I absolutely love the way a person's face lights up when they tentatively draw forth the first few beats from a new tipper. I.....think I desperately need a MellMo now.
Just ordered mine - every bodhran course i have taken these tippers are well recommended. LOVE your style of playing and found you first on OAIM and learning your technique has been my favorite sound so far! I have always loved the deep base sounds - i also have a Hedwitschak drum and this is the way it sounds BEST 💕💕💕
So cool! I really like the sound of both the JazzMo and the DropMo. After many, many years of playing with a "pencil" type grip, I've been experimenting with different ways to hold my tipper, maybe if I get the hang of this kind of grip I'll have to treat myself.
@@RolfWagels that's great to know! I've been playing with the traditional grip for probably 25 years now, but my last job injured my hand a bit, and I've been experimenting with different tippers and techniques to make sure I don't give myself problems
Hi Matt, sorry to hear about your injury! I would suggest to try and find a hold that gives you no pain or the least amount of pain possible. Make sure you stretch and warm up too. Here is a video with some time that may help guide you to your hold: ruclips.net/video/JRrnsyJ0iuk/видео.html
These sound great...all of them. Have you ever tried one of the Cormac Byrne Tippers? They appear to have a golf club shaft handle. Amazing playing and sounding drum too!
Miss seeing your videos, as a guitar player im trying to translate the tipper hand as the same as a guitar rhythm hand, some of these rhythms are interesting on guitar
Hi Nicole…I am a side drummer from Canada, and just came across your channel. Thank you for all the wonderful videos! You are very talented and a good instructor. Do you know where I might purchase the SM tippers for delivery to Canada? My best!
Hola Nicolle. Me encantan tus videos, pero mi ingles es muy pobre, a pesar de eso los sigo desde hace tiempo. Gracias. ¿ alguna posibilidad de que publiques alguno en español? Muchas greacias.
Super informative and excellently produced. Thanks for the video!

I got one the other day as I could not get one of the NE-F brushes and wow, it's really incredible to play with. Way more versatile then you think

Hey Matt, they work for all grips! I play all the tippers in the video, but use the more traditional pencil grip technique

Thanks Nicole? What are you using in this video?

Impossible to pick a favorite. MellMo surprised me the most. The sound from the crushed bamboo rods is firm and lush, far superior to typical brushes!
DropMo for me since I am a drummer and it resembles a drumstick.

Nicolle, how long, on average, are those tippers? I'm experimenting with my own tippers.
Super, merci ......
MelloMo is amazing, as are you!
