated game, Nevada highway prob still the hardest track for me till now. Back then really struggling to keep up with Jp Laurent with my 67 Corvette (such a hard car to drive but I love it), really disappointed to find out that that Nate Denver is not even faster than standard AI drivers, maybe he's the slowest in the Boxcut team. Cool driving btw, cool car setups too
People say Nevada is hard. No it's not it's really easy but Tokyo... I hate Tokyo and you finished it like it wasn't hard at all. Incredible, you got mad skills
Speed events are the most unforgiving in the game, arguably even worse than SS and TT (Grip) if you don't have a quick all round car. But when you have it dialled in, all three are so rewarding One of the best games I've ever played, different to your traditional NFS but it's proper, proper racing!
So I just found this video and WOW, that is some fricking incredible driving. As someone pretty well played in racing games, some of those I would definitely not save.
The Car Sounds in general, transmission whine and shifting sound, aswell as the Boost Sound is still pretty sick compared to todays „standards“. This game was way ahead of its time and i wish they would remake it as soon as possible. But most of the people heated on this game. Guess we will never get one! 😢
Many people say Nevada is the hardest set of tracks in this game but to me, the Tokyo Expressway is definitely much harder because all of the jumps and the many sharp corners, it's always a junkyard by the time I get to the finish line because almost the entire roster of opponents crash in that one bigass jump
Had to double check the video playback speed beacuse I thought it's changed but no.. that's the insane sense of speed. The only racing game I was scared to drive insanely fast in order to avoid totaling.
Something I wished the devs changed for the better was the Ai of drivers in speed events, because you mean to tell me half of these drivers who have come a long way and invested thousands on their cars are just wrecking them and possibly getting a life altering condition.
still the one of the best nfs games out there. completed it 4 times back in the days on the trusty PS2 and then modded the fuck out of it when I moved on to pc
I download & install patch 1.1 from community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/2045-need-for-speed-prostreet-patches/ . The file I choose is dlcpatchrelease_iso.7z But, since this patch will also cap your game to 30fps, I recommend you to use generic fix that can be found on www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Need_for_Speed:_ProStreet#Patches
on the pc port the tokyo map is a dlc (im pretty sure) and on the ds port (which is better than more than half the pc ports of any nfs) had all maps for free, not the cars though
i just downloaded nfs prostreet a few weeks ago and almost complete the career, but still cannot found tokyo expressway track, how did you get this track???
it's dlc. in order to unlock it, you can use NFS Pro Street Generic Fix, but you need patch 1.1 before that. more about that at www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Need_for_Speed:_ProStreet
nfs prostreet probably has the most underrated car sounds in car gaming history
