I reckon an oilier fish like salmon or mackerel might produce more oil than the trout perhaps? Good idea....and making good bushcraft use of something that would normally just be wasted....just needs tweaking to make it work!
Makerel may be a better option or sea fish in general 😅
love the use of the sticks a great and i love a nice bit of trout i would use a oilier fish like asrdines or mackrel
