Went from a 21 Taco 4x4 to my 2020 used Tundra--- Not looking back. Best thing I ever did. Tacoma is a good truck, don’t get me wrong. It just kept coming up short for what we use it for.
Bros balling, he bought a top of the line dream truck, he’s wearing Ralph Lauren and he got a new dog. Congrats man your definitely doing great for yourself!
I sold my x5 and got a 1794. That’s so true about the gas lol. But the 38gallon tank and regular gas is not bad. I recommend putting two liqui moly injector cleaner . My gas mileage went from 12 to 15.8 in the city
Amazing looking truck brother... exhausts can almost get intimidating because there are so many options, though the good thing is its nearly impossible to make it sound bad. I went true dual carvan r's on mine, it sounds absolutely mental.. Also Lola is so adorable.. looking forward to the upcoming content, take care bro!
Yup, definitely don't buy a 2nd gen Tundra for fuel efficiency. I bought my 2021 SR5 used for recreational purposes only. I love that truck! But still have a Camry and Civic for everyday driving.
I’ve debated getting a tundra. I’m selling my 2020 TRD off road Tacoma and after much debate in whether I’d get a tundra or a 4Runner, I’m sticking with Tacoma gonna get another. 6ft bed, not black like my current one. The Tacoma is not amazing but it’s solid and timeless, tundra is awesome but I don’t need it.
As a Tundra owner myself I just cannot understand why you are getting such horrible gas mileage. There has to be something wrong getting that bad of mpg. The worst mpg I've ever gotten in my Tundra V8 is 13 mpg but I usually average 14.5-15 city. I would have it looked at. Since this video is 5 months old I would love to hear if you did anything to verify it was working properly. Second, the turning radius on the 2.5 gen Tundra was the best in the business at the time. No other truck on the market had a better turning radius. Concerning the chrome I dechromed everything with JD designs parts.
I have a 2016 SR5trdoff road. It costs me about $60 every week and a half. But I didn’t buy it for the gas mileage. Love the v8 and the design. Plus towing my 7000lb travel trail is no problem for my truck. I’ve been tossing getting the new one with the hybrid for the extra horsepower and torque, but for now I love what I got.
Ain't always cheap to catch your dreams, Aing, but damn is it gratifying. That is one beautiful truck, and you are the NEW Aing driving it. Wave to your admirers dude!
1000 miles, a Lexus GX 470 gets 12 mpg, so about 225 miles on 20 gallons, so a 1K miles it would take 4 fill us at 100 dollars each in Ca per fill up, so 400 dollars a month.
@@OfficialAing Funny if I drove to Texas I would keep getting better PPG, going from 100 a fill up to 60 dollars a fill up. Don't worry I will go back home to hell. Overall the cost of a new vehicles can be very daunting and I feel for people when that happens. Total cost is the most important factor not if I can afford the monthly payment. My Lexus was 1K a month, payment, insurance and gas.
Great video! Truck will growth on you. Mods to follow is a 1794 is classy. That’s a truck will take you where ever you need to go. More camping on the horizon. Have fun.
AJT designs makes some blackout kits for all that interior chrome. The stuff they make looks really good. Also, paying extra for gas to drive a full size truck that won't constantly be in the shop is worth it. Congrats on the 1794, it's a great truck.
If you can’t turn in a drive thru you might need to learn how to drive a larger truck since you came from a Tacoma . I have hit mountain trails that others couldn’t believe I made it up in my platinum .
Aing the Tundra turning radius is actually good for a truck. And YES with a longer vehicle like a truck there is an adjustment period when coming from a much shorter vehicle. Just swing a little bit wider and learn to be conscious of your center line and rear tires. You’ll be ight 😊
Congratulations. My 2023 Tacoma does the ABS check also, every time I put it in drive and go about 10 feet, it was driving me crazy and I figured I’ll do some research before I go back to the dealership. The fact that the entire rear window goes down makes it worth it, I had the same thing on my 2015 4Runner and I wish they had it on the Tacoma.
i work at a toyota cert. tech and for my honest opinion, if you still have warranty take advantage of it. go in to the dealership and be like the abs light comes on and want to get it checked out. / there is lots of recalls on the new tundra and im not sure if the abs issue is common but at least they can connect there computer and see what codes you have and go from there. we call it tsb/recalls if the code falls under a tsb or recall you wont have to pay anything and toyota pays for it. if not you only pay the hr diagnosis.
Awwww yea! See I never had one, so I could only imagine what it was like, but now knowing how good it is…couldn’t go back! Would be cool to see V8 Driven 😎🔥
I own a 2014 (1794) with 198,000 miles on it. I get on average 15-16 mpg. Usually 18-20 on the hwy. If you want more bells and whistles, you'll need to buy either a Ford/Chevy/Dodge. If you want to keep your truck out of the shop, buy a Tundra! I've only had mine in the shop for Tires, oil and brakes in almost 10 years.
Is that what that ting sound is at low speeds. It drives me nuts. Everyone that's looked at it is like there's nothing wrong. Why does it make that sound? Huh
@@OfficialAing Well you know if I would’ve thought of that. I’ve taken it to two different places and they both said nothing was wrong so I kind of just wrote it off One of my buddies said may be at your exhaust shield I’m not even sure if the truck has one but yeah. Good to know
Here is a secret for you. Drive around town with the Tow/Haul mode turned on. You think it's fast before, try that! Love my 2019 1794. Also, the turning radius on this is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the redesigned 2022 and up tundra. For a crew cab, I think I read it had the best turning radius of all crew cabs. Enjoy!
Wait til you put it in 4 wheel drive and turn the wheel either to the left or right when turning. Mine felt like the axles were gonna break and my parents 21 1794 does the same thing…great truck but just not a fan of the 4wd system while turning left or right. Try it out and lemme know what ya think or maybe do a video on it 👍👍👍
Brah I have a 2018 Toyota Tundra Limited CrewMax in white. Everything your saying is right on! Love my Tundra and will never buy an American truck. They are nice but the reliability factor is huge for me.
You don’t know this, but I always see you on other Channels and I always stare at your profile picture wishing I could have a tundra! Now we are here! Oh yea this thing is on another level 🔥😎

I have had my 2021 tundra 1 1/2 year. Average mpg is consistently 17. This truck is very sensitive to a heavy foot. I rarely pass people.

Put it on an 8inch lift and some 37s on there your gas mileage should go up
8-12 mpg? That’s atrocious.
