    It will also work with the new 80mm Macro lens too.

      Good shout :) Should be testing it out properly tomorrow! Albeit I don't have this with me.

    Great video Damian. I know it costs a lot but for the extra reach and how little space it takes up in your bag it's worth every penny cheers mate

    Fantastic lens Damian! But that converter price, not cheap for the extra reach. Happy New Year Bro! Hope Christmas went well ;)

    with extension tube it will work with any fuji lenses, i think.

    I have this combo Damian; it's optically excellent. I don't, however, like the lens hood on the 50-140mm; it's a pig to get on and off and feels like a bad design. The lens is terrific though.

      Six years later the lens hood is still a pain, each time and every time.

    Thanks Damian for a great review. I'm buying a 70-300mm fuji lens and I'm having trouble deciding between the 1.4tc and 2. tc. it will be for bird and wildlife. What would you do?

    • @DamianBrown

      I'm looking forward to trying it with the 2! Some amazing potential there. Between the two options it's hard to say for sure as it depends if you're needing that extra focal length more.

    it is beautiful

    How about manual focus lenses mounted using an adaptor. They'll work, won't they?

    • @DamianBrown

      Rob Gaskin good shout. I'm gonna try this when I get in!

      Rob Gaskin tried it with a fx to pk adapter and it worked. Thanks to your idea

      Good thinking, since the adaptors or the extension tubes have no glass and are empty. Bravo!!!

    Errr..Surely you mean 'Open up' to f2.8.

    I wonder how many people think thats the way a lens hood fits when shooting?

    So it makes the 50-140mm what now ?

    @lrb05131963 3 года назад

    Do you think it will soon work on the 70-300mm too ?

    Hi damian, why not the 2x TC ? More reach i guess

    Edgbaston Reservoir?!

    • @DamianBrown
      @DamianBrown  7 лет назад

      Yes indeed. Was busy yesterday and the light was starting to drop on me so I swung in there as I knew there'd be at least something to shoot which would at least do the job. I didn't fancy getting out the car with the Canon on it's tripod though... some very shifty characters use that car park. It's otherwise a decent place, especially being so close to the centre!

    • @FrankWoodPhotography

      Beautiful place, very dodgy area indeed! Can't believe how low the water level is at the moment.

    • @DamianBrown

      Yes, I'm surprised. The "beach" appeared fairly recently but I thought it had filled in again! I should have thrown in a clip of it!

    Waste of money: Cropping and sampling up in PhotoShop will give exactly the same results!

    $449.99 here in the U.S.

    • @DamianBrown

      Yikes. But then it's cheaper and smaller than a whole new lens.

      @@DamianBrown true, works excellently on the 50-140 & 100-400mm zooms. I am waiting for the 80mm lens yet from Santa, hehehe.
