Grandma selling tamales to pay for husband's medical treatment stunned with a Secret Santa surprise

The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy this holiday season helping a local man gift $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to bless as many individuals in our community as he can.
Maria Garcia makes the most amazing homemade tamales that she sells to help pay for her husband's medical bills. He is on dialysis and they often travel to Salt Lake City for appointments.
The Garcias have five children and 13 grandchildren. Before moving to Idaho Falls three years ago, they ran a food cart in Southern California selling tamales, tacos and carnitas.
They moved to eastern Idaho to be close to some of their grandkids. The tamale business helped pay some bills but the Garcias were forced to stop their business due to COVID-19. They've only recently started up again.
Secret Santa was moved by the Garcia's story and asked the East Idaho News elves to surprise them. We ordered some tamales and showed up with a big tip. Check out the video above!

I get sick when I hear of lotto jackpots where one person wins 100 miliion or even15 million, secret santa shows the effect 1million dollars can have on so many good people! wish more rich people would do the same!

The price of fuel here on the other side of the globe is unbelievably high too. 😬🤪🤪
In the early 80s, gas prices were where they are now. Adjusted for inflation, gas is cheap compared to then! America has among the cheapest prices in the world for our fuel. If it were up to me, I'd add on MORE taxes so people wouldn't drive overly large, fuel guzzling cars. It damages our world!

That's awesome. I took my mom to dialysis 3X per week, 30 miles each way, and would wait at the hospital for 4-5 hours while she was receiving her treatment. My heart goes out to this lady.

And it looks like your spelling of it is simply one word, so I don't know how someone would get the Secret Santa initials, being two S's, confused with that. Been stating that abbreviation on multiple videos since they started posting the SS videos years ago and had never gotten any sort of comment/reply on it till this lady. Seeing that she never got back to me anyhow, I don't plan on changing anything. We all know who I'm referring too. But thanks for your input/insight.

Our family made tamales yrs ago after my dad lost his job. It's how we survived for yrs. My mom's recipe and attention to detail made our tamales pretty well known. So we became "tamale snobs" . Those tamales look yummy!
I think her prayer at the gas station got me more than anything. Proof that heartfelt prayers are answered. So glad this lovely lady got blessed, it warms my heart every day to see this. Sounds like they'd been planning this for more than a few days so it was more of a coincidence. I'd imagine she prays to god for things a lots and 99% of those prays don't get answered.

She reminds me of my mom so much,she had to struggle on her own raising 4 kids and selling tamales to support us and walking me and my brothers to school everyday and putting food on the table,it would hurt me seeing her cry sometimes because we didn't have good shoes or clothes but she did what she can to clothe us. I wish I could do this for her one day maybe even buy her a house

FYI Secret Santa, i open my RUclips app EVERYDAY just to check if there's a new uploaded video. just like today 11minutes ago posted,and I'm here. Lol. When there's none, I just watch videos from years back again and again.
I put on notifications of this chanel every year around halloween and wait for the uploads. When secret santa is back to the northpole I turn them of again because I don't feel the need of news from idaho when I live all the way in Europe but I love the secret santa editions. They are wonderful.

What an amazing woman! Thank u Secret Santa for helping her! My heart goes out to ppl w/ medical bills. The healthcare system is severely broken. After a teen smashed into my car, I went to ER for exrays of my neck. I was ok, thankfully. So, get this, the medical bill, for NO TREATMENT was $56 thousand! My insurance covered 25k, the person who caused the wreck had no liability insurance, so the balance on the bill was, or is mine.
