I like how Monica says when she came out & it was the 3, Monica, Brandy, & Aaliyah, & girls around their age at that time could relate to something about all 3 of them. That's so true, I'm the same age as Brandy so I looked up to these 3, loved them & their music, & there was something about each of them I could relate to. I like how Monica never forgets to mention Aaliyah to, Monica came out in the 90's while Aaliyah was here so she knows how big Aaliyah was at that time to. She always pays respect to Aaliyah, if any young kid who's never heard of Aaliyah, heard Monica mention her name, they can look her up & see what an amazing artists she was. I still love Monica & her music, same with Brandy & the late Aaliyah.

mya isn't even in the same category as Brandy , Aaliyah and Monica. They were all waay more successful and popular than her back in the 90's. Mya had a good lil run but she didn't have the big commercial success that the three of those ladies had.

Monica struggles kinda hard to put herself in the same category of Aaliyah and Brandy but she wasn't there. Her music and style were not so innovative and groundbreaking. She was popular among conservative african american demographics but worldwide?! Nuh. No shade, I'm a fan, some of her songs are my favs, but I just state facts.
