- An authentic interpretation of the iconic design, without either a date window or a power reserve display, the Big Pilot's Watch 43 features a 43-millimetre stainless steel case for enhanced ergonomics and wearability. Powering the Big Pilot’s Watch 43 is the IWCmanufactured
82100 calibre. When fully wound, the mainspring stores 60 hours of power. The movement has been elaborately decorated with circular graining and can be observed through a sapphire glass back.

@@iwcwatches IWC is becoming my favorite brand. I think you really mastered the art of simplicity and pure form, for example in Pilot and Portugieser lines, and I really think that beauty lies in simplicity. Keep it up, you are doing a terrific job!
IWC is doing sooo many things right at the moment! The new pilot watches look great, have good case sizes, excellent bracelets, fantastic dial colors and in-house movements without exploding in price. After the iconic Portuguese line was updated last year, IWC’s two flagship collections are better than ever before. I can’t wait to see an updated Aquatimer collection soon that would become the third iconic collection for the brand.
IWC is really stepping it up with updates to dials, sizes, and in-house movements. I expect there will an exciting few years ahead for IWC and their customers :)

Congratulations on what My very personal opinion considers your best offering. I'm buying one again and now keeping it.
2 questions on the leather strap: 1)why does the clasp not sit under the wrist but on the side and 2) why have the straps loop towards the body and not away like most other straps.
would be nice if there's a heritage version for this model

I once owned a BP, sold it due to the size is too big for my wrist, and I've been dreaming for a smaller "big" pilot for a long time seriously, but when I saw this new release, great case size but I just don't like the silver hands, although I know it's inspired by the 5002, but imo the black hands sings better with the 5004(5009/5010) kind of font, so I guess I will just keep on waiting for the heritage version which with heated blue hands and sand blasted case.

Does it offer the same magnetic resistance like the 46mm closed case back models?
Doubt that. From what I have read its got some silicon components although not a hairspring as there are still patent issues. I think once they run out, future models should be completely anti magnetic with all critical components made of anti magnetic material like silicon.

I think IWC should keep old 46mm , date , power reserve ,soft iron case model also as there vintage model as we are big fan of that

Only those who can’t afford it will worry about prices, because they can’t pay their bills and meals if they buy something they can’t afford. Go enjoy your Oris. Leave IWC to us instead.
