I just graduated Marine Corps boot camp 6 days ago. I was never religious growing up. I always ignored my dad when he spoke about God. While in boot camp, I went to church just to get away from my DIs. During my first visit, they played this song. For the following week, I read the Bible every night in my rack. During my second visit, I decided to surrender myself to God, and I was baptized in His name. I believe that in the end, I ultimately was able to complete boot camp because of Him. Every Sunday, they'd have church services. I didn't go every time, but I read the Bible every night

My wife is 8 months pregnant and as she was driving today, she got involved in a terrible head collision accident. Her car was pushed away 15 metres away while she was inside. I thank God she survived and the baby is okay. God is great.

We don't celebrate or worship on Halloween, we have Harvest Festival/Fair which is an outreach to the communities we live in and it is Christ centered. I'm assuming from what you stated above that you're a Seventh Day Adventist or some form of Messianic Jew? Which is awesome. I think that whatever you're doing/ how you believe is your choice-- just like how "most Christians" have a right to choose how they want to live. Also, I think I should add that all of the Christian churches I have attended(which have been many) teach out of both Testaments and believe that one is not more important than the other. I hope you don't take offense to this comment, it wasn't made with any sort of rude intent, but I thought I'd offer my knowledge and experience. God Bless you, brother!

The point of celebrating Christ on these holidays is to make the day about God *instead* of that pagan holiday. For instance, by having an outreach on Halloween we are bringing God into the community and pushing the pagan holiday/focus out of it. I believe what I believe, and you believe what you believe. However there is no reason to go around tearing people down because of what they believe, surely you know that. So maybe you should ask yourself if YOU know what sin is.

I've been an athiest for 8 years now. i would deny any religion and totally ignore any beliefs anyone had. well my mental state has took its toll on me and its brought me down to new lows. i remembered hearing this song in placement but never paid any attention to it. well a year and a half later im in the shower sobbing like a new born baby begging god to heal me. this emotion i have never felt and i wasnt scared. i didnt feel shame for crying or tried to be tough about it. something really brought me to my knees and comforted me more than anyone ever has. i have a long way to go but it has definitely made me rethink my idea of a non existent god.

I'm going to be performing this song for a pageant at my high school. I've practiced it over and over again on the acoustic guitar, and singing it as well. When I sing it for my family, they say it sounds great, which really comforts me. But I've never sung in front of a big crowd before, and I'm a bit nervous about it. I was an addict for 15 years I'm 32 I hit the hardest rock bottom anyone can hit. When I first heard the song after I got out of jail I went to rehab mind you have been to jail 13 times because of my addiction this song does something for me and I've been clean and sober now for 3 years my sobriety date was September 4th of 2015 I know God is the reason I had the strength to pull through when I hit rock bottom to make it out a lot he is the reason why I came here today to be a mom to my child. I struggle with my 13 year old son's every single day because he's just got a very bad attitude about everything and I get triggered by it and snap and yell and I this is my go-to song it takes every bit of anger in my heart out I literally will listen to this song about 15 times. This is the best song I've ever heard in my whole life and the song Redeemed by Big Daddy Weave is also my other go to song I just close my eyes and just get chills from my toes all the way to my cheeks because I know God is putting that love back into my heart and that strength back into my body to just be faithful a joyful and be glad and I I'm trying to work on handling my anger towards my son the old me would have went back to my addiction but that bottom I hit scared me for the rest of my life I will have to think about my rock bottom before I ever do anything but I love my kid and I love the song and I love Jesus and I just want to get closer to him and I let him in and I then just run away from him seem to only call him whenever I need him in a Troublesome situation but I'm trying to let him in forever to stay there I want to live the way God wants me to I just want to buy my path. I am a believer, and I am of NO religion. It is a personal relationship with The Almighty, and His Son. Read your Scriptures, and come to know them intimately. Your walk is your walk. Having faith comes from believing in The Word, and obedience is a HUGE blessing. Read cover to cover. 🥰 and when you are done, start over and read again. I walked away from the church over 20 yrs ago because when I read for myself I found out I was lied to ALL MY LIFE from the preachers and pastors. They do NOT teach The Word! They teach theology! I wasn't raised up, I was dragged up in an abusive home. I watched my mom shoot my dad in his face at 11, I was drinking heavily by 13 and hooked on meth at 20. I was running as far and as fast as I could from our Father.....Guess what you can't out run him. He showed me his undeniable love and at 33 I gave control of a life out of control to The Great I Am. At 34 I lost my mom to suicide, but He pulled me through it. At 38 He put me in Youth Ministry. We all have a weapon to use and it is our testimony. Whether it is in a song or knocking on a stranger's door to share the Gospel, stand up and use it please. Had it not been for some folks being obedient to His word I may not have made it.

when I was in high school I felt an emptiness, I knew I needed God but I didn't want to look for Him. In one of those sleepless early mornings I decided to play hillsong and this song appeared to me. My need for God was so great that I began to cry without consolation, feeling alone and an emptiness that could only be filled by God. I use this song when I lost hope in the future. I lost my parents and live in a country without any relatives and family. I came to the Netherlands with my parents when I was a child. I don’t feel a connection with my family in Suriname because I don’t know them. I hate it to be lonely. I’m grateful that I have a god and my fluffy cat.

Nov 30th 2015 my 5 yr old got diagnosed with Leukemia. it's been such a hard path, but this songs explains so much. have faith in God and trust him. no matter what he has planned. he picked Mt daughter for a reason and though it's painful. I need to trust him.
I lost my best friend to a a drug overdose this week. He was a believer, but had lost his way, making bad choices the last few years. May the Lord bless him and keep him I'm heartbroken 😢

At the lowest point in my life, I found this song. I listened to it about 1000x and it helped pull me out of a dark place. Although I was struggling with God, church; I knew he was there still. I had no idea where my life would go, it all improved and I am grateful this song kept me going through the darkness I was feeling.

when i hear this song. ans think about hillsong. I can just think of how humble they are. they make this BEAUTIFUL music. with no professional studio. but just a room where they practice. these guys don't get paid much. but they only care that they will spread the great gospel of God. when i hear this song i hear a vacuum. this shows that you don't need to be a rich, famous person with a professional studio. That is top quality. all you need is your soul, spirit, music, and a open hungry mind for God. these guys are so so humble. And you can't appreciate them enough for making beautiful music for not making much money themselves. these guys are people you want to look up to. thank you hillsong for putting your amazing work and time into this. If you have come to Christ and your life was not changed, go back and see Him again. Keep going back and stay there until there is a real change that you know in your heart. I say this because many say they accept Him as Lord, but did they really? I see so many today that say they are Christians, but their lives say otherwise. This is something you really don't want to get wrong. Christ is faithful, but you really have to be completely honest in your desire and be willing to give up what you believe is your life and He will give real life back in return. He knows your heart, so there is no game in this.
As christians we arent saved by our acts but by His grace. We cant judge others coz accepting christian its a way of accepting we are week and we need christ. Who are we Gods understand what goes on our lives and we arent perfect beings. I magine Peter denied Jesus being a witness of His life plus all miracles but it was written and God knew it so well it will happen. So as a christian should have faith and when we become born again it doesnt make us example of righteous. I think christian can support others but not question and judge them rather pray for them

This version of this song reminds me of a passage in the Psalms that says, "Praise Him with trumpet sound; Praise Him with harp and lyre. Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe. Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals." (150)
It is a lovely passage in the Psalms. However, it does not state anywhere in the Bible that anyone should be dancing in church, aka- the Temple of God- like many evangelicals do.
Psalm 30:11 "You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness," Mrs H., you may not have once had any mourning from which you can now be dancing in praise to God for. But, know that the first church gathering was made up of Jews and this church at Pentecost, only had the old testament scripture's! They were quite familiar with Psalm 150 which starts out “Praise God in His sanctuary” that’s aka- the Temple of God! So, it is evident that if they praised God with dance in the Temple, they praised Him more in the Church, seeing that the new testament is greater than the old testament, as it is made of better promise’s Hebrews 7:19 and 22.

I just graduated Marine Corps boot camp 6 days ago. I was never religious growing up. I always ignored my dad when he spoke about God. While in boot camp, I went to church just to get away from my DIs. During my first visit, they played this song. For the following week, I read the Bible every night in my rack. During my second visit, I decided to surrender myself to God, and I was baptized in His name. I believe that in the end, I ultimately was able to complete boot camp because of Him. Every Sunday, they'd have church services. I didn't go every time, but I read the Bible every night

My wife is 8 months pregnant and as she was driving today, she got involved in a terrible head collision accident. Her car was pushed away 15 metres away while she was inside. I thank God she survived and the baby is okay. God is great.

***** I don't know how many Christian churches you have been to, but I can tell you that we don't celebrate Easter, we celebrate the sacrifice that Christ made for us -- not getting candy from a mythical bunny. We don't celebrate or worship on Halloween, we have Harvest Festival/Fair which is an outreach to the communities we live in and it is Christ centered. I'm assuming from what you stated above that you're a Seventh Day Adventist or some form of Messianic Jew? Which is awesome. I think that whatever you're doing/ how you believe is your choice-- just like how "most Christians" have a right to choose how they want to live. Also, I think I should add that all of the Christian churches I have attended(which have been many) teach out of both Testaments and believe that one is not more important than the other.

I've been an athiest for 8 years now. i would deny any religion and totally ignore any beliefs anyone had. well my mental state has took its toll on me and its brought me down to new lows. i remembered hearing this song in placement but never paid any attention to it. well a year and a half later im in the shower sobbing like a new born baby begging god to heal me. this emotion i have never felt and i wasnt scared. i didnt feel shame for crying or tried to be tough about it. something really brought me to my knees and comforted me more than anyone ever has. i have a long way to go but it has definitely made me rethink my idea of a non existent god.

I'm going to be performing this song for a pageant at my high school.
I've practiced it over and over again on the acoustic guitar, and singing it as well.
When I sing it for my family, they say it sounds great, which really comforts me.
But I've never sung in front of a big crowd before, and I'm a bit nervous about it.

I was an addict for 15 years I'm 32 I hit the hardest rock bottom anyone can hit. When I first heard the song after I got out of jail I went to rehab mind you have been to jail 13 times because of my addiction this song does something for me and I've been clean and sober now for 3 years my sobriety date was September 4th of 2015 I know God is the reason I had the strength to pull through when I hit rock bottom to make it out a lot he is the reason why I came here today to be a mom to my child. I struggle with my 13 year old son's every single day because he's just got a very bad attitude about everything and I get triggered by it and snap and yell and I this is my go-to song it takes every bit of anger in my heart out I literally will listen to this song about 15 times. This is the best song I've ever heard in my whole life and the song Redeemed by Big Daddy Weave is also my other go to song I just close my eyes and just get chills from my toes all the way to my cheeks because I know God is putting that love back into my heart and that strength back into my body to just be faithful a joyful and be glad and I I'm trying to work on handling my anger towards my son the old me would have went back to my addiction but that bottom I hit scared me for the rest of my life I will have to think about my rock bottom before I ever do anything but I love my kid and I love the song and I love Jesus and I just want to get closer to him and I let him in and I then just run away from him seem to only call him whenever I need him in a Troublesome situation but I'm trying to let him in forever to stay there I want to live the way God wants me to I just want to buy my path. The song is awesome sorry this song is just great got to go want to listen to it again

Yeah, I have close friends that are demonic and they know that I'm a Christian because I would never be afraid to tell people what I believe in. I too have been made fun of from them and others when I first introduced myself (still do sometimes), and I don't make a big deal out of it since I know everyone is made and raised different. I wasn't raised up, I was dragged up in an abusive home. I watched my mom shoot my dad in his face at 11, I was drinking heavily by 13 and hooked on meth at 20. I was running as far and as fast as I could from our Father.....Guess what you can't out run him. He showed me his undeniable love and at 33 I gave control of a life out of control to The Great I Am. At 34 I lost my mom to suicide, but He pulled me through it. At 38 He put me in Youth Ministry. We all have a weapon to use and it is our testimony. Whether it is in a song or knocking on a stranger's door to share the Gospel, stand up and use it please. Had it not been for some folks being obedient to His word I may not have made it.

At the lowest point in my life, I found this song. I listened to it about 1000x and it helped pull me out of a dark place. Although I was struggling with God, church; I knew he was there still. I had no idea where my life would go, it all improved and I am grateful this song kept me going through the darkness I was feeling.

when i hear this song. ans think about hillsong. I can just think of how humble they are. they make this BEAUTIFUL music. with no professional studio. but just a room where they practice. these guys don't get paid much. but they only care that they will spread the great gospel of God. when i hear this song i hear a vacuum. this shows that you don't need to be a rich, famous person with a professional studio. That is top quality. all you need is your soul, spirit, music, and a open hungry mind for God. these guys are so so humble. If you have come to Christ and your life was not changed, go back and see Him again. Keep going back and stay there until there is a real change that you know in your heart. I say this because many say they accept Him as Lord, but did they really? I see so many today that say they are Christians, but their lives say otherwise. This is something you really don't want to get wrong. Christ is faithful, but you really have to be completely honest in your desire and be willing to give up what you believe is your life and He will give real life back in return. He knows your heart, so there is no game in this.

As christians we arent saved by our acts but by His grace. We cant judge others coz accepting christian its a way of accepting we are week and we need christ. Who are we Gods understand what goes on our lives and we arent perfect beings. I magine Peter denied Jesus being a witness of His life plus all miracles but it was written and God knew it so well it will happen. So as a christian should have faith and when we become born again it doesnt make us example of righteous. I think christian can support others but not question and judge them rather pray for them

This version of this song reminds me of a passage in the Psalms that says, "Praise Him with trumpet sound; Praise Him with harp and lyre. Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe. Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals." (150)
It is a lovely passage in the Psalms. However, it does not state anywhere in the Bible that anyone should be dancing in church, aka- the Temple of God- like many evangelicals do.

into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,"
Mrs H., you may not have once had any mourning from which you can now be dancing in praise to God for. But, know that the first church gathering was made up of Jews and this church at Pentecost, only had the old testament scripture's! They were quite familiar
with Psalm 150 which starts out “Praise God in His sanctuary” that’s aka- the
Temple of God! So, it is evident that if they praised God with dance in the Temple,
they praised Him more in the Church, seeing that the new testament is greater
than the old testament, as it is made of better promise’s Hebrews 7:19 and 22.
