    Yes it should be possible,if you undo the beauty rigs ( cover over the objective lens) you should be able to get to the retaining ring that secures the objective lens into the body

    Hello! Are you still in business? I want to repair an 6x30 Voigtländer Dienstglas, the right focuser is damaged, lenses are intact. It has some dents, so removal procedure is no longer possible. Is there any other option?

    Is there any place that you can get screws to replace ones that have been damaged. Recently bought a pair of Dainglas binos but several of the screws have been damaged on the top. Thanks for the excellent videos

    Hello Sir! I recently bought a pair of Carl Zeiss Jena Deltar 8x40 binoculars. They are in serviceable shape but could use some cleaning. There is some mystery white substance on the eyepieces and middle section that seems to be preventing me from flexing the binos. Any help would be much appreciated!

    My problem is, that I can not turn the diopter because it only moves a few millimeters and wont move any further, how do I fix that?
    Maybe the grease is old and porous?
    Edit: I have found the problem. The threads where the diopter cap screws on are damaged... hopefully I will find some replacement parts for it.

    • @willinghamful
      @willinghamful  5 лет назад

      Hi you need to remove the diopter completely you should see a ring below the knurled part of the diopter,this normally has markings on it,it can be separated from the main body of the diopter,hold this ring firmly and turn the diopter clock wise ( it's a left hand thread so it will undo)

    • @willinghamful
      @willinghamful  5 лет назад

      Once you have removed the diopter you can take out the 3 retaining screws wipe out all the old grease and replace it

    Hello there. I have a question - do horizontal reticle pattern ( netting ) is inside the the right lens , or deeper inside the binoculars. ( Sorry for my English, hope You understood ).

    Hello,
    I have the problem that the left ocular of my service glass doesn't moves the mechanics etc. in the inside of the glass when turned. It is strange, but when I pull the ocular a little bit, sometimes the system works and I can sharpen the glass a little bit, but if I adjust more it fails again, as if the system works only on tiny spots ... also i am unfortunately not able to open the ocular right now because this (anti-clockwise) "scala-part" is very very tight and I can't separate it from the other part of the ocular ...

    How much would it cost to have the internals cleaned profesionally?. I have a pair of my grandads mark 2 1941 Kershaw binoculars he used in Burma. Going to have to replace the eye cups and there is a bit of fungus(I think) on the lense but otherwise good condition.

    • @willinghamful
      @willinghamful  10 лет назад +1

      Hi,
      I think most charge between £60 -80,as they were used in Burma they may well have fungus from the humid conditions,this can be fixed,the eye cups you can replace with modern repro ones,these I believe can be found on ebay for a few quid,

    • @airefc
      @airefc 10 лет назад

      Thanks. Had a look on ebay and found these,
      www.ebay.co.uk/itm/220739591576?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
      I think they are the correct ones?
      What I think is fungus is black mouldy fuzzy looking dots/marks, its in need of cleaning but dont think id have the confidence doing it myself.
