Been making this “yogurt” since December since my husband was diagnosed with SIBO and we both feel so much better. Thank you Dr Davis. I use my Instant Pot Pro. When we finish one batch I start another. We use it as our dessert in the evening and even give our cats and dog a little. They love it.
I’m making my second batch of “yogert” now, the first one was Perfect! I used the 20B Oxiceutics in the 1st batch (2 capsules), I’m using 2T yogurt to start the 2nd batch. I can’t believe how great the strained yogurt tastes! Thanks so much for your guidance and videos. Cheers from south Florida!
Making the yoghurt is quite a process? It takes minutes to prepare ! And 36hrs of watching!! I make it twice a week.
Just started this last week. Awesome results! Could eat the whole quarter! Soooo yummy!
I tried making the coconut milk yogurt and it was soo finicky I just switched to while milk yogurt. It is super easy. I just mix the starter into the milk in a quart sized mason jar and let it sit for 30ish hours at 100degrees in my dehydrator and there you go! We add it to smoothies every morning! I also do this with other probiotic capsules with great success!

I’ve never had any problems with the Bio Gaia L Reuteri tablets and I’ve made lots of yogurt. It makes me suspicious that Dr. Davis comes out with his own product and now he starts talking bad about Bio Gaia…before his product it was fine. I’ll be sticking to the Bio Gaia as Dr. Davis’s L Ruteri for 10 is $66.00 Cad with a $60.shipping cost.
I thought he said you only need half of one of his capsules verses the 10 crushed tablets from the original recipe. I had to watch this video twice because it seemed to start in the middle of their conversation.

It's true that fermenating issues with Biogaia were never mentioned before, and i've seen quite the number of videos. And you're also correct that his product is too absurdly expensive. Especially if you order it from oversea. If his capsules are so powerful he could sell bottles with one third of them for one third of the price.
I recently bought the BioGaia L Reuteri tablets. I tried making the yoghurt and followed the instructions precisely. I ended up with slightly lumpy milk that tasted like milk. I crushed another 10 tablets and tried again. Same result. I wrote to BioGaia and told them that their product was sterile. The responded telling me that their product is not to be used to make yoghurt or any fermented milk product. They failed to address the fact that their product is sterile. I live in Australia and unfortunately just cannot afford Dr. Davis’ product. His shipping price is multiples of any other supplement that I ship from USA. Sorry Doc, I just cannot afford your crazy exorbitant pricing.
Do you crush 10 biogaia tablets or with less is enough? I used only 2 and got a good batch.

I have a sous vide set up I made with a plastic tub to make 2 quart jars of LR at the same time, every 2 weeks. Really easy to make.
My opinion? Fermentation has its UNIQUE benefits. But... take L-Reuteri capsules along with some pre-biotics, while travelling, or unable to ferment milk curds.
I used to wonder why "Ayurveda" INSISTS on consuming only "cultured butter", or ghee made by clarifying "cultured" butter using the laborious "bilona" method, the slow traditional Indian method for making ghee.
And I wondered why Dr. Davis insists on adding half and half to the milk.
"Traditionally", Ayurvedic butter is churned from milk curds, the "old word" term for yogurt. When I was a kid, we used to churn the butter and drink the left over watery "butter milk". Every house hold did that a long long time ago!
But we too, have all become quite lazy, eh? Modernity has a way of doing that.
Besides, it is so much cheaper to extract it from milk using a centrifuge, and then sell "fat-free" leftovers at a premium as the "healthier option", eh!
Then it dawned on me that the bacteria, not just L-Reuteri, but many other strains as well, increases the levels of CLA, or "conjugated linoleic acid" in the gut. CLA may be the only beneficial TRANS-FAT, and is found small amounts in milk, especially grass-fed milk. So it must do so during the culturing of "curds".
A very good reason for fermenting, because the transit time trough the colon is too short to make significant amounts of all the beneficial products of lacto-fermentation.
The joule sound vide stick makes it a breeze and you can make it in a cooler with multiple containers at the same time

is this healing autoimmune disease completely?
@@Sami.La96 There's no 1 way of curing auto-immune disease, however, repopulating L. Reuteri and eliminating SIBO definitely helps... but it's not as simple as doing only that.
A low sugar/low carb diet helps. Carbs and sugar feed bad bacteria. Be sure to still take some sort of prebiotic fiber to keep certain good bacteria species alive. (Dr Davis explains all this in his Super Gut book).
High dosing vitamin D with k2, magnesium, Boron, zinc and Vit A is also recommended to keep the immune sysyem working properly. Dr Berg has a lot of videos about this on RUclips.
No seed oils, no wheat, no processed grains, nothing processed with preservatives since these all compromise the gut microbiome.
Eat organic whole foods as much as possible.
The human body is complex so it's not as simple as just doing one thing or taking a cure-all pill. 70% of the grocery store is ultra-processed and is NOT healthy. Our food quality is what causes many health issues.
Remember... EVERYTHING has some sort of poison in it... from the soil, air, water, chemical fertilizers, herbacides, pesticides, etc.... so we can't avoid them😢. The only thing we CAN do is minimize them by choosing better quality foods.
I’ve tried twice now and it hasn’t thickened like yoghurt 😭. Not sure what I’m going wrong 😞
The first batch will have a lot of separation. The second batch should be thicker and taste better.
Is your machine holding a temperature around 100°? This could be the problem🤔
What type of machine are you using?
Some machines will fluctuate too high (like over 109°) and start killing off the bacteria.
@ the second batch was better to be honest but I thought it would be thicker.
The yogurt maker I have is Luvele’s and it’s pretty good at maintaining the temperature. Maybe it’s me expecting too much and it will get thinker the more batches I make 😕

I've got 2 videos on our channel where I test different prebiotic fibers. Just search "Reuteri Arrowroot" and look for the channel "Happy Home and Garden with John and Dawne".
So far, my favorite is Coconut Flour. It's WAY cheaper than inulin powder and tastes awesome.

Are you using Half and Half(18% MF) that makes it thicker. As well is it UHT dairy (Ultra Heated temp). If it’s not UTH the bacteria in the milk can compete with the bacteria in the dairy. I can’t get UHT dairy, so I have to heat my milk to 180°F hold that temp for 10 minutes then let it cool below 100°F before adding L Reuteri. As well what ever you’re using to ferment your dairy, make sure the temperatures are reading correctly. I also clean and sterilize my jars before using.
@ hi, we also can’t get half and half in uk, so I use a tub of double cream with pasteurised milk. I may bring it to the boil next time and let it cool. Hopefully this will make a difference 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for the videos! One question I have is about Inulin. I don’t know what it does for making the non-yogurt, so if you make a next batch non-yogurt using two tablespoons of non-yogurt from the first batch there won’t be another two tablespoons of Inulin. Why doesn’t this matter? Thanks.

If I use MyReuteri to start a new batch of SIBO yogurt, can I use some of the first batch to make the second batch, instead of using another capsule? How can I confirm that the batches have all the expected amount of probiotics?
In the video on Luvele site yes they used 2 spoonfuls of sibo yogurt to start the next batch.
2 T from the previous batch can be used to make next batch.

Is anyone using full fat heavy cream, which is slightly more Keto friendly, instead of half and half?
I used 2 pints heavy cream and 1 pint half and half. Comes out super thick, almost like butter. I’m going to try next time, 2 pints of half-and-half and 1 pint of heavy cream.
Dr. Davis and Indigo, I normally am highly allergic to milk and especially sour cream and kefir (histamine intolerance). After trying 2 different half cup dosages (a week apart each), I find it i have a hard time clearing my phlegm, my mucous are very dried with blood, and have difficulty to breathe, however my life long eczema is getting better. Have you heard of anyone with this experience ? Could it be only a healing reaction?

I'm just unlucky that I react really badly with kefir. Now I hope to use the Reuteri yogurt to heal myself (I know for sure I have sibo and candida) but the initial healing reaction doesn't seem too successful but at least it didn't make half my head full of severe eczema/oozing for over a week like what kefir and sour cream would do on me....

His book, Super Gut has a coconut milk recipe for yogurt that might work for you. I realize this doesn’t exactly answer your question.

You tested positive for food sensitivities BECAUSE of your bad gut health. The longer I’m carnivore the better my ‘sensitivities’ have become. Start small ‘a teaspoon’

I took the pills straight for a few days but my stomach would hurt each and every time. In other videos he speaks that the microbiome is changing but I don’t know. Pain does feel good at all.

I took some Reuteri in a capsule I ordered and it made be shaky and I did not take it anymore.
My yogurt keeps coming out smelling like a wet dog! Very sour some curdles on my last batch

Ive binge watched videos to see but nothing different
If you are using the Doctors capsules ( use only 1 capsule) you ONLY get the final result with some liquid in it the first batch. Then from then on use 2 table spoons of the solid part of the yogurt from that batch you just made to mix with the Inulin, (use 2 level tablespoons of Inulin). Then every batch after is solid and smooth all they way through. You can make a lot of batches using 2 tablespoons of the previous batch instead of a new capsule ( maybe 30 batches). If you use a new capsule with every batch it will be watery every time. It works 100% for me every time. I set my temp at 99 but sometimes I check and it goes to 100 degrees but anything over 103 or 104 will ruin it and it's useless. I also set the timer for 36 hours like he says to do. I don't try anything fancy just how he said to make it. I just get my Organic half and half milk at the Grocery Store but only use 1 quart for a batch.

First batch cottage cheese, 2nd batch better but still curds. My third batch was perfect. 2 tb of previous batch and I added 1 crushed L-reuterri tab. It turned out perfect! Delicious Infact. Yea!!!

Dr. Berg uses the Ultimate Yogurt Maker found on Amazon. Super easy to use.
I use a Sous Vide, it’s so easy to make yogurt with one. Especially if you can’t buy ultra heated dairy because you can heat the dairy to 180°F let it cool to 100°F then add the L Ruteri and ferment for 36 hrs. With the temperature settings on the Sous Vide this can be done all in one jar…less mess less fuss.
@@binomialnomenclature for me that would be too much work and I wouldn’t be sure the temp was at a consistent 100°F (37°C)
