Thank you for posting this! It’s really helping me get prepared for my exam. I’m particularly impressed by the dancer who stayed in front during the pliés. It’s delightful to watch her performing! Greetings from Brazil!
I’m currently studying grade 6 RAD, and wanted to have a look at some of the higher grades for inspiration. So glad I came across this video. These dancers are a joy to watch and so inspiring. They all have their own strengths and have such beautiful lines. I wasn’t planning to watch the entire 34 minutes but couldn’t not! Thank you for posting, I can’t wait to get back in class X
my ballet teacher passed away recently. This syllabus was the last class I ever took with her, and I haven't danced since, I'd give anything to go back. keep up the beautiful work :)
Me too, I'm going to do intermediate ballet exam on February and I'm a little bit scared and exited, actually this'll be my second exam, because I've been training since grade 2 but I haven't the brave to do an exam before, I hope do it well
Thank you!! But because COVID cases are rising where I am there’s a possibility we won’t make it till march(by not make it I mean we might go into lockdown again😭)
I’ve stopped ballet for three years and now having the courage to continue, I’ll be having my class after my holiday is over. Hope that I can start to enjoy ballet again ❤
You know she got her frappe wrong right? Yeah I know she does have good strength but they were supposed to do 2 of each, front, side and back but at the start she only did one.
@@IsabellaM-ir9nq yeah no shit. she obviously forgot her frappes exercise. your comment is irrelevant since I was complimenting her on RONDE DE JAMBE. & forgetting an exercise doesn’t negate her ability or technique. you replied to a 3 year old comment to say a whole load of nothing
i just finished inter foundation with distinction and wanted to look at the grade ill be doing next year to prepare early in hopes for a better result- thank you for this !!
I did mine in 1989! I still remember some of it, although a lot has changed. Makes me want to do all over again. Having the ability to watch these videos must be so encouraging. Wish I'd had the same opportunities. Keep working everyone!!
My intermediate rad exam is TOMORROW, I'm really stressed out I really want to graduate from ballet, any suggestions from anyone? And thank you for this vid its really helping me study, I'm just going to go over this video over and over again for hours until I have to sleep
@@gabrielaw_5550 I second that! I started ballet at 18. I enjoy it a lot and I see my progress. I just did intermediate foundation and grade 6 and I'm starting to practice for the intermediate level. Just make sure you are doing the movements correctly, specially when you start pointe work, so you don't injure yourself.
I am confused it looks like they are wearing pointe shoes but then they don’t go up fully and look like normal ballet flats, or am i just blind, i even see a shine in them as if pointe shoes
yes, like the other two people in the replies have said, they are called demi pointes, and they are basically soft pointe shoes which you only go up to demi point in
If you don’t mind me asking? What did the girls get? I’m taking mine in three months, and I think I’m similar level to the girl who performed her variation second, and was wondering what kind of grade I may receive!
No you aren’t. For different countries and dance schools, the age is different. For me, I am 12 this year and am taking intermediate. But I know many people from ages 12-17 who are all doing intermediate tho we live in the same country.
@@Jazzy821 because I COULD. And you never asked why I felt this way. If you really wanted to have a conversation about it instead of sounding like the RAD defamation league we could have. It would have helped me to articulate my feelings about the subject and become a better writer.

I applaud the girl who came forward to the front during ronde da jambe exercise. She has great lines & the best technique here imo. Nice work :)

LMAO

They are demi's like a cross between point shoes and flats so you only go on your demi point
They are basically pointe shoes that have the shank taken out and the box smashed. They are used to strengthen your feet
