They mean in the fragility that Jesus came in- first as a baby, in general as a human, and in that he didn't come as a mighty or affluent ruler/king the way that the Jews always assumed the Messiah would reveal himself.

Jason Steiger it was used on a separate mic on purpose. It's pretty tasteful in this song and used only on the interludes. Besides that he didn't NEED the auto tune, if you notice that you can hear it on purpose it may change the way you feel about it.
