- This is how I approach frontside crooked grinds. One of the harder tricks to learn. I don't recommend trying this one until you have all the basic grinds (50-50, 5-0, Nosegrind...etc). These tips have helped me land them consistently. I hope they help you.
Let me know which tricks you’d like to learn in the comments. Thanks for watching.

Great lock in, great looking front crooks. Also, very good explanation on movement concepts.
Double thanks 🙏🏾
Thanks for the way you explain tricks, I front side crooked on a curb today for the first time! And just kept getting them!
Yoooooo!! So stoked to hear. These are so much fun.
I'd love to hear more about truck tightness. I used to ride my trucks a lot tighter and kept loosening them just because people at the park kept telling me to. (To be fair, my old truck tightness _was_ way too tight).
I’ll make a video on it. Actually been meaning to.
@@NormanWoods That would be amazing Norman! Thanks for your content!!!
THANK YOU!!!. This trick is annoying because it's difficult to train your mind to land on the other side of the kingpin. I keep doing nosegrinds but my body and shoulders are turned exactly like a front crook posture. SUPER ANNOYING 😅
Hey man ive skated with you at lake st i was doing the front crook on the long ledge 🤘🤘🤘 gonna keep trying till i get to the end of it🔥💯 i kinda got one a lil sketchy the other day
I remember. I think I saw the one you landed. I feel like this is more the fault of the uphill though. Been struggling to get a nollie heel crook, across that thing. I wish the ground had been leveled.
In the thumbnail was that on 17th street!? Dude that’s fuckin gnarly to front k that shit and that windows a lot taller than it looks on camera
It was a sketchy one. But, I was on a trip, with a great squad and the vibe carried me!
gonna be checking out the channel alot more norman! great trick tip!
🙌🙌🙌
Hey Norman, first of all your tips are great and you make yourself a great teacher. Do you lift weights or train on a daily/weekly basis and still skateboard? I found myself struggling with skating and lifting weights/going to the gym at the same time since I'm very, very sore after and can barely lift my legs. How do you balance it (if you do so)? Bless.
Thanks Luis. I train boxing and Muay Thai. Both once a week. The boxing comes with some strength and conditioning. Which includes some weights. I also have some kettlebell and dumbbell workouts, I do at home, and push-ups a few days a week. I avoid really heavy weight though. It doesn’t seem to help. I lean toward functional strength. As for soreness, i experience this on about 4 days out of my week. The more you push through it, the better adapted you become. There are even studies showing that the best relief from DOMS is to exercise. Keep pushing baby 👊🏾
@@NormanWoods Appreciate it your response. Thanks!!
Your trick tips have been a crutch during my appendicitis recovery. This trick will be mine once my gut doesn't feel like it's in knots.
Speedy recovery, and much luck back on your board. These are so much fun. They always keep you working.
