I'm in an accelerated bachelor's in IT and a master's in IT management program. I work for my school and they give 75% off tuition for employees. I get paid to go to school and earn 2 degrees at the cost of one degree.

@dolcevita713 Please enlighten me on this. Can AI physically route CAT6 ethernet cables between server rooms? Can AI physically change the hardware and peripherals for an office of 500+ people? Wouldn't people be more aggravated with speaking to a chatbot as opposed to a real person?

Get the book “Designing Your Life.” It really frames up how to do this. Also, do your own research on majors and 10 year pay. Don’t limit your job ideas to your experiences. People make good lives doing jobs you don’t know exist.

It's also good to consider whether she'll want to have children and factor flexibility into her decision making should she decide to stay home. 👍Best to plan out in advance.

I got a Masters in Social Work. I LOVE my career and I make decent money. And it is 1000% my passion! It takes a while to find your passion but if you can, it I worth it.

Don’t choose K-12 teaching! It’s getting worse. I burned out after 7 years. I’m trying to figure out where to go next. Taking Intro to Project Management and procrastinating on a decision.

Its important to be cautious of what's high in demand. Had a friend, when she was in school, there was a high demand for teachers. But a few years later when she graduated, there was lays off for teachers (in CA at leasr), so it took her 2 years before she became a teacher.

Shhhhhh we don’t talk about the art majors.🤐 We let them be happy

    • @mflong100

Funny thing is, every single art major I know is doing well in their careers, paying their bills, saving for retirement, and . . . Are Happy. We really have to stop inserting the “you won’t make any money” bias into the art major conversation.

I'll be honest, I thought this was going to be a list of college majors that align with how do you make money in life. I've been curious to know what college majors teach you about how to invest in stocks and to learn about the economy of the world. I'd prefer to take classes in this or if I'm interested enough in it, to earn a college degree later down the line. If anyone has any suggestions that'd be great and I don't need basic advice like finance or economic majors, what I am looking for is actual class names or what these types of specializations would be called. Or info from other sources such as books, people, places, websites, colleges, professors, etc... thanks 👋
