Great video, really appreciate it. Just picked up a low mile transmission to swap into my tundra. Did you ever upload a video of the transmission fluid fill?
I was looking for a How-To video to remove the 5.7L Tundra transmission. I might be doing it some time in the future and I think while I'm there, might as well replace the starter with a new one?
We have a 2008 tundra 238K miles-transmission is jerking into drive sounds like it slams into gear- what are ghe options with this model? Can it be rebuilt ? Or does someone offer rebuilt transmissions? Need tomknow my options
@@mikericejacksonville4339 yes, they can be rebuilt, but we did not do that at the dealership. You could reach out to a local transmission shop for options or buy a used transmission from a wrecker. You could also buy a rebuilt from Toyota, but it’s fairly pricey.
@@seanpresto5111 hi, the transmission has a coolant to ATF heat exchanger on the side. Maybe you could unbolt it from the transmission and work around it without draining the coolant or removing the hoses, but I’ve always done it the way I show it the video.
@@Viktor_G_Automotive have you ever rebuilt one of these? Ive rebuilt a chrysler rfe transmisison b4 but this is a totally different beast. Its got alot going on inside

Hello Victor, Quick question about AC compressor replacement on 2008 Lexus RX 350. Can I have the shop evacuate the system then drive the vehicle home so I can replace the AC unit and then drive it back to the shop to recharge the system? Or is driving the vehicle with empty refrigerant ruin the new AC unit? Thank you, I am just trying to save some money on labor.
@@bb5op585 it’s fine as long as you don’t use A/C. I’d disconnect the magnetic clutch wire at the compressor just to make 100% sure it won’t turn on with no refrigerant in it.

Can I ask why you drained the coolant? Maybe I skipped through the spot where you explained. Seems like an extra step for no reason
