Can’t say I’m a fan of those Tripp Lite units. The daisy chain wiring pattern, looks like use of solid core jumpers, and using the “stab” holes instead of screws makes for a rig I’d be very hesitant to bring on the road when subject to a lot of vibration. Obviously my opinion and I’m retired from the entertainment biz so armchair warrior here!
Hey Don, it took me around 2 hours. That being said: this was the first time I made this mod, so I was making it up as I went without any real plan. Plus I was filming which really slows things down.
How cool, I started doing EXACTLY this yesterday... nice video, thank you!
What size are those spade connectors for the powercon? What's the model of the crimper?

Might be a long shot but do you know if punching a hole for a BNC panel connector would be the same size? The exact model is NBB75DFIB
Yup. Standard D-series punch. 15/16” dia hole.
@billylaguardia thanks for the quick response, I really like your videos 🤘
@@Mathieu168 thanks! I appreciate the kind words! 🤗🤗
That punch thingy made quick work of that hole, do you have a link to that thing?

Great stuff, Billy. Curious what the approximate total install time was. Obviously, the video slowed you down a bit...
