I’ve had Lupus since the age of 18. I’m 71 now and there and my life has been good. Every time I thought I was done for new treatments came along. Tell your Mom to follow her doctors orders and you’ll be so much better.

Tim, your Mom is beautiful. I got diagnosed in 2014 when I was 54. It had been in remission since my 20s. I was terrified. I took chemotherapy, lost my hair…I will tell you prayer and family support is important for you and Mom. I have a daughter nearby and she’d visit often, go grocery shopping for me, laundry etc. Read up on the type of lupus Mom has. Some affect only the skin, etc. I have the most serious type and it effected my kidneys. Following doctors orders is key. I’ve had no major issues since. Also there is a Lupus RUclips channel. Try to educate yourself about how the disease effects folks differently. I’ll continue to pray for you, Mom, and the rest of family. We’re all here to support you. ❤

Your mom is beautiful without hair. I hope you can accept that. My hair has mostly fallen out due to an autoimmune disease. My husband has supported me through all of my health problems. You and your siblings can support your mom also. She will make it through with your support for a long time.

Your mother is beautiful! I know how you feel, though. My mother went through chemotherapy during COVID, and when her hair started to fall out, she just shaved it off. When I saw her afterward, it finally hit me that my mom was sick. It broke my heart, and I cried a lot as well. It's so hard to see and watch. And since it was during COVID, I couldn't go near her. Six feet apart. I would come home from work, change my clothes, and put on a mask just to stand six feet away from her. She's doing amazing now, thank God, and when I was finally able to get closer to her, I hugged her for a good three minutes straight. Your mom seems like a strong woman, just like mine, and I know she'll make it through her treatments in battling lupus. It's not gonna be easy to watch her do it, but the important thing is that you stay strong for her. Moms are tough, but I'm sure it breaks them to see us hurting over them. However, it's good that you allow yourself to show your emotions to your family because it's healthier than to just bottle them up. It's okay to cry. It's okay to get angry. It's okay to be happy. It's okay to not be okay. I'm sending all the positive vibes to you and your family. And I hope you find your father soon. I can't imagine what that must feel like, and I do not want to ever find out. Stay strong and stay positive.

My twin is very very sick and it is most definitely like it’s happening to me and I pray for God to put it on me all the time. You are not alone. And your mama is so beautiful ❤

I don't have lupus but I do have an autoimmune disease. You're right, each person reacts differently. I've got a few friends who suffer from Crohn's. Each one reacts to different treatments differently.
However, one thing is for certain. You can't give into the stress. I know that sounds like fortune cookie advice but it's true. Learning to deal with stress in a healthy way (yoga, meditation, prayers, walks in the park, riding a bike, writing in a journal, whatever!) is 85% of the battle. Another 10 % is diet and exercise and the last little bit is meds.
You got this. Your mom has got this. So long as you remember the strength you have as a family, y'all got this. And when in doubt, look back at all the people behind y'all sending prayers, good thoughts and emotional support y'all's way. Find strength in those around you. ❤❤

The way you feel when someone is suffering is called empathy, and from the years that I’ve been following you, that’s definitely the kind of person you are. I am going through a family member battling an illness and I definitely let out a loud weeping cry the other night. It’s been a trying time . One of the hardest times in my life . Praying for you. I couldn’t imagine seeing my mom without her hair and having lupus. My prayers go out to you and your family🙏🏾 currently in the hospital with my loved one right now .

You know I started watching you during 2020 and that was the year that my mom passed away... And your channel along with a couple others is one of the channels that would give me positivity and laughter and bring my mood up when I needed it. Your channel means a lot to me because of that. You do a lot for people without even realizing it just through your open and positive spirit. So of course, we are all going to be here for you when you are going through it. Everybody has trials in life... When you do, you give it to God. These hard times are things you go through and you come out the other side better than when you came in to them. It's hard when you're in them and you don't know why you're having to go through them. But someday you will know. Everybody is right... Your mom is beautiful even with no hair. Congratulations on being fully engaged in this human experience, and being 100% real and open. I share the same as others are saying - you don't need to apologize for any absences. We see you and support you. Your mental, emotional and physical health and well-being are most important. You're actually showing everyone what it means to prioritize your health. Bravo! And it is also hard and challenging to be a spiritual being in this human world too. There are always lower forces that want to take away our attention. This is the work. You're faith is strong and we can lean into it and let it strengthen us even more, especially when it get tough. The light is always with us and in us, and we have lots of spiritual support around us. Just ask our guardian angels and ancestors of love and light for help and they give it always. With our hearts full of love for the world, we can overcome anything. This is the way of an Empath too, one whose senses are open to the world and feel the vibes of what's happening around them. Cherish that. Empaths also have to really take care of themselves, resting and eating well, recharging their energy, and being sober and grounded and clear-minded. There's a quote I used to see a lot by Mother Teresa where she said, "God never gives us more than we can handle. But I just wish he didn't trust me so much." When we're given a lot to deal with, we can remember God and our Spiritual Family of light is with us and we can persevere. Much love and light to you and your family, keep persevering 🙏💙🙏

I have a chronic illness and am in various online groups of people with chronic illnesses. It is quite rare that people show so much care for a chronically ill family member. Especially if its an invisible illness or rare or undiagnosed illness. It is beautiful that you care so much for your dear mom and want to carry the pain for her.
My brother was diagnosed with Lupus over 20 years ago. I’m praying for you and your family!

Lupus is a difficult diagnosis. Prayers for your family.
Feel what you feel. It hits different when it's your mother too. You got to focus on you now. Doesn't mean you don't care about all that's going on but you can't lose yourself in it either. Don't bottle it up.
Make sure to talk to someone regularly about how you're feeling about everything that is going on. There is nothing wrong with talking to a therapist or you can talk to a pastor or just among your family and if speaking on your platforms helps, continue to do that too. Keep praying and trusting God, we will keep praying for you and your family. I'm sure your mom appreciates all that you're able to do for her even if you think it's not much or insignificant. I'm sure she is proud of you all and wants you to keep doing what makes you happy. Beautiful photo of her!💕

Keep loving up on her and help her with whatever she doesn't have the strength to do around the house. Make or bring meals for her. Do her laundry. Pray with her. I am so sorry that you havent yet heard from your father and have no idea where he is. Hang tight to the family you do have around you.

The school of life is always giving us assignments and test in order for us to utilize the tools that we have since birth. It is going through these challenges that we grow and evolve as human beings. Go through your emotions, but don't get stuck on that, life goes on, we go on stronger and better than before. We never should say why me or why them. Life is life and if we ask why me or why them means that you desire it on someone else, which is not what you mean. The fact that you talking about the challenges in your family is a good step towards coping and healing. Twin seek counseling to help you sort your feelings and to learn coping techniques. Hang in there. Prayers for you father. Your mother will get through it. My dad has a form of lupus where he lost patches of hair. He still lives a normal life and no pain from this type of lupus, its more or less a condition that is not life-threatening in most cases. Don't give up on what you love doing, life happens and this too shall pass thus said the Lord.
