At this level you don't see anything you think is that good... Maybe, could it possibly be Alpay that YOU are the top level artist? And while you can't see art that amazes you - already you're at the top of that mountain, it's lonely at the top...
I rewatched part 1 for multiple times now and i started watching all the other videos as well because i feel so inspired and absolutely love your way of painting. As an artist myself i look up to Artists like you and gives me the inspiration to create things and go for bigger things as an Artist. Thank you for documenting your process! It helps a lot of us!
Oh my gosh, I thought it was just my "uncultured" brain that thought those very same thoughts about some of the more elite art shows. I feel so much better! GRIN!
Without knowing the background story of this painting, it's like she encountered her lover from another past. My interpretation. Great picture, love it. Sehr gut Alpay 😊👍
i loooove the painting and i'm so happy you didn't change the background because for me, the colour and texture gave the entire painting more definition and is a really lovely contrast. And for your next project, you should definitely do a giant movie scene or an anime painting with the paint you show a while ago, that poster paint.
@@AlpayEfei came here to say the exact same thing as the above. I was taught to do my first wash of paint as though it was the final, doesn’t always work, but when i saw you lay the yellow down i was like, thats it!
Mythology is always a great subject! I think your way of representing it was beautiful, a great choice of colors too. Please post something of your show, I really would like to know about it, how many, which ones and why did you choose... Thanks for sharing
So enthralled throughout this journey ! Everything came together spectacularly ,especially the painting ! This may sound a bit nuts but, so grateful you exist in the art world .
The painting is stunning, you are awespiring I love watching you and listening to your fresh and personal way of looking at things and the world. Would love to see the exhibition please. Can’t wait to see what you go with next for your passion project.
Esa pintura me fascina tiene mucho valor expresa mucho , la composición es muy agradable a la vista los colores también ! Te felicito es una verdadera obra de arte!
You are one of the biggest artists in the world, the cream of the crop as you referenced. We love you; the world would have been less without you and all artists. I'm a bit taken at the hint of you feeling less confident when you are always amazing! I absolutely love that painting, can't express how much I love it honestly. Wish I could have been one of those lucky people to be there and just happen onto the one and only Alpay Efy, my oh my they were lucky!
I bet you don't need to hear this from me, but you are an incredible artist. You make us love art or simply hate it, just because we want to paint like you, and then realise we can't. However, pretty powerful reactions usually generate the strongest alchemy. Just wanted to let you know about another artist, Valerie Lin. She is very talented, just like you and I follow both of you and find you are like twin souls. She is more on the softer, feminine side of the art she's creating, and you are putting in more rigour and structure in your composition. I am far from considering myself a painter, but you inspired me to introduce the colours back into my life. Thank you! Keep up the good work! 🥰
I like to watch every video on your channel, every video is useful. You are one of the best artists I follow, in terms of your words you are the best person who gives advice,😊 thank you.
Your work always leaves me speechless, and being able to create such a beautiful piece in front of so many people and so much pressure…. Impressive ❤. Also, beautiful location, it reminds me a lot to the location of Art Madrid exhibition, very pretty as well.
The power of “Yes”! What a strange & fabulous experience. Happy you had it & persevered. Was there in May on the way to the Louvre & this building was closed. I really wanted to experience the light, look & feel of it & you gave me as close as I might get, thank you. And yes, love the painting! I like the intimacy, in her holding the swan’s head and the color palette, beautiful!
I love that Art Basel location, so beautiful. It also looks like your work stood out. We have to give it to you, making that beautiful piece even under pressure of time and all those eyes watching.
I have been wondering where you have been and now I understand that you have been crazy busy and doing some amazing things. Well done on keeping up the pace. Love you work and your videos 🙂
Ich liebe Dein Bild. So berührend, sinnlich und zart. Und danke für den Einblick in die Abenteuer Deines Leben. Künstler- und Fan-Grüße aus Mallorca! Sonja 😊✨
What a great painting. Really enjoyed the video and congratulations on pulling off the trip. Also, that is a serious battle ax in the background........lol
I absolutely love the idea of painting characters from video games or anime, but with full bodies and in dynamic action poses! I’ve noticed that most of your work focuses on the face and shoulders, and while it’s amazing, I’d be thrilled to see more of the character’s full energy and movement! Keep up the incredible work - it's truly inspiring!😊
Your work is fantastic, your young and have years to come creating and growing, experiencing what life gives you! You’re so brave and frankly honest commenting your opinions, I love it!!! Thank you for sharing your creative world! 20:12
It's amazing that you where in the right head space to do this. From experience I understand how to switch into a public facing and work mode, but not with creative endeavours. That is quite a thing to do at such a level. Great work as always, regardless of the weird and wonderful distractions :) I'd love to see you take on a classic movie scene. Thinking old school B&W that you add colour to it, as we all do with our imaginations when we watch.
I completely understand what you say about feeling like a superhero. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's the best feeling and helps us to grow and push ourselves even harder next time. Congratulations for surviving a crazy week. Beautiful painting (and I agree, the background is just right!)
I love the romance of this piece. You can feel how the woman is feeling! I love that you kept the background and the water is beautiful. I agree the water’s aspect is very important. This painting has a lot going on in many ways! I love the whole thing.
I definitely love the swan and the gesture of tenderness and trust, while she is holding his face. The face of the girl is too shiny and beautiful... but I miss the feeling .... while the skin texture and the cloth is absoluteley amazing! Like a dream within a dream...thank you for sharing and the inspiration!!!🙌
loved the swan!!!!!! (not goose hahaha). id love to see another portrait! im doing a portrait course online...id love to hear your thought process on the planes of the face as you're painting a portrait (talking about values etc) thank you! .
Oh man, not only are you my favorite artist but now I kind of relate to you! I could not pass science classes in college. And then a couple decades later I took a massage therapist course, knowing it was full of science which understandably scared the heck out of me. But I wanted out of my current career so badly, that I could not say no. I memorized the hell out of all the science, and somehow passed the course! I had some fellow students tell me I was the best massager in the class, got hired right away after graduating and had a great little career! My favorite compliment ever, after a professional massage I’d done was, “Holy shit!” Heeheehee, you were right, sometimes you can really surprise yourself.
Beautiful painting as always. I can't wait to see the next passion project. My vote is the big movie scene if it's the thing you've wanted to do for a long time.
Enjoyed watching this one! So much involved in transporting to and from the event. I think the painting is lovely, but would have painted the background something other than yellow. Perhaps a sky blue with pops of sunset colors (but that's just my preference). She and the Swan are gorgeous! Well done!
About 39 seconds in there is part of a profile painting in the background that is stunning, I don't recall seeing it before but I love it. Actually, I love everything you do. The trip sounds stressful and terrifying...maybe I'll stop lamenting my lack of talent.
I appreciate every project you do and myself being a gamer mom and artist, I would love to see the new Spiritborn class from Diablo 4 on an oversize canvas!!
I would love to see a pigeon painting. I love pigeons and especially the lives of these birds in cities are incredibly hard. They need a better reputation. If I could paint, I would do a whole series of pigeon paintings and sell them to open a pigeon charity.
Glad to see you managed to complete it. It looked amazing in the previous video but the details you added brought it closer to perfection. Great job! If you're interested painting video game related portraits, I can suggest painting something from assassin's creed; it has good lore, detailed character designs and history accurate architecture which would be fun to paint I reckon
Wow, very happy to see you on this new experience, absolutely amazing painting and the job you've done to share that part of your life with us, It's always very interesting to see how creatve people feel and manage to do such things, thanx for sharing that was precious. Anime anime anime that what I'd love to see next time)
The painting is amazing. And you are already too experienced for being bothered by anyone's questions I think. You know exactly how to implement your ideas and plans for your paintings. Me personally getting nervous when someone watching while I'm painting... But honestly Where am I compared to your talent and experience? I would suggest you to paint a giant movie scene.
Such a beautiful piece, I love concept behind it and feel you have depicted it well, I would enjoy seeing another anime inspired painting as I’m defo a fan 😅 perhaps Ghost in the Shell if I’m throwing out ideas? Either way I look forward to it 👍
This painting is really wonderful peace of art you did really good job. I’m also learning to paint skin tones any advice how to effectively layer colours
Beautiful, Magnifique!, It looks like a character from greek mythology. Are your brushes the stiff Hogs-hair type? or Softer sabeline? In reference to future painting, I did like the Video-game box character, keep up the good works!😀
Absolutely loved this 2 part series. You are an amazing artist.Ive watched some vids on art shows at major galleries, and when you said about the shitty art,I thought the same thing What's sad is that some of that sells for huge amounts of $,and there are fantastic artists who actually know how to draw/ paint that will never get noticed. When the guy asked you if that was your girlfriend, you should've said yes,her name is Leda, and that is our pet goose named Zeus😆
Have you read Ulysses by Alfred Lord Tennyson? Good fodder for the imagination. Wonderful painting as always, though considering the story she should be giving the swan a lot of side eye.
What a crazy journey! It came out soooo beautiful. Every new painting becomes my new favourite 😃 And I totally agree with you about these art fairs. I always leave feeling disappointed and slightly angry. Totally uninspiring...
I'm still hoping you end up painting a miniature! I remember you saying a couple of years ago that you were going to do it, and I''ve always been super curious about it. I really want to see what kind of mini you would do.
This painting is one of my favorite of yours. I painted poseidon in the form of a statue two years ago, and i cant seem to finish the canvas. I like its details but not the overall composition. Will you do a video like you did before to give your opinion on our work so I can have the chance to have your opinion. That would mean the world to me.

Phenomenal
Some of the comments did not pass the vibe check, you did great here
If you end up going with anime, Ghibli movies are huge inspirations for me. My favorite is Spirited Away!
Now you know you have to paint that pigeon right!
I'd love to see a tiny painting compared to all the giants one you do. :D
