A single dad in need of beds is at work when he receives an unexpected surprise from a Secret Santa

The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local Secret Santa give $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season.
Sal and his three children live in a two-bedroom apartment and he works full time as a single dad. Several years ago, he was working out of town and didn't get to see his kids often. After missing too many of his son's football games, he made the decision to take a job in eastern Idaho with less pay in order to be present in his kids' lives. He goes to work early on days the kids have sporting events so he can be there to support them. He also helps others whenever there is a need, like giving rides to other kids, filming the games for the coaches or patching up injured football players.
Last month, Sal's father passed away in his sleep unexpectedly. Sal took a week off of work to go to California and pack up his now-widowed mother (who needs full-time care due to her declining health) and his younger brother.
While they are looking for a bigger place, they are all staying in the apartment. Sal's brother is in the apartment all day and night in order to care for their mom while Sal is back at work. They cannot afford new beds and rearranged the house in order to make everyone as comfortable as possible. Sal is sleeping on a broken bed.
Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to pay Sal a visit and surprise him with an early Christmas gift. Watch the video in the player above!

Millennial Gen Y here, I’m a first generation college graduate who did it all alone as a young adult. Took a lot longer than others to financially do it alone (no scholarships) and have a place to live. 7 days a week non-stop work and school for years at university after a long path at community college part-time . I would often budget with $1 left in my account before my paycheck so I could eat. This hardship paid off and I live in Los Angeles now beyond my dreams. This man is already blessed with a family and caring mindset. May this kind gesture bless this man’s family on their life journey forward✌️❤

I love in Ohio, and I've been following your news channel for years. I found your channel when I was homeless, addicted to drugs, and had no hope. Your channel showed me that good people do still exist in this world. I have been sober 5 years now and am working to give back myself, as an addiction counselor...helping people the way somebody helped me. I continue to look forward to and watch your videos year after year...to keep seeing the beautiful blessing these much deserving people receive. I would LOVE to see an update on these families, as I'm sure so many others would as well. These are truly life changing gifts, and it's live to see stories of those who strived afterwards. Also, and I'm not sure how this would every happen, but I would absolutely love to ride along for a Secret Santa giveaway. I've never been to Idaho, but to participate in such a blessing...that would be the greatest blessing of all.

I love these simple gifts. I remember a few seasons back how much it meant to a gentleman in a wheelchair to get a fence so his dog could run outside in the yard with its energy. Same here its so easy to be blind to the comforts we have yet when you need them and have limited funds something like this really makes a difference.
