2015 Buick Enclave AC and Temp Gauge Ions and Cooling Fan on High...Now What?

Computers control everything in modern vehicles now days and sometime the simple failures have multiple symptoms. Like our Buick Enclave...the cooling fan sounds like a Sesna taking flight while I melt in the South Texas sun because the AC isn't working and I cant tell if the car is overheating or not because the gauge isn't working. The check engine light is on and the skin tool indicates a P01028 DTC code. Could a 7 dollar sensor be the cause of these failures?

our 2013 camry has that issue, when sitting at idle the A/c stops working, the compressor stops, as it thinks the air is cold...but there's some sorta sensor..like you monkeyed with needs to be replaced. My cheap butt does this trick, turn off the a/c switch and then turn it on, then it works....but fine while driving...no issues. Its a pain in the butt, as the camry has it sensors on the a/c compressor...maybe i drive to Texas and have you help...i video your work, woohoo!
