Sarah, sometimes the most important tool in your toolbox is your check book! Getting the TT professionally painted is a great idea. Love your video’s and this channel.
I watch SOOO many rebuilding Channels. And the thing that often drives me bonkers, is seeing the mess, and dirt, and leaves, and gunk....while they work away.. Watching someone clean, as they work.... brings a level of joy, that is very difficult to explain!!
Yeah, Sarah takes it to a bit of an excess but when I was watching the Matts Offroad Recovery folks bring in and start disassembling their Cherokee for a major structural rework without having pressure-washed off the dried-mud I was mildly disgusted. I mean, I don't expect the undercarriage to be clean enough to eat off of, but they were literally having dirt clods hit them on their faces as they were disassembling with it up on the lift.
@@TWX1138 i saw that and wondered why someone did not wash the car and pressure wash under it before tearing the bottom stuff off.. your weld quality goes way up when your not welding mud and sand.
Another comment from me….Ive watched your videos almost from Day 1 and deep down, I’d love to see you & Charlie making videos together. I know its a stretch but the chemistry is there. It’s would be a MEGA channel to watch! I love you guys!
Nice to see you and Charlie working together. That's where I started watching you so it feels familiar. Thanks for another great video. You make my days!
I totally understand why you’re putting Teeter Tot in the paint shop, rather than doing it yourself. I’d love to see a little bit of footage of the painting though. I love watching that.
It's great to see you and Charlie working together, knowing you've had a thing in the past. My condolences to him for losing his dog. Good idea "outsourcing" the TT and "Focusing" on the job at hand. Btw, most manufacturers stamp every little part with their name. And so true about sometimes looking beyond your comfort zone and trying something that's different. You can learn a lot that way, just by seeing different perspectives.
I've never said it before but Charlie is awesome. He's an amazing occasional or permanent addition to the channel. You guys get shit done together, that's so bad ass.
Hey chica when I'm drilling spot welds with that style cutter I like to center punch it then predrill with an 1/8 in bit so that pushy end doesn't walk and it makes the cutter last longer too(no straying)
I don’t think your cars are junk and they are the reason most of us came in in the first place. Sir Cosworth Is my favorite car you have!!! You’re doing a great job!! Thanks!
There is something to be admired in working on a project car for a long time rather than the usual RUclips thing of finishing something in a few weeks and then never seeing it again. I'm sure there's plenty of us viewers who remember the original TT roadtrip with the Fragrant Little Sarah where the car was an utter wreck, perhaps once it is all painted there can be the reverse journey.
What else can I say Sarah, Girl, you are the Best. I rate your channel number one on RUclips. Great content, great skill and great Humor. You're Awesome.
No worries about fire in a vacuum cause everybody knows you can't start a fire in a vacuum...(eyes rolling), it's physics! Super progress and Sir C is looking great! -=Doug
Great work Sarah... A couple of safety points always have your safety glasses on when operating equipment in the shop or hammering or anyting else there creates energy also keep a respirator handy while doing all that sanding and lose the jewelry... watches and rings are a great way to lose a finger or have a hand pulled into a machine Also find some sawhorses to elevate your work instead of crouching on the floor...it'll save your back and knees in the long run 'Nuff said, Keep up the great work Sarah love every bit of what you do and we just want to see you stay safe and healthy.
Getting into flipping cars has been huge for learning to love cars I never did before and learning new things. I had a Fiat Abarth for a couple months and that was one of the funnest cars I've ever driven. Period. It also sold for $1200 over asking because two people wanted it. 👍✌
You should make a table on coaster wheels to roll into the shop so you can work on pieces like this top more securely and easily Sarah. coaster wheels that lock of course. just a suggestion.
I'd suggest just getting one of those five-wheel dollies that goes on the underside of the large Rubbermaid trash cans. I use that in my shop often as I have to pull the whole skidplate to do the oil change on my wife's Renegade.
Thanks to Charles for the help! Sarah your fun too watch as explain all the details of how to install, prep, and rebuild your vehicles. Unless you have a time limit on finishing your projects don't rush, I'm enjoying your content.

@@SarahnTuned I feel ya. It’s not just the repetitive objectifying comments, although those suck, but attracting enough of them means you get a way bigger chance of running into the percentage who will harass, or stalk, which is just so stressful. Not worth whatever amount of extra viewers.
Last comment was 2 years ago? I am rally enjoying the series :P, what a giant job. One of my dreams is to do exactly what you are doing, with exactly that car, I have too many projects so watching you do it is awesome! (I have a Mk3 Focus) and you are cleaning and painting everything nice, the way to go! No one is mentioning how beautiful and funny you are! love your attitude and your personality, always smiling. Thank you for your hard work, you are a joy to watch! :)
Very interested in this SVT Slocus build. IMO, the Svt was/is one of the most underrated hot hatches and because most of them just rotted out they have been largely forgotten.
I learned to appreciate them the night one left me like I was tied to a stump. I only thought the 09 HEMI Ram I had at the time was fast but it was also HEAVY.
I’m late to the party having only just found your channel but just wanted to say I am loving the content and the presentation style / information, great to see a strong, intelligent and witty female lead in an otherwise male populated space 🙌🏻🙏🏻
It's so awesome that you have other people in your video alot the other auto RUclipsrs refuse to take the camera off themselves and your right you do everything by yourself 🤟😎
You are very determined to get another one o your projects forward on this ford Focus. Look forward to seeing you drive the MR2 once the tuning has been done
Awesome reference to fallout 4, you're the best!!! I like a lot all your videos and all the hard work and love that you give to all your cars, greetings from Mexico.
You mentioned stepping out of the comfort zone... well I did. I'm a BMW fan. There's three in my drive and wanted to build a simple e30 rally car. Then a friend showed me a Impreza coupe from the 1990's. I told him I would look but only for a few months. I did locate some with horror-rust around the wheel wells. If I can't find anything I'm going back to the e30 hunt. Looking forward to seeing the Focus build. Keep rocking!
Wow that was a lot work ! I have a '92 chevy 1500 p/u( it's an original white 454SS ) that the original owner unwisely added a crappy aftermarket sunroof to. At least now I know what's involved to do it right. By the way, your videos are awesome !
Another great video! It's fun to watch these projects get done Especially, cars I wouldn't think of owning myself. And, your sense of humor around all the things is great!
Massive progress in 1 vid! 👏🏻 Focus is coming along nicely. As someone else mentioned, I can see you between stages vacuuming the interior as part of your tech session. 😉😂👍🏻
Yeah, there absolutely are ways to track down owners based on part serial numbers, that's what most of the qr codes you find are essentially for. It's all in a manufacturer database, tied to the vin of the car it went on, that way they can issue recalls on specific cars if there's a problem. Did you find the dumpster baby in your quarter panel?
Cool video Sarah, lots of good progress and content! Your table grinder needs the word Believing added to Don’t Stop! 😀. What in the world are you going to do when you actually go rallying and your interior really gets dirty? 🛁. Cleaning for days!
Sarah needs a few work tables and a course on ergonomics. Everything needs to be a practical working height while stranding. This is very important especially for a tall girl like her. We have to keep her healthy and doing videos well into her 50's.
Sarah once you've finished your Rally car I think you should attend a rally school in Wales. It would be an epic episode. Keep up with the fabulous vlogs. 😊👍
Talking about skin. Sarah, I just noticed some colorful details on your tattoo i,e, a bird and a bridge? What is the significance? When I was active duty in USAF Med Corps in Mississippi, England, PAFB, and deployed during Desert Storm, Qatar, Kuwait, GITMO, Korea, and OIF/OEF, I treated patients/casualties with tattoos of their spouses and childrens hand prints below the ribcage, others had their SSN on the waist, and others signatures of family members on their forearms and shoulders. I always told myself that I would take a picture of the tattooed area, and write a book with a story titling it "An Illustrated Life." I never got around to it.
A suggestion for two tools to buy: 1) Assumming you you already have a 4 or 4-1/2 inch angle grinder, buy a cup wire wheel for it,. A cheep (harbor freight ?) sand blaster, the kind for light duty use with a 1-2 Qt sand capacity, around $20 to $30.. yes you will have to refill it often, but that gives your air compressor time to catch up. If you can find a cheep used pop tent the kind that is hung from an external frame. you can use that as your sand-blasting booth.
I love what you’re doing with this car! There was an SVT 5 door for sale locally that I wanted, but I don’t have the resources or time to do what you are. Keep it up!
