I think it's incredible when you listen to someone like Amy Winehouse and you think you've heard all of her songs before, but then a song comes on through shuffle that you haven't heard before and you get to listen to her voice for that first time again and it just knocks you off your feet with a soul warming wave of emotion. Amy was such a genuine sweetheart. Anytime she performed a duet with anyone she always gave it her all out best despite any struggles she may have been going through at the time. She didn’t always treat herself so well in her own shows. I don’t think she really knew how great she was.
Thank you for all the kind words regarding this post , Amy will be forever remembered for her music and her family and friends who believed in her ..she was 22 years old when she done this amazing performance ..Mitch and Janice were there also .. it was a truly amazing performance and she is sadly missed
Just revisiting this stunningly beautiful corner of the internet. Amy's 'play with fire' @ 0.40 will never grow old. Nor will the expressions at that moment on the faces of both Paul and Jools who knew they were in the presence and part of something so exceptionally profound. I will never stop missing her.
Everything about the performance was on point. Jaw droppingly great. Amy Winehouse's vocals and timing, Paul Weller's relaxed brilliance, that sax solo and the whole sound on the big band - shades of Nelson Riddle on Sinatra. I'll shut up now but honestly - utterly top drawer start to finish.
Totally agree. Amy was a class act. FS was her favourite singer, her debut album was named after him. Speaking of Frankie/Nelson, check out "Seattle "57". It is the only onstage recording of them available. In stereo too! It wipes the floor with "Live At The Sands".
Her exquisite talent, so massive it couldn't be contained. The world was rationed her brilliance for a limited time but it burned so bright, people will be stunned forever. Jools is an absolute British legend too.
Wow never heard this before it’s just beautiful Paul Weller’s voice is just amazing And Amy’s is God given This is master class She was up there with Billy Holiday & any other great singer past or present You could not get better than this The soulfulness in her was just sensational

So sad that she is no longer with us. Such rare talent that still sends chills to my spine. 🥲
Sung with heart.
Amys voice is heartbreaking and beautiful.... Weller just looks on in admiration...
Amy Winehouse: She worships at the altar of jazz and becomes a goddess herself.
👏🏻👍🏻
04.22 the look of admiration on Weller's face. Stunning version. Definitely one of the best ever performances on Jools Holland....if not THE best.
Yes amazing me and husband danced to this in our living room ew yer sadly lost 5yers ago 2 a brain tumour 52 years old to young 3 kids one so 2 daughters i died on my daughters birthday 29th October we are so glad he was in our lives x
Amy, a truly fabulous artist with great support from Paul, Jools and that fabulous saxaphone player who deserves a public credit for his contribution to a classic. I come back to this magic over and over.
I recall the sax player before, anyone remember his name?
That's the great Mike "Bammie" Rose on sax
It is Art Themen
I have heard very few people in my life who can deliver a song with the understanding and soul that Amy Winehouse could. Genius.
When she looks in to the camera and puts out her hand, ah my heart
She was an artist with a voice to match the old R&B artists. Such a sad loss. And sorely missed.
Amy was such a genuine sweetheart. Anytime she performed a duet with anyone she always gave it her all out best despite any struggles she may have been going through at the time. She didn’t always treat herself so well in her own shows. I don’t think she really knew how great she was.
Two legends, in harmony with a fantastic backing band, music doesn't get better than this .....RIP Amy ❤
Thank you for all the kind words regarding this post , Amy will be forever remembered for her music and her family and friends who believed in her ..she was 22 years old when she done this amazing performance ..Mitch and Janice were there also .. it was a truly amazing performance and she is sadly missed
Total Property Repair and have repairs off to the
Just wow ...amazing just sanding x
I miss Amy Winehouse more and more each day. There will never be another! Her voice is one of a kind. Rest Easy Amy.
She was amazing
Just brilliant...❤❤❤👌🇿🇦
Even Weller can't keep his eyes off of her, what a crying shame she's gone. She had it ALL!!!!!!!!
Yea weller knows
Everything about the performance was on point. Jaw droppingly great. Amy Winehouse's vocals and timing, Paul Weller's relaxed brilliance, that sax solo and the whole sound on the big band - shades of Nelson Riddle on Sinatra. I'll shut up now but honestly - utterly top drawer start to finish.
Totally agree.
Amy was a class act. FS was her favourite singer,
her debut album was named after him.
Speaking of Frankie/Nelson, check out "Seattle "57".
It is the only onstage recording of them available.
In stereo too! It wipes the floor with "Live At The Sands".
Ms Winehouse was a major, unbelievable talent, for sure. That whole performance, from everyone there, was first class.
That sax solo sure moves the molecules.
She was in awe of the sound

What do u mean exactly
Some bloody talent here, Amy looks so in control
john robertson totally agree she'd done this before with Paul and she was so at ease and in her zone
Cant talk, lost for words.
She always makes me cry.
Her exquisite talent, so massive it couldn't be contained. The world was rationed her brilliance for a limited time but it burned so bright, people will be stunned forever. Jools is an absolute British legend too.
Oh, Amy…
Her virbrato is so hella smooth! And her little clap at the end is just so adorable!
Good music goes right to our core. Every single person is GOOD on this one.
This sent shivers down my spine. Utterly beautiful.
Hi Ryan how are you doing and how was your day. I'm Patti from Long Beach California. You? I'm looking for new friend ok!
Wow never heard this before it’s just beautiful
Paul Weller’s voice is just amazing
And Amy’s is God given
This is master class
She was up there with Billy Holiday & any other great singer past or present
You could not get better than this
The soulfulness in her was just sensational
Magical collaboration here. They both sang this beautifully..
Pure genius. Amy. What a wonderful talent taken from us way too soon. Paul Weller and Jools' band are out of this world.
WOW. I have never seen someone steal a show like that. Oh my gosh this was so stunning I got FULL body shivers and also cried. Just wow wow wow
When we come to celebrate amy sadly passing away, this should be released as a single .period .
No1 all over it ✌❤
The best of the internet.. We get to keep gems like this forever.
Most people at her age tend to not understand the different feelings they have amy seems to be able to recognize an put them into coherent expression is that what we call a old soul
Amy out did herself. What a singer. There will never be another one like her. It's a shame she's gone. This by far was her best performance
I watch this often. Bless her.
every time i listen to her preforming live i get chills. she evokes so much emotion i feel like i’m going to start crying whether from joy or sadness
She is mesmerizing and Jools Holland always has such a great band.
One of the best performances I have ever seen. Simply breathtaking.
Hi David how are you doing and how was your day. I'm Patti from Long Beach California. You? I'm looking for new friend ok!
The best female songwriter of all time , the best voice of this century.
An incomparable talent , there is nothing close to her around now.
The bloke singing with her is not bad either ))
Daithe, for your information, he's our (Britain's) national treasure and the veritable Modfather, with a stellar career spanning four decades from the late Seventies to present; one that encompasses the angst of post-punk and sophistication of soul and jazz. A brilliant, brilliant word- and tunesmith.
@@nigelfelixcheongde2980 SORRY but he himself said that Marriot is the Modfather , maybe you have a superficial reading of musical history ??The mod era was in the sixties and claiming a retro figure like weller (we share the admiration ) as the Modfather is not on.Weller is right , the Modfather was steve Marriot
@@nigelfelixcheongde2980 Just what I was going to say about Weller's talent! Goes on about Amy being the greatest female songwriter of all time/the best voice this century tthen says THAT BLOKE isn't bad either...wtf
Daithe de paore If you Google The Modfather, Paul Weller is the first up. He never asked for this title but had it bestowed upon him by the media and music press. Either way, he was the one who led the Mod resurgence in the ‘70s and became a cultural icon to an entire generation. I see your point but Weller is to this day the Modfather to millions.
Her voice was so natural, effortless and beautiful! Great singer!
So horribly sad we lost such a talented singer. What a combo here. True Blues here.
i hate that she is gone.
paranoidandroid1997 me too 😭😭
Who don't..
@@CDLANEY1520 lol dude u can not choos how you look...god.....
@@CDLANEY1520 but...you said she was nasty. that means ugly and disgusting like I know..
Blame her dad for keeping her out of rehab to cash in on her voice 😡
Just revisited this and am choked. What a special gift she had. I wonder if Paul looks back on this as one of the highs of his career?
Lost count of the number of times I've watched this. What a beautiful talented lady so sadly missed
I love her deeply.
12 years passed. never gets old.
It’s been 7 years, so was 6 when you wrote this
smithywhufc100 the video lmao
@@smithywhufc100 I think s/he meant the performance? This was clearly 2006-2007 ish.
My God that whole thing was beautiful.
Hi Sam how are you doing and how was your day. I'm Patti from Long Beach California. You? I'm looking for new friend ok!
This is one of my favorite performances of Amys. Just perfect.
She was the absolute best
