I found the graphic designer's comments interesting as I used to work as graphic artist myself. Fast or faster, this bike looks like it came from The Future, beautiful!
Very nice bike but I have the impression that the video doesn't tell us much about the bike itself. They talk about paintwork for a minute and barely mention the fork, the rear end and the technical development of the bike. It's a bit of a shame... I'm a canyonist but I found Pinarello's video on Ganna's bike better done.
Marketing is 80% of the success :-) I believe that today technology and bikes are almost the same with minimum difference. But marketing, riders team can sign and bring emotions, results is the key.
I strongly disagree! If the product is shit, not the most marvelous marketing can save that. Canyon always was ahead of its time. I am a Customer since 15 years and bought 3 bikes there. Once I met Hans-Christian Smolik at the Canyon Booth of the Eurobike. Must have been 2004 or so. In the early times of Canyon he was the innovative head and created lots of great prototypes and constructions which also made it to production line. I really admire what Roman Arnold and colleagues created. They not only were innovative in regards to technology but also in regards to the sales channel. They just decided to sell their bikes remotely via the internet instead of having a chain of stores. That was way more cost effective and resulted in a significant price advantage. Not sure if this is still the case as I shifted more towards riding titanium bikes and Canyon does not produce titanium frames. Nevertheless, I still observe what they are doing and still I am fascinated by their innovative solutions.
@macloving3107 I bought a Canyon some time ago, 2010 and am a feel they have lost their way a bit with complaints about long delays, quality control and recalls. As they have expanded the value in buying direct has decreased quite a bit. Also the lack flexibility in changing things like stems etc has become a pain to many
I just wish it would trickle down so that Canyon would offer an aluminum Track bike like they did in 2015… or even the equivalent of a CF SLX to compete with LOOK’s Madison… but it’s too niche I’m afraid… SAVE THE TRACK BIKE 😢
Honestly just an aeroad with a beefed up carbon layout strong enough for sprint efforts would sell like hot cakes. Specialized Allez Sprint Track is a testament to that. It would also get instant collector status amongst the fixed gear crowd.
@@davidkendall4588 Yeah I'm just talking about the bike and I know she won It. It's just like when people saying the Scott Spark RC is the fastest XC bike in the world even though Nino is the one riding it.
She won by an enormous margin. Their pursuit squad definitely underperformed though. Wouldn't surprise me if the bike is fairly middling in terms of aerodynamics on the track
Looks cool and all that.. But I can't help to wonder why the bikes I'm intrested in are & have been out of stock for so long, & who's fixing that problem. I know, its a lot less sexy fixing supply chain issues..
@@CanyonBicyclesto whoever is reading this at CANYON’s: please bring back an aluminum track frame. Or even the equivalent of a CF SLX for track for regular customers, track racers, crit racers and fixie enthusiasts in general… SAVE THE TRACK BIKE 😢
Bro, the price is cheap considering other competition. You should check, what the real Track products cost. Lots of them cost the same just for a frame with fork. Or even without. Let alone double disc, two cockpits, Track Powermeter. If a Porsche 911 was below 10k, I would also consider buying.
@hansdieter4381 they're not planning on selling these to regular people at all. National cycling bodies will be buying them. The Argon 18 is on my possible buy list. Definitely fairly priced considering the quantities they'll be selling them in
@@veganpotterthevegan you can buy one, if you put the money ;) Same like with other hella expensive stuff. But ofc very few people will be able to justify
@hansdieter4381 not really. They're listing it for sale because the UCI requires it to be listed for sale. Many of these Superbikes can't be purchased. From the Hope bike to the FES bikes the Germans ride. Many have tried and they're indefinitely unavailable.
It's gotta be faster at +55kph INDOORS. Low bar to make a bike faster than a triathlon bike that has to hold waterbottles/food, be comfortable for hours and hours and be fast across many wind yaws.
Just make sure you didn't make your bike with different matte / gloss finish on rear and front wheels, like what you did with your new Aeroad CFR and blaming DT Swiss in the process.
@@CanyonBicycles still no response to Twitter message or emails really crappy after sales service, although not surprised looking at reviews. Shame on you I would have expected better from a German company.
those shots inside the low lit velodrome..incredible

They don't plan on selling it anyway. Kinda just made this video for jollies
because it's the same as any other track frameset that is produced in china for $5
Truely a piece of art
Truly a piece of art and as a designer who doesn't normally ride a racing bike, I would hang it on my wall - Just for the appreciation.
ofc u don't, if its not mtb, its gay

How about focusing your attention on getting more bikes available to buy rather than constantly “coming soon” or “out of stock”.
Approved by Hambini.
Still its the rider that makes the true difference.
