Fun fact: is azur lane, if your ships are destroyed, you only lose affection if i am right. In Kancolle, well, the ship is on the bottom of the ocean, Kancolle has hardcore difficulty active
Man, when they died I was bawling my eyes out of how sad it was. Even when they got reincarnated into modern-day Japan, I still can't help but to still cray as much to fill the oceans. I just hoped that they had a more present ending
I feel i need to explain this The original Shigure was launched on May 18th 1935, commissioned on September 7th 1936 and eventually torpedoed by USS Blackfin on January 24th 1945, she was stricken entirely on March 10th 1945
For real. Gacha game writers went HARD. Azur Lane (the game), for example, had that whole thing about how the Sirens were actually preparing the Azur Lane (the in-game organization) for an even larger interdimensional threat. I know GFL had this whole arc about betrayal and trust, and I don't even follow the game nor the fandom at all. Blue Archive was especially shocking because who woulda thought some bright and colourful gacha game about chibi schoolgirls with guns can devolve into a massive underground conspiracies, bank heists, and child slavery.
@@lesleyguevarra5374 Eehh, I played it up a bit tbh. It wasn't exactly slavery, but there is a major plotline faction in Blue Archive that is just basically a revenge cult "school" that kidnapped orphans to brainwash and indoctrinate into mindless, obedient child soldiers. Look up videos explaining the full lore of Blue Archive, it's actually wack as hell.
One is dramatic and more historical (in spite of shipgirls existing) and the other is more fun, designs are more unique, and accessible (I can actually play azur lane and not lose girls). That being said, I like the character designs in both, but I'm unfamiliar with kancolle girls.
I always preferred how the Kancolle girls' designs, personalities and relationships reflected more strongly the histories of their real life counterparts.
To be fair, both KC and AL have their own pluses and minuses. KC has a better character development, and some good aspects, but is hard to access and only available on PC (and console I think?), KC also has less characters compared to AL. On the other hand, AL really has an interesting approach to their lore and it grows everyday. They keep on updating their characters and are easier to access since they're available on mobile.
@@maikson97 it's not only KC actually, a lot of good Japanese made games are region locked. Which is a shame because those games have potential to dominate the global game market

I think part of why I liked the Kancolle anime looking back vs the Azur Lane anime was partially because you know you (as the admiral) are there in the background. You're not a big player, but you're still there keeping the team going in spite of the occasional missteps and foul-ups. Meanwhile AL doesn't even let the player have a background role (not counting Slow Ahead).
In the Azur Lane game, since the shipgirls' riggings can actually turn into the real ship (also true in the anime), the player is on board commanding directly in the frontlines. (In game, you can control the characters. As in issuing live orders. Operation Siren reflects this aspect better than the regular gamemode.) For me, the thing that makes me like KanColle more is that there is a psychological attachment formed through the gameplay and storyline. The thing in KanColle that Azur Lane doesn't have is the worry of losing your shipgirl. In the AL game, even if they are all defeated, they all return to port magically without any deaths. In KC? You actually lose them. Once you send your shipgirls in combat, you wait in worry and hope the mission goes alright. The only time given by the game to disengage is when a battle is over. You are then given the option to push or withdraw. Push too hard, and one of these girls or maybe more under your command might just die. Hope you summon them again and start over from zero, but deep down you know it will never be the same. There is also a ship repair mechanic that makes you further attached to the characters. KC game might be more passive, but man does it give you them feels just like the anime.
@@user-ve2yz9ne9g not all the time some events the commander is with a another fleet on the other side of the world or back at home port in NYC, and its just the girls out on the operations at the same time. Since each faction still has their own gov and goals the Azur lane is like the UN lol
They kinda doubled back with it for the arknights anime, the doctor is alot more involved even if they do nothing basically. Less emotional support and more "i am your support, there are many like me but i'm here for you".
I could care less which is better As long as both Shikikans love and protect their ladies, especially the little ones, give them plenty of sweets and pats
To everyone who said the first Azur Lane anime is bad, don't blame us making bad stuff. The studio decided to go on their own fanfic instead of the Azur Lane lore, causing me to spend too much time trying to tell people to don't watch that shit. It suck, and even Azur Lane player hate it. We only watch it cause that probably the only way we can see the shipgirls we like on the big screen. I only watch that shit up to after Repulse scene. Then I ditch that thing and never touch it again.
Author's note: Ways to hurt the reader's #use their attachments from the characters. #use their liking from the characters. #use rl as an advantage to blind them. Note: atleast give respect to "them".
I want to watch kancolle anime and play the game (but isn't available overseas). I still waiting for Richelieu in the anime, so i will start watching it. Yeah i fell in love with her, 75% of my gallery are populate with her pictures. But i read the comments, kinda heartbreaking if they sunk, they die. I know Richelieu didn't sunk in history and her end is breaking her body apart, i really don't want to see that.
remember Kc has modern aegis destroyers and such , Kancolle is set in modern day , abyssal must have just appear out of nowhere into the sea along with the souls of the warships of ww2 , this also begs the questions that this souls are physically none existence yet can possess people and be one in flesh ..... so in theory ..... if those aegis destroyers ever fot sunk fighting abyssal . the souls of the sailors along with it can manifest and possess someone . hence a modern rigging and other essential equipments are created out of thin air ...... so if kongou ever got a daughter , she is more likely an ideal vessel for the aegis spirit .......
The only way I'm going to Kancolle from Azur Lane is if Kancolle has my favorite Dreadnought, The USS Texas. (I'm a bit biased for Texas, I will admit.)
The fact you think I support the japs after they sunk MY ship in 1941 is hilarious 🤣 My argument here is that Kancolle is superior to AL because the plot and story is better than fan service and it has the balls to kill of characters.
The anime probably is, Azur Lane's story is a pretty wild alternative universe mass of craziness that's really difficult to understand. That being said, the individual characters and personalities in Azur Lane is soo good and diverse.
If we go by story depth of the animes there is more depth in the kancolle anime. If we go by the games however... there is silly amount of hidden lore and depth in Azur lane, whilst kancolle mainly relies on its historical lore and not that much else. At least for the longest of time it didn't. Kancolle has some historical depth whilst Azur Lane went its own way and created its own depths, secrets, mysteries and intrigue. I am saying this as someone that played both games for many years, I prefer Azur Lane over Kancolle when it comes to the story (and stories), ironically enough. It beint more friendly towards my card also helps. : P
Somehow this remind me to Uma Musume, many characters in that anime are also already dead irl since they are horses, and some characters are the horses that born in the 80s-90s, so they mostly already dead by now.
That Intrepit incident that struck Kancolle fanbase has leave me a very big trauma back then, which made me leave and abandoned the whole series in a whole due of my sadness over the chaos that happened I'm now still untouched Kancolle and more of Azur Lane Player now, but deep in my heart, i still f***ing love Kancolle as it's one of my earliest fandom series that i engaged with when i'm still a relative newbie weeb What i really love from Kancolle is that despite the game has no story progression as i recall and being vague (which i'm going to tackle onto it below), the characterization on the ship girls are done very well The vagueness of Kancolle is actually the big point of it, with that vagueness you can make your own intrepertation of your ship girls and how the stories goes with your mind, and because of that you have a ship girls that has multiple personalities that can be fun, amazing, scary, emphatict, etc just like Touhou. Azur Lane Ship Girls personalities and stories has been written and goes with the stories direction that has been scripted and planned by the devs, it's not a bad thing and in fact it's very good too, but it lost the magic of vagueness and the way of intrepentation of the ship girls by many fans like Kancolle did There is the realism as well, another big sell too, sure that it has that propaganda but i'll be lying if i'm not interested with it, and thanks for that the Kancolle atmosphere also has that darker and grittier vibe on it which has been on the fandom for a long time, which make the attachement to the ship girls became more closers, as you have "i don't want my girl hurt, i'll keep her alive and happy despite in this battlefield" mindset, combined with the fact that you lost your ship girls permanently when she sunk helped it a lot. Azur Lane is more towards the alternate reality and fantasy shennanigans.....maybe too much fantasy, and the atmosphere of Azur Lane is way more lighter and goofy And lastly, the designs! Yes Kancolle designs can be too simplistict but that's okay, sometime simple is the best And with simplistict designs, you can have some of good details on it Azur Lane design is good don't get me wrong, but with their audience work which geared to degen and s*x, it can be too overwhelming that even a degen like myself can feel that it's too much, alongside that some of the design.....can be too tryhard to be cool and have too many things on their design In the end both game has their plus and minus, so in the end it's up to your preference Tho i wish that Azur Lane need to tone down their degen and their fantasy/AR stuff and more focusing on the characterizations of their ship girls, and maybe make the stories a bit more serious darker
There's a fanart of Yamato..... just cut in half, crying while dead and seeing her fairies that was aboard her abandon ship while slaughtered along with her as she sank.... i know they were the axis but... damn i feel bad and sad about it after seeing them down one by one...
I can agree that the anime for Kancolle is better than the azur lane anime we got, but I wouldn't say Kancolle is objectively better than Azur Lane in anyway
In the darkness that is KanColle, there is only war. In all seriousness we can appreciate that the game really gives a shit about the history of the ships. The devs celebrating Samuel B roberts found by giving her a remodel and releasing shipgirls like Souya make this game completely based. while AL has its good thing, the increase of toxic inner faction wars, UR bias and most ironically the fact they pander more towards Sakura and the JP fanbase makes this more ironic. EN only gets breadcrumbs and is fucking sad.

It's hard to forget both of them.......
Kancolle and Azurlane are quite different to me Kancolle ignoring the Japanese propaganda: Is just a group of girls that had the souls of warships in them. Theyre kids forced to fight cause the souls were just there... Azurlane ignoring the light-hearted tones and chinese propaganda and sirens: quite the oposite, This time its the ships that crystalized the memories of itself and it's crew that resulted into the kansen of Azur lane. They're ships given the soul of women formed from the memories and experiences from their previous incarnation, The real human history. Azurlane ship girls, are shipgirls that already faced hell were given the second chances. Kancolle are ship girls that are about to experiences why Azurlane ship girls had those second chances.
Idk lad Can't exactly compare Kancolle and Azur Lane when Kancolle are just around Japan while using Alien for The USS where Azur Lane actually had the USS, Royal, IJN and the KMS Heck even the French, Italian and Russian in the game
@@hiheyxd thats a joke people made to others who aparently never bother to check the KanColle wiki. What color is your Iowa? AL doesnt have Iowa, why are you asking like KC has USS shipgirls? lol, oh wait a min!
You get it wrong, Kannedcoal was the first timeline when they all died(the ones that did or got scrapped after war) fighting abyssals. while Azur Lane is an alter timeline, where they all were reborn after ww from the cubes with technology stolen from sirens (an alien like enemy that suddenly came from the sea) by humans and thus collecting the consciousness of the previous historical ships to fight those mysterious sirens.
I mean Kancolle is just a 1:1 allegory to the Imperial Japanese Navy being destroyed. And if you read a wiki page to check how their ships ended up. Yea.. prepare to cry.
Only one ship that manage to survive which is Yukikaze (on the right of Shigure) If you looked at the end credits, she had the longest commission. If you did bit of googling she was decommissioned not destroyed.
Kancolle might be more crueler than azurlane. bad management can lead your ship gone to the dust but storyline wise they're equal.... Especially that another timeline enterprise just big ol chunk of sadness.

Fun fact: is azur lane, if your ships are destroyed, you only lose affection if i am right.
In Kancolle, well, the ship is on the bottom of the ocean, Kancolle has hardcore difficulty active
Kancolle: Pure bad ending. No one wins
Azur lane: pure happiness and joy.
Man, when they died I was bawling my eyes out of how sad it was. Even when they got reincarnated into modern-day Japan, I still can't help but to still cray as much to fill the oceans.
I just hoped that they had a more present ending

When Gacha games has better stories than most movies that comes out of Hollywood
Bro, I don't know what you are smoking, but these games have shittier writing than even a bad Hollywood film.
😂 facts 😂😂
@@standard-carrier-wo-chanexcuse me CHILD SLAVERY???
now i wanna know what really happened...
Both is good AL and kancolle
"Masterpiece of art"
One is dramatic and more historical (in spite of shipgirls existing) and the other is more fun, designs are more unique, and accessible (I can actually play azur lane and not lose girls). That being said, I like the character designs in both, but I'm unfamiliar with kancolle girls.
Too much color power n somelewd thingy~
One is Kantai Collection 😎😎😎 while the other is Brothel Collection 🥵🥵🥵
Im prefer KC character design actually because most ship from same class has the same uniform
I always preferred how the Kancolle girls' designs, personalities and relationships reflected more strongly the histories of their real life counterparts.
I love KanColle for the exact same reason I love Girls Frontline. A gritty setting and a heavily emotional storyline.
the moment when Shigure died in the anime and returned as the enemy makes me cry hard when i watch it on tv
Read a KC doujin called Gift and Promises.
In terms of hitting you with the feels, KC remains supreme.
To be fair, both KC and AL have their own pluses and minuses. KC has a better character development, and some good aspects, but is hard to access and only available on PC (and console I think?), KC also has less characters compared to AL. On the other hand, AL really has an interesting approach to their lore and it grows everyday. They keep on updating their characters and are easier to access since they're available on mobile.
its mainly due that the dev of KC didnt think people outside of japan would play KC, so they never released outside

Good thing you'll get what you want with the upcoming Queen's Order OVA
In the Azur Lane game, since the shipgirls' riggings can actually turn into the real ship (also true in the anime), the player is on board commanding directly in the frontlines. (In game, you can control the characters. As in issuing live orders. Operation Siren reflects this aspect better than the regular gamemode.)
For me, the thing that makes me like KanColle more is that there is a psychological attachment formed through the gameplay and storyline.

Argh man the nostalgia this is the first anime ive watch and continue watching since i was a kid now i miss those days watching this on tv

Kancolle is good
Also Kancolle fans: Why is this show dark and despair
remember Kc has modern aegis destroyers and such , Kancolle is set in modern day , abyssal must have just appear out of nowhere into the sea along with the souls of the warships of ww2 , this also begs the questions that this souls are physically none existence yet can possess people and be one in flesh ..... so in theory ..... if those aegis destroyers ever fot sunk fighting abyssal . the souls of the sailors along with it can manifest and possess someone . hence a modern rigging and other essential equipments are created out of thin air ...... so if kongou ever got a daughter , she is more likely an ideal vessel for the aegis spirit .......

Ocgangster finally upload a video about Kancolle after many years (or maybe im wrong)
I think that the ending and the fact kancolle season two only had eight episodes I was a bit sad that it ended like that.
Its like a spin off. Say also the anime dev's

That's why i love azur lane more... I don't want to feel... I want to be happy... At least it's enough with unhappiness we get in RL (´༎ຶ ͜ʖ ༎ຶ `)♡
That Intrepit incident that struck Kancolle fanbase has leave me a very big trauma back then, which made me leave and abandoned the whole series in a whole due of my sadness over the chaos that happened
I'm now still untouched Kancolle and more of Azur Lane Player now, but deep in my heart, i still f***ing love Kancolle as it's one of my earliest fandom series that i engaged with when i'm still a relative newbie weeb
What i really love from Kancolle is that despite the game has no story progression as i recall and being vague (which i'm going to tackle onto it below), the characterization on the ship girls are done very well
The vagueness of Kancolle is actually the big point of it, with that vagueness you can make your own intrepertation of your ship girls and how the stories goes with your mind, and because of that you have a ship girls that has multiple personalities that can be fun, amazing, scary, emphatict, etc just like Touhou. Azur Lane Ship Girls personalities and stories has been written and goes with the stories direction that has been scripted and planned by the devs, it's not a bad thing and in fact it's very good too, but it lost the magic of vagueness and the way of intrepentation of the ship girls by many fans like Kancolle did
There is the realism as well, another big sell too, sure that it has that propaganda but i'll be lying if i'm not interested with it, and thanks for that the Kancolle atmosphere also has that darker and grittier vibe on it which has been on the fandom for a long time, which make the attachement to the ship girls became more closers, as you have "i don't want my girl hurt, i'll keep her alive and happy despite in this battlefield" mindset, combined with the fact that you lost your ship girls permanently when she sunk helped it a lot. Azur Lane is more towards the alternate reality and fantasy shennanigans.....maybe too much fantasy, and the atmosphere of Azur Lane is way more lighter and goofy
And lastly, the designs! Yes Kancolle designs can be too simplistict but that's okay, sometime simple is the best
And with simplistict designs, you can have some of good details on it
Azur Lane design is good don't get me wrong, but with their audience work which geared to degen and s*x, it can be too overwhelming that even a degen like myself can feel that it's too much, alongside that some of the design.....can be too tryhard to be cool and have too many things on their design
In the end both game has their plus and minus, so in the end it's up to your preference
Tho i wish that Azur Lane need to tone down their degen and their fantasy/AR stuff and more focusing on the characterizations of their ship girls, and maybe make the stories a bit more serious darker
Ijn yamato sinking made me cry..
Kancolle anime is somewhat historically accurate, AL anime is somewhat Micheal Bay DVD commentary
Anime that makes men cry when they read the history of the characters.
There's a fanart of Yamato..... just cut in half, crying while dead and seeing her fairies that was aboard her abandon ship while slaughtered along with her as she sank.... i know they were the axis but... damn i feel bad and sad about it after seeing them down one by one...
I can agree that the anime for Kancolle is better than the azur lane anime we got,
but I wouldn't say Kancolle is objectively better than Azur Lane in anyway
Its also not the 2nd seasion of Kancolle.

Azurlane ignoring the light-hearted tones and chinese propaganda and sirens:
quite the oposite, This time its the ships that crystalized the memories of itself and it's crew that resulted into the kansen of Azur lane. They're ships given the soul of women formed from the memories and experiences from their previous incarnation, The real human history.
