Stunning rendition. Also really interesting that you chose to depict her as either an older teenager or a young adult. The burgundy for her dresd was a great touch too! Splendid work.
The real Alice, Alice Liddell, who Lewis Carol wrote Alice in Wonderland for was actually a brunette and I imagine she would have looked just like this, at a bit older than we have pictures of her (she's usually about 6 or 7 in photos) but I think you nailed her soul beautifully!
Beautiful rendition!! This is EXACTLY what I needed to watch! Your calm narration put be in the right mood to start my painting Alice In Wonderland painting!! Thank you!
I've been painting since I was 3 years old. I am now 54 and paint every single day. It is rare that I find a painter I love watching. You are awesome. Thanks
The restrain you have to not overdo and overwork things is soo cool mate, if i were you i probably would've over painted or would've went too heavy on the gold paint or something. You just find that sweet spot to finish the piece every damn time and I absolutely love it
This painting just takes my breathe away. I love your interpretation of Alice in wonderland. So elegant and just, so so gorgeous. Been watching your videos for a while and I have just fallen in love with your style of art.
Gorgeous! It seems as though you've captured the 'real Alice' in reverie. Since her 'adventures' all took place in her dreams/imagination, it's as though we're seeing her both in reality (the ceramic rabbit, the realistic model, and the more historical outfit), and getting a peek at what is going on inside her imagination (the flowers growing in a very fairytale-like way around her).
I loved to see your planning process and how Alice turned out! She has such a modern look to her, but you captured the softness and timelessness of her so well - I could see your Alice in a Jane Austen movie too, like you could put her in any time period, modern clothing aside. I don't know how you managed to transform your reference so beautifully, but I'm truly stunned! (Also the repainting stage really made her pop, that was so cool to watch)
This was really insightful. I appreciate getting a chance to "look under the hood" so to speak, to hear about all the thought processes that goes into a work before even a drop of paint hits the canvas.
This painting is absolutely breathtaking. The eyes are what I find the most beautiful here, they look, just the exactly perfect way as I would have wanted as well as a fellow artist. Captures the darkness behind her Wonderland, and as another comment said, her innocence and sadness as I interprete it.
This is wonderful. I’ve been working on my own Alice in Wonderland project (not necessarily a painting) for several months now and have struggled especially with Alice’s character, however I think you’ve brought her to life in the most brilliant way possible. Capturing her childlike personality and innocence, along with her gentle love, this piece of art shows her perfectly. This is a huge inspiration to me, and I thank artists like you for sharing your talents. 💜
This porcelain rabbit is the perfect symbol as it combines the white rabbit and the tea party ❤ the background is stunning! I love every part of this painting!
I admire your work so very much because of the surprise elements, and the fact that you aren't afraid to do things differently. Choppy and elegant, bright and yet tempered, and subtlety make you work step above and shine. My son asked why you hadn't painted the background all the way around Alice's face, and I told him: because you didn't want to! It's what makes your work stand out.
I gotta admit, when you said it was time to tie all the pieces together, my first reaction was “no, not the roller!” (Even though I always love the results)
Kuss geht raus ❤!
🐇 I could even write a novel about this video. I love it. Alice is a very special story to me and I was amazed that you painted her with the term rabbit hole.
i think this has actually no price . art made with soul and love . its priceless. if someone would tell me i can learn to paint like this. i would do this all my life :D so cool
So awesomely beautiful. This wonderful painting alone would inspire a totally different perspective of Alice In Wonderland if taken to film. I would love to see a version based on your painting.
Absolutely loved it. Besides the golden necklace at the end 😅 would have left it without. Love the colours. Might be wrong but for some reason they remind me of neo rauch
I love your choice to do a porcelain rabbit. My grandmother always has had little porcelain animals in her house, and I have always thought there was a mysterious and majestic quality to them.
For the last week or so I've been getting up here in Australia making my coffee opening my laptop to see if you have a new video out yet and boom this morning I get rewarded! Love your art videos and how good it makes me feel to watch, thanks.
Exquisite... Everything about this painting is perfection. I adore Alice in wonderland and I totally see Alice. The little ceramic bunny is devine in its cuteness. Looks like you could touch it and feel the coldness of the ceramic. 🏵🐇🏵
Me liking this video doesn’t fully do it justice. Your paintings inspire me to keep creating art, I love your creative process and style. Even though it’s not the traditional Alice in the wonderland, I personally love this interpretation a lot because you weren’t afraid to try something different!
1:43 and I am totally blown up. Great is a weak word to describe your videos. I was an administrator of FB group where people are selling and presenting their works, but it was a pain and i have to regret. Excuses, such as "everything is an art", or "somebody will like it" are OK, but techniques ... Many people of that group could not understand that even walking needs to be practiced a lot. There are great artist there, but also people who are worse than a few 6y old children I know (not because they are few, but because I know a few only). Your videos are balsam for my soul, thank you very much for them.
Loved seeing the whole process for your stunning interpretation of Alice, the far away daydreamer look was captured perfectly, the porcelain rabbit really was genius. (Loved seeing Simkins on your inspiration board too!)
That is awesome for every artist who have ever done a re creation of this wonderful tail this is simply awesome ❤❤❤❤and very easily explained ❤thank you.
Sublime painting and a really helpful process video. I especially like the stop motion-y bit with the painting of the fowers in the background. A great way to show how you layer your colours and very helpful. I love your content, thanks for sharing 🙏🌟
I absolutely love this! I have always had a connection with Alice in Wonderland. I love your composition, execution and story telling ❤️ Now you have inspired me 💙💚

You captured her innocence, her naiveté, even when departing from classic hair and dress. Wow. You have my deepest respect.
🙏🙏🙏
Innocence, naiveté ?!?
You so french sir !? 😂
Stunning rendition. Also really interesting that you chose to depict her as either an older teenager or a young adult. The burgundy for her dresd was a great touch too! Splendid work.

I love how you reimagined Alice with a ceramic rabbit ! Amazing! 👌🏻🐇

ME TOO!!! 😊
She was worth every second of those 20 days! Beautiful as always.
She is beautiful and the porcelain rabbit is perfect! I always look forward to watching your creative process and stunning end result! 🎉 Cheers!

2:57 "so far, so underwhelming, I would say" I would truly love to give you the gift of seeing this through my eyes, because it's anything but.

Wow! Alice in Wonderland is not my favourite story, but you made her into a very adorable & attractive person. I love it, stunning work!
The balance between music and instruction is amazingly done. ❤❤❤
I am loving this version of Alice so much.😍
Just watching you paint made me remember the days when I used to paint. Totally loved it.
What a great video! your work is so clean and I love how you choose the hues ^^

Stunning painting and the time lapse segment of the flower being painted was fun.
Absolutely loved it. Besides the golden necklace at the end 😅 would have left it without.

that gold is incredible, it really brings the piece to life, looks incredible ❤❤
I adore your rendition of Alice! As well as your accent - it was a delight to listen to for sixteen and a quarter minutes.
I love your choice to do a porcelain rabbit. My grandmother always has had little porcelain animals in her house, and I have always thought there was a mysterious and majestic quality to them.

3:37. It’s interesting how some artists know when to take a break or call it a day. I feel that way sometimes when I paint.
What a triumph this painting is! Stunning!
Bravísimo maestro!!!
Muchas gracias por compartir su arte tan refinado, gracias gracias gracias...
It is gorgeous!
